The Krabby Patty That Ate Bikini Bottom
Mr. Krabs uses Sandy's growth serum on a Krabby Patty with disastrous results.

- Call-Back: Sandy still has her coconut milk powered helicopter from "SpongeBob Vs. The Big One".
- Captain Obvious: When the krabby patty becomes to big to carry, Mr. Krabs gives SpongeBob a grocery bag to put it in.SpongeBob: Grocery bag? Where'd you get a grocery bag?Mr. Krabs: The grocery store.
- Comically Missing the Point: After SpongeBob rushes out of the kitchen with one shoe missing because of the growing krabby patty.SpongeBob: Squidward! That giant Krabby Patty is on a rampage! - Extreme Omnivore: As expected, the giant Krabby Patty eats everything in its path.
- Getting Eaten Is Harmless: Everyone absorbed by the Krabby Patty is harmlessly spat out at the end.
- Giant Food: Sandy uses her growth serum to create a giant soy bean, and Mr. Krabs uses it on raw krabby patty meat. Both grow large with disastrous results.
- Losing a Shoe in the Struggle: While trying to get out of the kitchen, one of SpongeBob's shoes gets absorbed by the growing krabby patty. Squidward later comments on it.
- Offscreen Teleportation: SpongeBob appears in Sandy's treedome the second Mr. Krabs dials the phone, even bringing over a krabby patty that Mr. Krabs was gonna ask him to bring.
- Painful Transformation: Absorbing all the krabby patty meat puts a lot of strain on SpongeBob's body.
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: SpongeBob does this when he struggles to carry the krabby patty as it grows. "Patty...becoming...awkward."
- A Rare Sentence: When the krabby patty starts to overtake the kitchen, SpongeBob states, "Never thought I'd say this, but I've gotta get out of this kitchen."
- Shout-Out: To The Blob
- The episode title is a spoof of the song The Eggplant That Ate Chicago.
- Mr. Krabs enters Sandy's dome for the first time and remarks, "It seems so much bigger once you're inside..." Sandy casually responds, "Yeah, that's what they all say."
- Shown Their Work: Mr. Krabs states that he can breathe air as long as he keeps his lungs moist. While crabs don't have lungs, they can breathe air as long their gills are moist.
- Swallowed Whole: Happens to everyone with the misfortune of meeting the patty.
- Toilet Humor: After Sandy puts her growth serum on the krabby patty, Mr. Krabs complains about the smell. Sandy then excuses herself to go to the bathroom.
Bubble Buddy Returns
SpongeBob takes care of his bubble friend Bubble Buddy's son.
"Bubble Buddy Returns" contains examples of:
- Babysitting Episode: The episode mainly focuses on SpongeBob looking after Bubble Buddy's son, Shiny.
- Badly Battered Babysitter: SpongeBob suffers a lot of physical abuse to keep Shiny from being popped.
- Big "NO!": SpongeBob shouts this a couple times when Shiny wanders off into danger
- Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: SpongeBob searches Squidward's cupboards for Shiny and finds various sharps objects, including cactuses, barbed wire, and cactuses protected by barbed wire.
- The Bus Came Back: This marks the second appearance of Bubble Buddy outside of video game appearances.
- Call-Back: Mr. Krabs unsurprisingly recalls that Bubble Buddy still owes him money.
- Jerkass: Shiny, when it becomes apparent that he knows the Hell he's putting SpongeBob through.
- Medium-Shift Gag: The inside of the Pillow Factory is shown as a live-action factory.
- Noodle Incident: After SpongeBob blows Shiny back to normal, he ends up having a second head. When Bubble Buddy returns, he only reacts by saying, "I see you've grown a second head again, son."
- Sequel Episode: To the episode "Bubble Buddy".
- The Silent Bob: Shiny doesn't say a single word throughout the episode aside from Blowing a Raspberry.
