Lighthouse Louie

SpongeBob cleans up the boating school's lighthouse, where he finds a cute but uncomfortable companion.

- Mama Bear: When SpongeBob goes to the top of the lighthouse, he is suddenly attacked by Louie. SpongeBob discovers afterwards that Louie has babies that she was protecting.
- Offscreen Teleportation: No matter how many times SpongeBob puts Louie outside, Louie always manages to get back in the lighthouse.
- Shout-Out: SpongeBob eating the canned krabby patty and flexing his arm is a reference to Popeye.
- Surprise Litter of Puppies: Louie is not only revealed to be a girl, but also has a litter of baby snails.
- Title Drop: SpongeBob says the episode's title when he says, "I think I'll call you Louie. Lighthouse Louie."
- Trailers Always Lie: A promo for this episode said that SpongeBob will finally get his driver's license, although the plot is entirely different.
- Your Tomcat Is Pregnant: "Louie" has a litter of babies.
Hiccup Plague

No one in Bikini Bottom is safe from a case of contagious hiccups.
"Hiccup Plague" contains examples of:
- Body Horror: Old Man Jenkins claims the hiccups have the ability to turn people inside out - Bubble Bass promptly does so in a grotesque fashion.
- Call-Back: Bubble Bass's hiccup cure is putting pickles under his tongue.
- Patrick's hiccup cure is eating snail po, which of course, SpongeBob is reluctant to try.
- Delayed Reaction: When Mr. Krabs attempts to scare SpongeBob's hiccups away, SpongeBob pauses for a moment before screaming in terror.
- Exorcist Head: This happens to Timmy and Tina when they eat spicy chips to give themselves the hiccups.
- Gasshole: Timmy burps loudly after chugging down a can of fizz bomb cola.
- Hiccup Hijinks: Hiccup bubbles cause everyone in Bikini Bottom to suffer from hiccups.
- Kids Are Cruel: Timmy and Tina who create the contagious hiccups just so they can watch it spread across Bikini Bottom.
- Laser-Guided Karma: At the end of the episode, Timmy and Tina catch the hiccup bubble they created.
- Medium Blending: Mr. Krabs's werewolf mask briefly turns live-action.
- Spraying Drink from Nose: Bubble Bass spray soda from his nose when he catches the hiccups, ruining the comic book he's reading.
- Tickle Torture: Sandy cures SpongeBob of his hiccups by tickling him.
- X Days Since: There's a chalkboard in the Krusty Krab that says "2 DAYS WITHOUT NONSENSE", since it's been a few days without anything bad happening, but due to the hiccups SpongeBob captured getting in the way of his work, this causes a disappointed Mr. Krabs to erase the "2" and replace it with "0".
