Tropes for this episode include:

  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: When Kurumu makes her first appearance in the episode, she walks right up to the audience and complains that it took so long.
  • Broken Aesop: The episode frames Yukari's actions as the actions of a child isolated by her intellect and is just lashing out, but Tsukune is very right in pointing out that her behavior is just going to isolate her even more than it already is. When her continued antics infuriate Tsukune, Moka shames him because she's Just a Kid and that he would know what it's like to feel alone and makes him out to be the bully in this scenario. Keep in mind that she intends to keep Moka away from her friends and prevent her from making new ones out of a misguided sense of solidarity, sexually objectifies her in public and continuously harasses, gaslights and torments Tsukune, even to the point of forcing him to sexually assault another classmate against his will. If she was older, this could be read as way scarier than it is.
  • Incompatible Orientation: When she is introduced, she is presented having a very open crush on Moka and by the end of the episode includes Tsukune in on that in a threeway fantasy. Neither of them necessarily appreciate it though, considering they are only interested in each other, Moka doesn't swing that way and Yukari's, you-know, 11 years-old.
  • Just a Kid: Moka gives this excuse to let off Yukari lightly when she harasses Tsukune, only for him to retort that it doesn't excuse her actions.
  • Monster of the Week: The Lizard Folk use her violation in dress code and her liberal use of magic as an excuse to exercise their Fantastic Racism against witches onto Yukari, Tsukune, Moka and Kurumu quick to fight them in her defense.
  • Not Me This Time: When Yukari makes Tsukune grope Kurumu, Moka accuses Kurumu of using her Hypnotic Eyes, something she denies.
  • Pants-Pulling Prank: After forcing Tsukune to grope Kurumu with her Voodoo Doll, she punctuates the moment by having him snag her panties as he falls, followed by a Beat to their shocked expressions and the sound of the wind blowing.
  • Psycho Supporter: Yukari tells Tsukune to his face that he doesn't deserve to be Moka's friend because of his painfully average grades and then uses magic to harass him when he doesn't cave in to her threats. She also declares that she intends on doing this to any boy that even gets near her. By the end of the episode, she backs off on this.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Played for Laughs. Throughout the episode, Yukari behaves in ways girls her age really shouldn't act. She inappropriately gropes Moka's breasts in public multiple times and she uses her magic to torment Tsukune in increasingly troubling ways, even having him grope Kurumu against his will using a Voodoo Doll.
