Tropes for this episode include:

• Abhorrent Admirer: When Moka, Kurumu and Tsukune fight the Coalition, the girls are very clearly unnerved by their propositions.
• Amazon Chaser: After she kicks their asses, the Coalition switches the object of their affection from Outer Moka, Kurumu and Yukari to Inner Moka.
• Canon Foreigner: The Fan Club Coalition are creations of the anime and don't appear in the manga.
• Fusion Dance: The Coalition's "Amalgam Attack" combines them all into a single monster.
• Monster of the Week: The Fan Club Coalition are a group of lower-ranking Youkai (a kasa-obake, a rokurokubi and a noppera-bō) who are all nerds with hopeless crushes on Tsukune's Unwanted Harem, declaring him their enemy in the process.
• Murder the Hypotenuse: The Coalition seems to think that if they got rid of Tsukune, they would have a better chance with his Unwanted Harem.
• No Guy Wants an Amazon: Downplayed. When the Coalition points out how much of a weakling Tsukune is, it really effects him, feeling guilty that they always have to come in and save him.
• Not What It Looks Like: When Yukari sees Tsukune walking off into the forest with a bag, they all assume that he is leaving, when really he was giving a bunch of letters to the bus driver to mail for him.
• Stalker Shrine: The Coalition has one with all three girls in it.
• Stalker with a Crush: The Coalition's stalking of Moka, Kurumu and Yukari does not go unnoticed, nor do they appreciate it.
