- Ignored Epiphany: After Kyra's emotional outburst, Reba assures Kyra that she and the other parents will stop asking her to be their spy, then she immediately asks her what do Brock and Barbara Jean say about her behind her back.
- Ironic Echo: Jake parroting his mom Reba after her explosive rant to Barbara Jean: "It's also wrong to lie, Davey".
- Must Have Caffeine: A disheveled Reba sarcastically grumbles to Kyra about her sleep deprivation and remarks that she needs some coffee before going to make some.
- New Baby Episode 3 months after their baby Elizabeth is born, Van, Cheyenne and Reba are miserable and prone to tears due to sleep deprivation.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Lampshaded by Reba who notices that Brock's acting like a loving husband and they're still married, Van and Cheyenne both talking like responsible adults instead of dumb teenagers and acting like their baby doesn't exist. This is because it's all a dream.
- Properly Paranoid: Reba thinks that Brock's new wife doesn't treat her kids right and let's them eat fast food. She turns out to be right after all and is not happy about it.
- Resentful Guardian: Cheyenne and Van both admit to each other that raising their baby is a nightmare.
