  • All Just a Dream: The first opening of the episode. Turned out to be just a nightmare of Reba's.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: Reba delivers one to Brock, asking him why did he pick Barbara Jean over her and their family.
    Reba: Why her?
    Brock: What?
Reba: Why her? Why Barbara Jean?
    Brock: She needs me, Reba.
    Reba: My kids needed you!
Brock: And they still have me. But you didn't want me anymore, Reba.
  • Armor-Piercing Response: Reba to Brock: "My kids needed you!".
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Brock plants one on Reba, much to her shock and disgust. Thankfully it was only a dream.
  • Blatant Lies: Barbara Jean claiming she doesn't give Jake fast food.
  • Brick Joke: Jake's smelly feet covered in gum which Reba brings up in an argument with Brock.
  • Catapult Nightmare: Reba wakes up from her alternate reality nightmare due to Jake's feet in her face.
  • Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male: Played for Laughs. When Brock makes a move on Reba, she pins him in a lock move on the kitchen counter.
Reba: What in the heck d you think you're doing?!
Brock: Well, right now, I'm wondering why we choose this color grout.
  • Fan Disservice: Brock, with his robe open in Reba's dream.
  • Ignored Epiphany: After Kyra's emotional outburst, Reba assures Kyra that she and the other parents will stop asking her to be their spy, then she immediately asks her what do Brock and Barbara Jean say about her behind her back.
  • Ironic Echo: Jake parroting his mom Reba after her explosive rant to Barbara Jean: "It's also wrong to lie, Davey".
  • Must Have Caffeine: A disheveled Reba sarcastically grumbles to Kyra about her sleep deprivation and remarks that she needs some coffee before going to make some.
  • New Baby Episode 3 months after their baby Elizabeth is born, Van, Cheyenne and Reba are miserable and prone to tears due to sleep deprivation.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Lampshaded by Reba who notices that Brock's acting like a loving husband and they're still married, Van and Cheyenne both talking like responsible adults instead of dumb teenagers and acting like their baby doesn't exist. This is because it's all a dream.
  • Properly Paranoid: Reba thinks that Brock's new wife doesn't treat her kids right and let's them eat fast food. She turns out to be right after all and is not happy about it.
  • Resentful Guardian: Cheyenne and Van both admit to each other that raising their baby is a nightmare.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Barbara Jean got Jake a Gamecube system so that they could play videogames together, much to Reba's dismay.
    • Reba compares the bickering Cheyenne and Van to Socrates and Plato.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Reba telling off Barbara Jean. All while forgetting that they're still present at her son's puppet show. "...WELL, I REFUSE TO LET MY SON GO TO LUNCH WITH A LIAR!".
  • Wise Beyond Their Years: Van and Cheyenne in Reba's dream.
