Chapter 25: The Taste of Pancakes
Muko and Cookie starting furry fighting training.
With the Spotter article having ruined Muko's reputation, Cookie takes it upon herself to comfort her and start her training on her own. Muko, seeing that Cookie has her back and is ready to help her move forward, earnestly begins her furry fighting training.
- Beat Them at Their Own Game: Muko practices kicking on the Fenny body pillow with Nyarai's face on it, implying that she's trying to beat Nyarai in a kick fight despite the latter specializing in them.
- Big Sister Instinct: Saniko still cares about Muko, worrying about the Spotter article and wondering about their beef with her little sister.
- Blatant Lies: Bill claims that he's ready to go back to work. However, his appearance, smoking habits, and mental health make it obvious that he's not ready.
- Blood from the Mouth: According to the extra page, Zebreastian overworked himself and started drinking too much to deal with the stress of his host job, resulting in him vomiting blood. After recovering, he quit his job and chose a more relaxing one at Monyan.
- Children Raise You: Bill Bunburger suffers from depression, and some health problems, forcing Saniko to take care of him and work in his stead. She also had to take care of Muko before Muko left the house.
- Comfort Food: Muko eats French fries and milkshakes because they taste like pancakes, her actual comfort food.
- Conspiracy Theorist: Bill Bunburger proves to be this as part of his deteriorating mental health, believing that Wilds are taking over the jobs and that Kalandesians are spying on them through electric sockets.
- Dartboard of Hate: To symbolize their new grudge against Nyarai for her betrayal, Muko and Cookie turn the Fenny body pillow into a punching bag by pasting a picture of Nyarai over Fenny's face. They scribble target marks on Nyarai while Muko practices kicks on it.
- Drowning My Sorrows: Zebreastian started drinking to deal with the stress of his host job. However, the combination of the drinking and overworking hospitalized him.
- Edible Theme Naming: Muko, Saniko, and Bill have the family name Bunburger.
- Fantastic Racism: Bill Bunburger, the father of Muko and Saniko, complains about Wilds stealing the jobs and believes that Kalandesians are plotting something.
- Formerly Fit: Back in 1993, Bill Bunburger was actually fit. Four years later, he developed a gut after losing his job.
- Fun T-Shirt: Muko wears a shirt that says "Pizza Muscle" when training with Cookie.
- Gratuitous Japanese: Muko says "Nani" when wondering about her training with the Monyan Girls. "Nani" means "What" in Japanese.
- Hooker with a Heart of Gold: The Monyan Girls are more than happy to help Muko overcome her weakness by letting her touch their breasts and see them naked.
- Rousing Speech: Cookie gives one to Muko telling her to forget the past and focus on the present, promising that she will personally train her since the gyms won't do it for them. This speech reinvigorates Muko's desire to fight.
- Smoking Is Not Cool: Bill is a chain smoker, to the disapproval of Saniko. It only adds to his poor health.
- So Beautiful, It's a Curse: Zebreastian was the most popular host in his previous job. However, it was very stressful because of the many proposals from his clients. He eventually quit and moved to a more relaxing job at Monyan.
- Suddenly Shouting: Cookie's advice to Muko begins by her shouting her sentences, pointing out that Muko can't change her past and must therefore focus on the present, starting with her diet.
- Super-Speed: Muko once again shows that she's very fast when she's properly motivated when Cookie is teaching her sprints. This time, though, she's learning to use it at will.
- Super Window Jump: Muko grabs Cookie and jumps through a window in a fit of passion to start her training. Cookie is not amused.
- Tasty Gold: Cookie bites the 5 Moni coin she scams out of a citizen with her Wounded Gazelle Gambit as she relishes her reward.
- Training from Hell: Muko wonders if her training to overcome her Weaksauce Weakness is this or the opposite.
- Training Montage: Cookie spends some pages telling Muko how to train. They also use some random sex toys and Muko's belongings as gym tools to aid in the meantime.
- Wounded Gazelle Gambit: Cookie pulls this off to get a 5 Moni coin by pretending a man broke her hip by making her fall to the ground. In reality, she fell over Muko's phone, but she exploited the breaking noise to her advantage.
