Surely Saw doesn't have a Verbal Tic which would hinder her team's performance in the challenge...
The eighth episode of Battle for BFDI and the 39th episode of the overall series, in which 8-Ball is eliminated and the featured challenge is a game show.
Tropes include:
- Badass Fingersnap: Donut uses one to turn the gravity back on, using the moon to crush 8-Ball as part of his elimination and subsequent death.
- Big "NO!": Done by Bubble when she is demoted from "bember" to "bemb".
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: After iance loses, Match pushes the left half of the voting screen aside to prove that Free Food cheated.
- Cheaters Never Prosper: Stapy uses a fake buzzer to put iance up for elimination, but Match catches footage of him cheating and Donut promptly puts Free Food up for elimination instead.
- Dick Dastardly Stops to Cheat: Despite knowing the answers to the questions in the quiz show challenge, Stapy wastes time making a fake buzzer when he could have easily won if he didn't try and cheat.
- The Dog Bites Back: After 8 episodes, Barf Bag finally stands up to Lollipop's torment of her:Barf Bag: (speaking to Donut) Sorry, my reflexes are too slow.
Lollipop: (pops up) It's the barf molecules.
Barf Bag: Shut it, Lolli-POOP! - Hypocrite: Fanny accuses Match of being this, as she berated Bubble for the entirety of the challenge just because she didn’t know the answers to a majority of the questions, while Match herself was no better.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Despite her verbally pressuring Bubble for most of the challenge, Match rightfully points out that iance should not be up for elimination due to Stapy’s cheating.
- Malicious Misnaming: Donut and Barf Bag both call Lollipop "Lolli-POOP" in response to her rude comments.
- Mouthscreen: The close-up of Match's mouth as she says "bemb" in slow-motion.
- Pet the Dog: Fanny, who's usually a grumpy jerk, goes out of her way to comfort Bubble in The Stinger for this episode.
- Reaching Between the Lines: Lollipop won't stop laughing over Donut calling himself "Bagel Brain", so Donut sticks his arms into his camera and they stick out of TV's screen to shut Lollipop up. Unfortunately, his camera can only transport matter one way, so he's stuck. Donut then proceeds to warp the Earth through the camera, freeing his arms and bringing the contestants who were on the moon back to Earth.
- Verbal Tic: Saw starts randomly screaming "EIGHT!" after inhaling 8-Ball's fumes, causing her to answer questions wrong during the challenge. She does, however, get one question right: "What's the past tense of 'eat'?" The answer, of course, is "ate", which sounds like "eight".
