Continues from De Regenbog (Looking For The Rainbow)

Because Queen Nora realizes that Alfred and his friends do not mean harm, they are allowed to see the pot of gold. Pikkie cannot control himself and steals it, escaping into the night. On the way home, Pikkie is in turn robbed by Dolf, who flees to Murena.

Tropes:

  • Apocalypse How: The world almost turns black and white.
  • Argentina Is Nazi Land: Dolf, a Hitler expy, is seen in South America-based Arlon continent, and says he has been living there for a while.
  • Banister Slide: Dolf during the chase.
  • Body Horror: Alfred is boiled until he turns red. What else might that entail?
  • Book Ends: The episode ends the same way the previous episode began - Henk walking to Alfred's house and admiring the rainbow with Alfred and Winnie. Only now it's Winnie who's in Alfred house when the rainbow appears, and it's Henk who calls the other two outside to see it.
  • The Casino: Dolf takes the pot of gold to Moreno, a stand-in for Monaco and its Monte Carlo casino.
  • Cave Behind the Falls: The pot of gold's location.
  • Dub Name Change:
    • A minor one, but in the finnish dub queen Nora is queen Noora.
    • Murena is named Moreena/Morena in the finnish dub.
  • The Gambling Addict: Dolf has accumulated a massive debt to a criminal casino, and seems particularly infatuated with roulette.
  • Hammerspace: Where did the sleeping bags come from? They didn't appear to be on the boat.
  • The Mafia: The jackals who run the casino in Murena and almost murder Dolf over his gambling debt have Italian accents.
  • Mind-Control Eyes: Initially they're just red, but Pikkie's eyes start turning swirly as he looks on the gold pot.
  • Never Say "Die": The english dub has the jackals use euphenisms or talk about throwing hom out. On the other hand the finnish dub has them explicitly talk about killing him and threatening to do so.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Pikkie when he sees the pot of gold.
  • Soft Water: Alfred and Dolf both survive a very high freefall into sea, Dolf even crashing headfirst while Alfred crashes wing-first into him with neither of them sustaining any injury.
  • Stewed Alive: Alfred almost dies this way. When he's finally pulled out, he has turned red.
  • Spoiler Title: In finnish,"The pot of gold dissappears". At least the finnish titles aren't shown in the beginning, only the dutch ones which were presumably drawn in.
  • Unexpected Character: You propably weren't expecting for Dolf to make a sudden appearance.
