Go To

Professor Paljas is worried about the acid rains, and therefore wants to develop an environmentally friendly fuel. Rokodil and Hannibal see their interests in the oil company at risk and hire Dolf to steal the blueprints.

Tropes:

  • Body Horror: Lispel's way of drinking from Rokodil's bottle involves some bizarre and impossible contortion of his "face".
  • Brief Case Full Of Money: Rokodil gives Dolf a briefcase filled with gold coins.
  • Call-Back:
    • Lispel uses Alfred's reedmower from episode 20 as a proof of his high intelligence.
    • Dolf refers to the events of episode 40 as a reason he no longer wants to get dragged into Rokodil's business.
  • Dub Name Change:
    • The country Dolf is hiding in is called "Moreena" in the Finnish dub.
    • The Finnish dub names Rokodil's hippo partner "Virta Heponen", pun on the Finnish word for "hippo" ("virtahepo").
    • Meanwhile the English dub insists that the hippo is Hannibal, despite the fact that this hippo has appeared in an earlier episode, and Hannibal appeared after those episodes with his normal design. This guy isn't actually Hannibal.
  • Furry Confusion: Two non-anthropomorphic crows appear, but the series has anthropomorphic crow characters.
  • The Gambling Addict: Dolf says he wants to play roulette for the rest of his life, and he's still in massive debt to a casino.
  • Karma Houdini: Lispel leaves Rokodil's mansion with the gold coins and is both never caught and never appears again.
  • Never Recycle Your Schemes: Rokodil once again sends Dolf to steal from Von Paljas, which did succeed the last time but they still didn't win. This time it leads the police to him and he and his partner are arrested along with Dolf.
  • Protagonist-Centered Morality: During the car chase Alfred violates traffic laws, causes significant property damage and almost kills several people, and appears to actually try to kill one. However there are no consequences even when the police comes into picture.
  • Retired Monster: Dolf wants to be one, but the hippo coerces him into one last bob because he has massive gambling debts he needs to pay.
  • Trapped by Gambling Debts: Dolf hasn't been able to pay the one mentioned in the previous episode, but the hippo gets him onboard with Rokodil's scheme by promising him lots of money.
