Left At London provides examples of the following tropes:

  • Anti-Christmas Song: "Santa's Homophobic," a comedy song with ProZD and SonicFox.
  • Anti-Police Song: Jenny Durkan, Resign in Disgrace is a two-song extended play written in response to the summer 2020 Black Lives Matter protests following the killing of George Floyd that May. Both "Do You See Us? (Ft. Nobi)" and "as blue as a bruise" have anti-police lyrics.
  • Ballad of X: "The Ballad of Marion Zioncheck."
  • Bittersweet Ending: "THIS IS A PROTEST FOR YOUR HEART!!!" is about being suicidal, but ultimately choosing to live out of spite.
  • Cover Version: Of "Oh, Maker" by Janelle Monáe.
  • Epic Rocking: "Pills & Good Advice", clocking in at just over 10 minutes.
  • Face on the Cover: On Transgender Street Legend Vol. 1 & 2.
  • Genre Mashup: Her music is usually summarized as indie pop, but it contains elements of Hip-Hop, Alternative Rock, Drum and Bass, Alternative Dance, Singer-Songwriter, and Hyper Pop.
  • Genre Roulette: t.i.a.p.f.y.h. definitely counts as this.
  • Historical Biography Song / One-Man Song: "The Ballad of Marion Zioncheck", about a leftist Washington senator during the 1930s who committed suicide.
  • Idiosyncratic Cover Art: The Transgender Street Legend series, volume 1 shows Nat holding flowers while someone holds a knife to her throat, volume 2 shows Nat crying holding a knife while in prison, the third shows a gloved hand washing a bloody knife.
  • Initialism Title: Her first album t.i.a.p.f.y.h. It has two meanings, both titles of songs from the album: “there is a place for you here.” and “THIS IS A PROTEST FOR YOUR HEART!!!”
  • Non-Appearing Title: "Kudzu." She said she named it that because her friend had a dream about an album called with that title.
  • Protest Song: Both songs on Jenny Durkan, Resign in Disgrace.
  • Sampling: Three on t.i.a.p.f.y.h.
    • "Cute Thing" (the 2011 recording) by Car Seat Headrest is sampled towards the end of "Pills & Good Advice."
    • "Bible Dipped Dictionary" by Floral Tattoo on "there is a place for you here."
    • "PF TEK FREESTYLE" by William Crooks on "Kudzu."
  • Shout-Out: The namesake of the Transgender Street Legend series is a real deep cut of a reference—in an old vine where someone tries to convince a guy to listen to their mixtape, the title written on the CD is Transgender Street Legend Vol. 1.
  • Split Personality: Addressed on "Will My Alters Go To Heaven?" Nat has Dissociative Identity Disorder, and "alters" are what people with DID call their alternate "personalities"—Nat wonders if all of her alters will go to heaven, or if only she will, or only one of the alters will and she'll be left behind.
  • You Are Not Alone: From the subject to the narrator in “there is a place for you here.”: I used to think I wasn’t good enough/You let me know I was and sure enough/Now that I know I’m not alone/I can prevail
