Devin Millar (born April 6 2000) is a musician and animator. He is multi-talented at other things besides his music, such as comedy video work. He has received social media attention for these as much as his music.

The notable aspect of him is that he is famous for defying social norms with a great passion. He's even started that it's his mission in life to do so and sacredly follows it.

Devin Millar and his music contain examples of:

  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Frank makes the children in "Grumpydad" wash the dishes, will spank them if they don't, and constantly wants to talk with them.
  • Author Appeal: In the art and music, the men and boys crossdress, and the girls and women love girly activities alongside rough or boyish activities.
  • Bigger Is Better in Bed: "BFD" is about Eli and Joko and their abnormally large penises, and about how much attention they get from girls.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: The song “Boxer” is about Devin who is a professional boxer who wears a girl’s nightgown.
  • Celebrity Song
    • "Tonya (Pump Tonya)" is about infamous figure skater, Tonya Harding, and her life.
    • "Like K.A.A.N" is about a Maryland-born rapper who is known for rapping very fast in his style. Devin himself emulates this in the song.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: In-Universe. In the music video for "Doll Life", Jack and his doll gang defeat Frank playing the boss of the Underwater Mafia. Jack suggests that Frank joins them and wear the same outfit they are. Frank and his goons decide to come along and perform in Las Vegas on a huge stage. Now being friends.
  • Deep South: The video for "Grumpydad" is about Frank being an abusive child slave owner in a farmhouse located in Florida but on the border of Georgia.
  • Eat the Camera: In the video for "Hoody" as the gang party members approach the stage to dance, one of them gets their mouth close to the camera.
  • Friend to All Children: Devin's target audience is kids and teenagers, and he's known for his fondness for his younger fans.
  • Getting Crap Past the Radar: Many songs in the album “Soulers” contain words like motherfucker and bitch but they weren’t labeled as explicit.
  • Go-Getter Girl: Millicent is a teenage girl who aced her entire high school exam among other things as seen by her trophies in the videos for "Daddy" and "Blush" which tell her story.
  • Incredibly Long Note: Devin often holds his notes to emphasize the emotion in every song which also counts as a Lyrical Tic.
  • Large Ham: Devin Millar yells when he sings most of the time, and he has a habit of holding his notes for very long.
  • Lions and Tigers and Humans... Oh, My!: In "BFD" it is revealed that all the anthropomorphic animals coexist with the humans in the animated universe, and Eli and Joko have human friends and they all dance to the song even while wearing the same one-piece outfit.
  • Lyrical Dissonance: "The Bandwagon" is about a violent protest with people dying in horrific ways but the song is very upbeat. Thankfully we are reminded about this at the end.
  • Manchild: With the way Devin dresses, his vocabulary and lyrics, and the inclusion of childish subjects in his music, he is essentially a giant kid. His voice is also squeaky-sounding, to top it all off.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: Since Frank is only an actor in the music videos, he is friendly toward the children he knows and is a school principal.
  • Roger Rabbit Effect: Sometimes Jack and the gang, in animated form, appear in live-action music videos. They interact with the real Devin Millar, as well as the environment around them. Examples of music videos where they were featured include "Axe My House", "Snack Shack".
  • Shout-Out:
    • In "Hoody" the scenery appears to be based on Los Santos complete with the cul-de-sac where the party takes place, which resembles the "Grove Street" location and the giant house resembles Carl Johnson's house. You can also see the "Vanilla Unicorn" strip club in the background.
  • Show Within a Show: According to descriptions, the animated videos that tell stories are Jack and his friends acting and are music videos being created by an animated version of Devin Millar himself.
  • Signature Headgear: Before 2019, he wore a fedora hat. He also created a song named after it.
  • Slapstick: Everyone, including the female and background characters get Amusing Injuries or misfortune involving injury in the videos.
  • True Blue Femininity: Millicent always wears blue outfits and is a teenage girl.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser:
    • Jack, who appears in the music videos frequently, is this to a large extent. He is a boy who heavily wears dresses, high heels, has eyelashes which gives him a resemblance to the female characters, and wears a padded bra.
    • Eli, the teenage bear character in the video for "BFD" briefly wears a skirt while dancing in front of a spiral background.
