I'll Be Gay! Body Switcheroo (Geinaru! Tadaima Ire Kawarichuu) is a Yaoi manga one-shot created by SUKE6@ in 2015.

The apathetic Kei Nijimoto is sick and tired of his inability to climax which is enough of a justifiable reason to jump off a building to his death. Unluckily for him, an overly-dramatic and narcissistic fashion model known as Sho Narumiya happened to be right below Kei and cushioned his fall with his cranial.

The next thing both of them knew, they woke up in hospital beds with each other's names... and faces! Somehow that head collision caused an inexplicable body swap and with no definite way of switching, Sho was rightly freaked out that not only a stranger is in his transcendingly beautiful body but Kei was still trying to kill himself in it. But as they are at one another's throats, Sho accidentally touches Kei's (his) bare chest and had the sudden realisation: "I can fool around with my own body...!"

And so begins the romance of the emotional guy who loves himself more than anything else and the emotionless guy who hates himself more than anything else.

Contains the following tropes:

  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Kei wanted to end his life for being unable to enjoy sex or climax with his body and jumped off a building as a result. Thanks to the switch, Kei finally has a sensitive body which he takes full advantage of at first by taking Sho's virginity but later realises he isn't satisfied or happy in the slightest since his problems run much deeper than he thought. Thus, he still continued his suicide attempts Sho has to intervene until he found his real reason to live.
  • Driven to Suicide: Kei jumped off a building for the absurd reason of not being sensitive any more to stimuli (in this case sex) which kickstarted the plot in motion after he fell on top of Sho and switches bodies with him. Even after getting what he wanted because of the switch, he realised the actual reason for his depression was crippling loneliness which made Kei try to hang himself until his time with Sho made him change his mind.
  • First Time Feeling: Neither Kei nor Sho has ever experienced romantic attraction until they met each other due to the former's fatalism and the latter's narcissism. Chapter 5 exemplifies this when Sho experience what he describes as a melty feeling in the chest after a particularly intimate moment which Kei thought it was a heart attack or something since he never had this problem before, both completely unaware of a little emotion called love.
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: After having a nasty head collision, the apathetic, suicidal Kei and the narcissistic, drama-king Sho switch bodies with their stark contrasting personalities and antics being hilarious. After spending most of the story struggling to adapt to their swapped lives, they manage to figure out that kissing each other allowed them to switch back.
  • Her Boyfriend's Jacket: Same-sex example. Kei tries wearing his old clothes in Sho's body but they don't fit, giving Sho an immense reaction of the trope since he loves himself and handing him a tracksuit to match the one he's currently wearing.
  • Hidden Depths: In spite of him being a raging Narcissist, Sho is surprisingly good at cleaning and cooking, managing to transform Kei's collateral damage of an apartment into something liveable and give him the first decent meal he had in years.
  • Interrupted Suicide: Kei tried jumping off a building and hanging himself twice but all three times were foiled by Sho, especially since the hanging attempts were done post-"Freaky Friday" Flip.
  • Narcissist: If you look up the definition in the dictionary, you would find Sho's name instead. He takes great care and pride in his image, appearance and body to the point that he is incapable of loving anyone but himself. It really says something that Sho genuinely falls in love and has sex for the first time in his life with Kei only because the latter was in the former's body.
  • Screw Yourself: After the shock of switching bodies settles down, Sho is way too eager to have his way with his incredibly beautiful and sexy body that's currently occupied by Kei since he's that big of a Narcissist. Even after letting Kei into his heart, Sho still looks forward to being able to switch bodies with him at will for less than savory reasons:
Sho (in Kei's body): [Thinking aloud upon understanding the mechanics] Unlimited body switches whenever I want which means I can fuck myself whenever I want! Muy Bueno...
Kei (in Sho's body): Down boy. [Slaps Sho hard]
  • Stealth Pun: Normally, Kei is the top and Sho is the bottom in their relationship but are interchangeable depending on whose mind is in whose body. In other words, the two are a literal switch couple.
  • Trash of the Titans: Kei's apartment is such a cluttered overfilled dumpster that he has his one-night stands at hotels. Sho takes it upon himself to clean up the mess, leaving countless trash bags and Kei surprised at how spotless his apartment is for the first time.
