Original Continuity
  • Ada Wong is a mysterious and morally ambiguous spy who has used her wits, skills, and charisma to always come out on top in the horrifying world of Resident Evil. First appearing in the second game, posing as a civilian in Raccoon City where she manipulates Rookie cop, Leon Scott Kennedy, into helping her steal the G-Virus sample from the Umbrella Corporation before making her escape from the zombie-infested city. Sent by Albert Wesker to Spain to retrieve a dominant species Las Plagas from the Los Iluminados cult in Resident Evil 4, Ada betrays Wesker by giving him a simple subordinate species, while giving the dominant species to her true superiors and help Leon kill the cult's leader, Osmund Saddler. Ada would later be sent to The Easter Slav Republic in Damnation disguised as a BSAA representative, where she would help Leon expose President Svetlana Belikova's tyranny while also making a deal to have her arrest warrant expunged. When Ada learns of her doppelgänger's identity in Resident Evil 6, Carla Radames, and Carla's plan to cause global scale destruction and frame Ada for it, Ada tells Derek Clifford Simmons of Carla's location in China pitting the two against each other, while discreetly helping the heroes to ensure the two’s downfalls, before destroying Carla's lab and taking a job soon after.
  • HUNK is a high-ranking commander of the Umbrella Security Service known by the monikers "Mr. Death" and "Grim Reaper" for always surviving and completing Umbrella's most dangerous missions. First appearing in 2 (and its Remake), HUNK leads Umbrella's Alpha Team to Raccoon City to retrieve the G-Virus from William Birkin. Despite losing his team to the mutated Birkin, HUNK remains committed to completing his mission and successfully delivers the G-Virus to Umbrella after spending days surviving the zombie-infested city. He also delivers a special container from Antartica to Rockfort Island on Alfred Ashford's request, though he does question Ashford on what's inside it. Although Umbrella collapses in 2003, HUNK's legacy would remain where he becomes a legendary mercenary whose skills are second to none.
  • Resident Evil 4: Chief Bitores Mendez is one of Osmund Saddler's lieutenants within the Los Illuminados and "The Big Cheese" of the village who combines cunning intelligence with frightening strength. When Leon Kennedy begins investigating the village to find the president's daughter, Mendez organizes the villagers in stopping him, setting up various ambushes and deploying monsters against Leon. Mendez personally confronts Leon multiple times, defeating him with ease and only sparing his life on Saddler's orders. Mendez also captures and nearly kills Ada Wong when she interferes. Setting up one final ambush for Leon, Mendez's only reaction to Leon blowing him up is to mutate into a more dangerous form and continues fighting even after being reduced to just a torso.
  • Revelations: Raymond Vester and Jessica Sherawat are spies sent by TRICELL Inc. to retrieve a sample of the T-abyss virus. To divert everyone from discovering their true agendas, they would work on opposing sides; Raymond would collaborate with BSAA director Clive R. O'Brian to stage a fake kidnapping of Chris Redfield luring Jill Valentine and Parker Luciani onto the ship, Queen Zenobia, allowing them to learn the truth behind the destruction of Terragrigia, while Jessica would become The Mole for FBC commissioner Morgan Lansdale infiltrating the BSAA to destroy any evidence linking Lansdale's involvement in said destruction. Escaping the sinking ship, Jessica and Raymond would meet up where Raymond hands over the virus to Jessica before they go their separate ways.
  • Village: Mother Miranda is the respected ruler of the village, the leader of the Four Lords, and the architect behind the entire franchise. Having lost her daughter Eva to the Spanish Flu, Miranda does whatever she can to revive her daughter, which leads her to the discovery of the Megamycete underneath the village. Using it to gain immortality, Miranda would also discover the Mold, a virus connected to the Megamycete that resurrects the dead. Having inspired a young Oswell E. Spencer into creating a resurrection virus of his own after saving his life and tutoring him in the ways of science, Miranda would later kidnap four people and use the Mold to transform them into horrific monstrosities to serve as her false family. After hearing of Rosemary Winters's newfound abilities, Miranda kidnaps her mother Mia and poses as her to kidnap the baby, escaping from Chris Redfield's grasp after her supposed death. Posing as an old hag, Miranda manipulates Ethan Winters into killing her Four Lords in order to power the Megamycete, planning to use both that and Rose's power to fully resurrect Eva, even killing Ethan herself once his purpose has been served. After her death her mind survived in the Megamycete and continued to plan her daughter's revival. Miranda created an illusion of Rose's friend to lure her into the Megamycete in order to sever her connection to it, whereupon Miranda intends to turn Rose into a "vessel" for Eva, killing Ethan again when he interferes.

REmake Continuity

  • Ada Wong is a mysterious, morally ambiguous secret agent. Introduced saving Leon's life from an infected dog, then saving him from Mr. X by luring him into a trap, Ada poses as an FBI agent to manipulate Leon into helping her acquire a G-virus sample from Umbrella for her client. Later heading to Europe to acquire a Plagas sample for her new client, Ada frequently saves Leon's life and tricks former Umbrella scientist Luis into leading her to the amber containing the Plagas samples. Willing to leave Ashley to die for the sake of Leon's survival, Ada helps Leon take down Osmund Saddler in order to get off the island, and upon finding out her client's plan to kill billions with Plagas, Ada chooses to forgo her deal and keep the sample for herself.
  • Resident Evil 4 (Remake):
    • Osmund Saddler is the leader of Los Illuminados ("The Enlightened Ones") and host of the Las Plagas parasite who forgoes his original iteration's hypocrisy and cruelty. A Well-Intentioned Extremist who seeks to spread Plagas across the entire world in order to unite every human under his control and rid the planet of evil, Saddler charms his way into Salazar Castle in order to get the sick Ramon to help him acquire the Plagas hidden underneath his castle, spreading it amongst the villagers under the guise of curing their madness as a way to control them. Having Jack Krauser kidnap the U.S. president's daughter Ashley Graham with hopes of using her as his secret plant to spread Plagas, Saddler also has Leon injected with Plagas in order to gain control over him. Coming close to succeeding multiple times, upon encountering Leon for one final battle, Saddler proves himself defiant till the very end, a firm believer of his cause who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals of a utopia.
    • Bitores Mendez, the village chief, is one of Osmund Saddler's top servants whose brains match his brawns. A devoted follower of Saddler who has dedicated his life to fighting off the heathens who dare oppose him, Mendez plants traps, defensive fortresses, and surprise attacks to defend his master. Luring Leon into a trap and knocking him out, Mendez injects a sample of Plagas into him in order for Saddler to eventually take control of him. Frequently besting Leon during their encounters, Mendez's loyalty to Saddler fuels him enough to where he will allow nothing to stand in his way, leaving his mark as Saddler's greatest henchman.

Netflix Series

  • Albert Wesker is one of two clones of the original who retains his brilliance while lacking his sociopathy. Initially appearing as a kind, if odd, man, Wesker shows his ruthlessness when his daughter Billie is accused of attacking another student, leveraging his position at Umbrella to force the student's father to drop the issue lest his career be ruined. When Billie breaks into an Umbrella facility and is bitten by a zombie dog, Wesker pretends that he was actually attacked to keep her safe. When Umbrella captures a reporter, Wesker reluctantly tortures the man under CEO Evelyn Marcus' orders in order to not arouse suspicion of himself. After his daughters uncover a series of intricate clues designed to help them escape Umbrella if needed, Wesker murders the reporter to keep Billie's infection from being revealed. When Evelyn discovers Billie's infection, Wesker blows himself up in an attempt to kill her, allowing his daughters and clone brother to escape Umbrella.
  • Richard Baxter is a quirky yet ruthless Umbrella agent sent to capture Jade Wesker. After nearly capturing her in their first meeting, Baxter tracks her to Dover and uses Umbrella's resources and his own investigative skills to foil both of her attempts to escape to France. Retaining his sense of humor even after being shot and captured by a psychotic cult, Baxter picks the lock to his and Jade's cage and frees his fellow Umbrella agents to stage an escape. Baxter then proves himself to be an excellent combatant, wiping out a horde of zombies and several cultists with precision and flair.
