Literature: The Butcher's Boy
The Butcher's Boy is the No Name Given Hitman and Villain Protagonist from Thomas Perry's first novel of the same name, He is a sociopathic, amoral killer and Badass of considerable ability who has to evade both government agents and Mafia thugs when a Mafia boss orders a Contract On The Hitman after a underling hires the hitman to do a kill on a U.S. Senator without the knowledge of the boss. He is also the Retired Badass in Perry's sequel Sleeping Dogs.

The Butcher's Boy got his nickname when, as a child, he became the "adopted" son of Eddie, a part-time butcher and Mafia hitman who took the boy along on hits as part of his disguise and for companionship. He subsequently taught the boy the trade of being a successful hitman.
