"So as long as you're in there, Andy... I'll never give up."

Spoilers Off applies to all "Moments" pages, so spoilers are unmarked.

Intro Arc

  • Andy cutting Fuuko's hair in the first chapter. It's the first time he's shown to be more than just some wacko trying to kill himself, and it means a lot to Fuuko since it's the first one she's gotten since her power developed.
  • When Shen offers either Fuuko or Andy a seat on the Union to replace Void, Andy immediately gives Fuuko the seat and even agrees to be locked up again to ensure her safety. Likewise, after failing to change his mind, Fuuko offers to sleep with him as to possibly give him the Unluck he needs to permanently die.

Gina Arc

  • Chapter 5 gives us Fuuko admitting that, despite how crazy her life has become thanks to Andy's sudden appearance, she's actually grateful that she's been able so much in such a short amount of time.
  • The cover of chapter 8 shows us Andy using his blood to spell out "Happy Birthday Gina" back when he was in captivity.
  • Andy's treatment of Gina counts as this. He stays with her as she's dying instead of finishing her off, giving her a kiss and an embrace to help comfort her as she slips away, even calling her beautiful. Note that this is as her power is failing and all the makeup she had on is crumbling away, revealing her actual age.
Gina: No, stop... Not while I look like this...
Andy: You dummy. A few wrinkles ain't gonna change how beautiful you are.
  • Andy and Fuuko toasting to Gina after she dies, and agreeing to change the Union so that no one has to suffer as she did once they join.

Spoil Arc

  • Tatiana being angry at Andy for killing Gina counts as one, especially since not a single other member seems to care about the death of their teammate.
  • Andy agreeing to marry a zombified woman to help her fulfill her life long dream. Also, the zombies protecting Andy from Spoil's attack.
  • The way children of Longing are able to ward off Spoil's curse; by clinging onto the dreams they hope to achieve when they get older. Their teacher is also worth noting, as she not only taught them how to avoid spoiling but risked her own life to save theirs, holding onto her self of sense long enough to be able to communicate to Andy where Spoil is.
  • Chapter 14 gives a moment that's heartwarming mixed with a bit of awesome: Fuuko standing up to Spoil after the UMA chastises her and humanity as a whole for rejecting him and his rule. She argues against him, claiming that she'll never let herself spoil away until she's achieved her dream of becoming a normal girl. Considering how Fuuko was attempting suicide in the manga's first chapter, it's incredibly heartwarming to see that she now not only completely rejects the thought of dying, but also believes that she can and will live a happy life in the future.
  • The stipulations Andy gives Shen in order for him to transform into Victor. One is simply that Shen beat Victor and restore Andy back in control. The other one, though? That Shen protects Fuuko no matter what.
  • Andy and Fuuko's Big Damn Kiss after Fuuko manages to temporarily bring Andy back from being Victor. It's mainly done to defeat Victor, but Fuuko's blushing reaction, plus the happy looks on Tatiana and Top's faces, make the whole thing super cute.
  • Andy apologizing for not letting Fuuko in on his and Shen's plan to summon Victor, with him also telling her that, while he was stuck inside his own mind, he could still hear her voice, which made him very happy. He even calls her by her real name, instead of "brat," for the first time in the series.

Unrepair Arc

  • Pictured above, chapter 21 has Andy confiding in Fuuko that he's unsure as to whether Victor is his original personality or not, and that he can't guarantee that Victor won't return in the future. Fuuko responds by assuring him that, no matter what, she'll always be there to pull Andy back to the surface.
  • In chapter 22, Fuuko questions as to whether joining the Union is really that much better than being sold in an auction since it's really just a choice between doing painful quests or becoming a fat cat's plaything. Andy responds by admitting that he'd believed for the longest time that Negators only had three choices: accept their lot in life, kill themselves, or become criminals. However, his short time with the Union and Fuuko showed him a fourth option: you can fight for a better world.
  • Chapter 24:
    • Fuuko taking one of Rip's thrown scalpels to the stomach in order to protect Chikara, despite knowing that it would put her on death's door.
    • Likewise, Chikara swallowing his fear so he can use his power to save Fuuko and Andy from some mafia goons, shown alongside a flashback to his mother's dying words:
"Chi, dear? Listen to me, okay? You're going to meet a lot of people over the course of your life. Some may even show you kindness... cherish those people. If they are in trouble... take a moment to pause... and then move again... to help those people. If you do, I'm certain that... every one of those people... will become irreplaceable to you."
    • Andy's reaction to Chikara and his ability, especially compared to Rip's complete dismissal of him earlier:
"Sick kid! You're wicked sick in my book!"
  • Chapter 25:
    • Tatiana challenging Andy to fight to defend the late Gina's honor. While she doesn't have the full story, believing that Andy never understood her feelings when he truly did, it's nice to see Tatiana angry about her teammate's death when the rest of the Union barely seemed to care.
    • Fuuko calming Tatiana down when her ability threatens to be released. Fuuko apologizes for Gina's death, since her Unluck dealt the fatal blow, and promises to do everything in her power to make up for it. Later, Fuuko has a talk with Tatiana in her room, where the two become friends after Fuuko extends her hand to Tatiana, saying that she hopes the two can shake hands without a suit in the way.
    • Tatiana intentionally releasing her ability to help save Fuuko, telling the Negator Hunters that she'll pulverize them for hurting someone she cares about.
  • A flashback in chapter 26 has Billy rescuing Tatiana from a black market auction and restoring her will to live by feeding her the long cake bars that he developed specifically for her.

Autumn Arc

  • Remember the start of the manga where Fuuko had delayed her suicide attempt until after she read the end of her favorite manga? It turns out that not only did said author see her as one of their heroes (due to receiving future visions), she and the others were part of what gave him the strength to keep going and write that manga to start with. Both of them ended up giving the other the strength to keep going.
  • After defeating Autumn, Andy goes on to pay tribute to Anno and Akira by giving an air fist bump. Andy doesn't even know where he is, or if he's there, but knowing he was a key player in their success he at least wanted to acknowledge the guy. Luckily for him, Akira was there, invisible as always, but responding to the fist bump in tears of relief.

Spring Arc

  • After being separated due to Under, both Fuuko and Andy some to realize their feelings for one another. After being reunited during the Spring battle, Andy fully admits his feelings when he sees Fuuko again, although he plays it off when she asks for clarification. Nonetheless, Andy does tell her in no uncertain terms that they need to have a long talk after the battle is over.

Ragnarok Arc

  • Chapter 123: Despite Victor being being portrayed as The Stoic or as a Blood Knight when he's encountered, seeing Juiz's memories of what happened during the American Civil War shows his devotion and love to her. The only thing that kept him sane despite billions of years waiting alone before civilization or Juiz in many of the loops was her. Unfortunately, this is mixed with Tear Jerker as this was the point where he hits the Despair Event Horizon and wants to kill her so that her life in the final loop can be happy.
  • Chapter 124: Andy finishes going over his first memories and we see glimpses of his past without the Fake Memories Fuuko created thanks to Anno Un. Despite all the pain and suffering he went through thanks to his Negator powers, he affirms his hope that Fuuko gave him and even though Juiz offers up her life in compensation for his pain, his only request is for her to observe his happiness.
  • Chapter 126: Fuuko wants to at least aid her friends in the fight against Ragnarok but is told that the Ark will reset if she gets up while it is charging. She begins to think about how her Unluck always causes those around her to die and Andy seeing the pain on her face gives her a bear hug. He then comforts her by reminding her of their goals and saying that she's not the God of Death she thinks herself to be.
  • While her love for her comrades was always shown and stated, Juiz's feelings are given physical form when she uses the artifact Rebellion. Thinking back to the good times, bad times, their suffering and their deaths that she's held onto for billions of years, it manifests as a humongous BFS comparable in size to Sun. Regardless of how cold she can be at times, Juiz's love for her comrades has always remained with her.
  • The first page of Chapter 132 has Fuuko waving goodbye to all the negators seen throughout the series aside from Andy and them waving, thumbing up, saluting, or otherwise seeing her off (except Feng and Ruin) regardless of her relationship to them.
  • After going through the loop and a clear Time Skip, what is the first thing we see Fuuko do? Find a young Akira Kuno (Anno Un) and prevent him from touching the G-Liner that would have made him Unknown.

Union Arc

  • Upon finishing explaining to Akira Kuno about his role in the previous loop, Fuuko drops him off back home and intends to have him live out a normal happy life with his mother. When questioned about this by Move, she simply says that he's done enough.
  • Fuuko is determined to save EVERYONE in the final loop. This not only includes all members of Under, some of whom only teamed up at the very end of the loop like Feng, but also Sean (who, like Feng, attempted to kill her albeit sneakily) and Ruin.
  • It isn't until she's recruited both Nico and Nemuri in the final loop that Fuuko realizes she's accidentally played Cupid with the two. And despite Fuuko's concerns that she just Ret-Gone'd Mico out of existence when their first interaction goes sour, said interaction plays out exactly the same as before.
  • After stopping Gina's Traumatic Superpower Awakening and easily defeating UMA Heat, Fuuko excitedly asks Gina to be her friend. One gets the impression that this is something she wanted since her original fight with Gina led to her death.
  • Fuuko uses Soul Caliber to send Gina into her past, and after viewing the events of their meeting, she encounters the soul of herself from the previous loop. While Gina's previous self bears no grudges for Fuuko and Andy killing her, she doesn't want to help her since they are love rivals. However, upon seeing that Fuuko kept the jacket that she used to wear for 172 years and gave it to the current Gina, she relents, saying they're now friends not rivals.
  • Even without their memories of their previous selves, Nico doesn't hesitate to shield Ichico as Autumn and her juniors close in.
  • Fuuko finding a way for Ichico to get some sleep by separating her soul from her body, meaning Ichico no longer will die from her lack of sleep. Hearing this makes Nico cry happily as he’s holding Ichico’s sleeping body... unaware that Ichico’s soul is still in the room and blushing at the display of his real emotions.
  • In an odd way, the whole Void vs. Fuuko boxing match is this. In keeping with her goal to prevent the tragedy of the negators while recruiting Union members, she approaches the fight as something of a sales pitch to get Void to join up willingly. Now instead of previous loops where he joins up after being kicked out of boxing due to killing his opponent, now he leaves due to being enticed by the opportunity to fight greater opponents and monsters and able to end his boxing career on a high note.

Negator War Arc

  • Creed's motivations. He deeply cares about his men and is disgusted when they are all left for dead despite ostensibly being there to eliminate the superweapon Disc. The only reason he and his men joined the conflict was to prevent wars, leaving him infuriated when it's revealed they were written off. It also heavily implies that his motivations for forming Under with Billy and Tella to Take Over the World were for this very reason.
    • Also, said men tried to save Creed when Fuuko knocked him out and Creed finds them under the barrier with the rest of the Union after Fuuko explained the situation and took them in. This gesture of kindness is implied to be what wins Creed over to help the Union.
  • After Sean's panicking against Creed's endless machine gun assault almost results in disaster and Creed berates him as a miscast, Sean asks why the Union saved him in the first place. Fuuko tells him that what's actually important is someone putting their full effort and heart in their role since the concept of main and side character is a subjective one in the end. Sean, touched by the words, is able to evolve Unseen to allow him to turn people he considers his friends invisible with him.
  • After Tella having awakened Untell and thinking his comrades were killed due to suddenly being unable to warn them, Billy is able to use his skills to locate Tella, who'd made his mouth bleed trying to speak. Billy then proceeds to calm Tella down before managing to communicate with him using his sense of touch.
  • Fuuko, in her desire to prevent the events of the previous loop, is fully willing to prevent Billy from becoming Unfair, even though that would deprive her of an exceptionally strong negator.
  • Nico has given up on escaping Disc because Unluck is causing it to follow him wherever he goes. Ichico becomes extremely angry at his refusal to follow orders to keep everyone safe and unintentionally saves him through her expertise of Astral Projection. After Nico's soul returns to his body, she tearfully hugs him in pure happiness of his survival.

Unfeel Arc

  • Fuuko demonstrates another key difference between her and Juiz. While Union members had somewhat of a say in how things operated, Juiz had the final say in various matters aside from when members did things on their own. Fuuko exercises that same authority, but goes to get different perspectives on matters she is unsure about. In preparation of the Phil rescue, she represents the negators, and gets the opinions from the mechanics (Nico) and an objective party (Billy) about the best for the team.
  • While everyone is determined to save Phil, it's Nico that is the angriest at a child being born as part of an experiment. To him, science is for the betterment of humanity, not whatever goals the New Feel experiment is about. Everyone seeing this reaction selects him for the team to go to the moon, even though he considers Ichico to be a better choice, because how much he cares.
  • One extra made during the arc has Sean bond with Phil over movies. When Sean asks the boy about his favorite films, Phil mentions that Dead Gang 1 is one of them and liked John Datz (Sean's late father) in it. And in context, Phil's putting Datz on par with Hollywood superstars Dustin Hoffman and Arnold Schwarzenegger in all time classics (Rain Man and Terminator 2: Judgment Day), despite said man having claimed he only had a minor role in the film. No wonder Sean was overwhelmed.

Tenraisai Arc

  • For all of Feng's bluster and threats, he does see Shen as his son. Unlike the previous loop, he actually admits this while it's implied he's not under Untruth.

Unmove Arc

  • Fuuko, who always wanted to properly experience high school life, is delighted that her mission to save Chikara allows her to infiltrate a high school as a student. Despite flubbing a lot, she tells Gina school is just as wonderful as she thought.
  • The Christmas extra, which takes place during the arc, has Fuuko roping Sean into helping her play Santa to some of the Union members.
    • Phil's gift request is for Sean and Fuuko to have some time off, which leaves both of them in happy tears. They gift Phil a coupon that allows him to have the both of them play with him whenever he wants.
    • Sean thinks that Gina would have asked for make-up or clothes, but her wish was actually for a copy of the out-of-print Dead Gang 1, although she claims to Sean that she asked for make-up from Santa. She suggests they can watch it together with Chikara and he can keep the copy afterwards since Sean wasn't able to get one. As they walk off, Sean reveals he requested a watercolor painting set for Christmas and Gina suggests she can teach him how to paint afterwards, indicating he requested it out of gratitude for Gina's gesture.

Sick Arc

  • Rip’s interactions with the children at Iseult Hospital are adorable and sweet. He even goes so far as to specially make medicinal candies for them, and assure them that none of their suffering is their fault.
  • Fuuko explains how she learned surgical techniques for a century as a fallback plan to save Leila.
  • Andy and Fuuko’s big reunion, despite the both of them being models of professionalism by not letting up from their current tasks in the fight for a second, clearly shows to everyone how in sync and devoted they’ve become to each other even before it’s demonstrated that their love has grown to the point that a passing high five of Unluck can bring down a comet!
  • The hospital staff showing up to keep the lights on during the battle against Sick.
  • Above all, the relationship and bond between Rip, Latla, and Leila is the emotional heart of this arc. Whether it be their reminiscent breather on the beach, Rip’s overly-dramatic reassurances and proposals, Latla refusing to let him shoulder things on his own by literally splitting Blade Runner, or Leila putting her own life on the line to attract Sick, the three constantly show unyielding conviction and devotion to each other and their mutual well-being, culminating in….
  • The Wedding Finale, where both Latla and Leila get married to Rip, because Negators are never ones to let the rules get in the way of their happy endings.
