While things do get out of hand in dire ways, there are still a good amount of moments that prove that the Multiverse isn't all nightmares.

  • While still in love with Christine, Strange nevertheless attends her wedding and assures her that he's happy for her, if only to make sure she isn't concerned with him on her wedding day.
    • Her husband is comparable to Dan in that he's very friendly, seemingly having been fine with his wife's ex coming to their wedding and also Squeeing with delight when he sees Doctor Strange in action.
  • Strange's bond with the Cloak of Levitation is as strong as ever. It helps him in the battle against Gargantos, helps him rescue America and he even immediately notices that there's a large gash in it, promising to fix it up as soon as he can. He's later delighted to be reunited with the cloak and is genuinely grateful to Christine (838) for patching it up for him.
  • It seems that for his contribution in defeating Thanos, Doctor Strange has become well known to the public as a superhero. This shows that everyone knows that the Avengers are not the only heroes on Earth, the Sokovia Accords be damned. He even has many fans such as Christine's husband, and a girl at the diner is seen taking his photos.
  • Wong is nothing but cordial toward America Chavez, politely asking for her name and offering to bring her to Kamar-Taj to protect her from those hunting her.
  • Strange tries to dissuade Wanda from her objective by reminding her that she made her children from magic. Wanda quickly claps back, "That's what every mother does."
  • The memory of Christine giving Strange the personalized watch. This is before Stephen's character development, and he's nothing short of grateful.
  • As Wanda possesses her Earth-838 counterpart, she sets out to find Chavez. However, she's stopped briefly by Billy and Tommy, who perform a childish song about ice cream. Wanda seems to forget all about her desire to find Chavez at that moment, simply delighted at the prospect of being able to physically be near her children.
  • Reed Richards (Earth-838) reveals that he has kids of his own, the mother of which is likely to be none other than Sue Storm.
    • This is part of an attempt to talk Wanda down, attempting to relate to her as a fellow parent. Even with everything he knows she's done, Reed doesn't want to try and kill her - or the innocent version of her she's possessing.
    • Richards (838) also takes Strange's (616) jab about being a "chart topper in the 60s" in stride, giving him a small, yet no less genuine smile.
  • In contrast to his fellow Illuminati members, Xavier allows Strange to prove that he is different that his Earth-838 counterpart, showing that regardless which Earth it is, Xavier is still an All-Loving Hero and a Reasonable Authority Figure. He even uses the very same quote his variant from Earth-10005 gave to his younger counterpart.
Professor X: Just because someone stumbles and loses their way, doesn't mean they are lost forever.
  • After Wanda 838 is released from her possession, what is the first thing she thinks about? Her sons. She immediately leaves the scene in order to return to them.
  • Strange manages to admit to Christine (838) that he remains in love with Christine, but that he understands that it's not meant to be, a step forward from how he was unable to admit the depth of his feelings at the movie's beginning. He also ends the movie by fixing the broken watch that was her gift to him, demonstrating that he's now able to move on.
Stephen: I love you. I love you, in every universe.
(Christine, while shaking her head, kindly looks on)
Christine: Yeah, yeah. (touches his face tenderly) Face your fears, Doctor Strange.
  • Wanda (Earth-838) shows compassion to Wanda (616) even after everything she put her through, telling Wanda (616) that Billy and Tommy will be well taken care of. This manages to get through to Wanda (616), who decides to atone for her actions by destroying the Darkhold in every universe.
  • Strange ends the movie having taken in America as a student at Kamar-Taj, and finally bows to Wong. Even better, it was more than just him upholding an ancient custom: it was him thanking a friend.
  • The movie's a huge Character Development for Stephen. Back in Infinity War, he was willing to sacrifice Tony and Peter to prevent Thanos from taking the Time Stone and only relents when he finds out there is no other way. Here, everyone has every reason to not trust him because of the things his Variants did and America even thought that he too would kill her at the end of the movie like Defender Strange to prevent Wanda from taking her powers. However, Stephen assures her that he is not going to and instead, telling her that she is in control of her power all the while, giving her the confidence to finally stand up against Wanda.
    • Strange reassuring Chavez that her mothers' possible deaths/disappearances weren't her fault. He also doesn't question it for a second when he sees that America has two mothers.
    • Stephen's relationship with America in general. In No Way Home, he finds Peter and, by extension Ned and MJ, annoying (even snarkingly says that he will not be having kids) but here, the moment he realizes America is in danger, he becomes unflinchingly protective over her and makes sure she is safe from Wanda at every turn. Even Christine (838) starts to warm up to him despite constantly comparing him to his 838-counterpart.
    • The moment where they first arrive in Earth-838. After Chavez confesses she can't control her power, Strange slips into a rant where he states that even he could control them, unintentionally bringing up the memory of Defender Strange. Upon seeing Chavez shrink back, he promptly apologizes.
    • A small moment occurs when America takes pizza balls from a vendor, thinking that the food is free there like it tends to be in other Universes. Pizza Poppa yells at her & Strange promptly defends her, saying that she's just a kid & was hungry. The altercation leaves Pizza Poppa hexed to punch himself in the face. America asks Strange if he'll stop in a few min. to which Strange replies he'll stop in three weeks giving an amused smirk as America laughs.
    • Following his escape from Mordo, Strange hurries back to America and Christine (838). A relieved America immediately runs up and pulls him into a big hug. Though a bit taken aback, Strange lightly returns her hug and pats her on the back.
    • After Strange and America are both captured, Mordo comes to take Strange to the Illuminati. Scarlet Witch hasn't made it yet but when Strange is lead away, he sterns tells Cristine (838) not to let anyone hurt America. As he passes by her containment chamber, he assures her she'll be ok.
    • When Christine (838) asks Strange why she should trust him, Chavez tells her that Strange (616) is not like the other Stevens. Strange replies that she is a "smart kid".
    • America telling Strange she is glad she fell into his universe after the bond they have formed, and Strange agreeing.
    • During the final battle with Scarlet Witch, Wong yells for Strange to take America's power. Though America comes to terms and tells Strange she understands, he reveals he never had any intention of doing so. Instead, he tells her to trust her power and reassures that she has more control than she realizes.
    • Fridge Heartwarming kicks in when you realize that part of this is due to his experiences with Peter in No Way Home. While the details may have been forgotten, the Character Development has not.
  • Even though Black Bolt did what he had to do to Supreme Strange, it's made very clear he did not enjoy it and that it hurt to kill a friend.
  • Though Peter Parker has been forgotten, this film makes it clear that Spider-Man and the important role he played amongst the Avengers has not been.
  • After WandaVision's heartbreaking finale, it's very comforting to know that in other universes, Billy and Tommy do exist, and are living happily with their mother. At least Wanda is able to be truly happy in other lifetimes. In addition, the scenes of 838-Wanda and her children stand as Heartwarming Moments by themselves by being nothing but sweet family bliss.
  • When Wanda brings up Westview, Strange replies, "but you put things right in the end, and that was never in doubt," showing that he trusts that Wanda, despite her flaws, can be counted on to do the right thing. Doubles as a Foreshadowing of what she does at the end of the film once she frees herself from the Darkhold's influence.
  • The Stinger marks the introduction of Clea, whom anyone familiar with the comics will know exactly why she's so important to the Marvel lore. While he lost Christine, with her now officially in the MCU, Strange won't be alone anymore.
  • How most of the major characters try and deal with Scarlet Witch. All of them understand that Wanda is a good person who is just dealing with a lot of emotional problems and she even expresses that she truly doesn't want to hurt anyone if she doesn't need to (except for America who she will kill to get her powers...). They also understand how much influence the Darkhold has on her and they try to destroy or get rid of the book, not Wanda herself.
    • Most of the fights mainly start because of Scarlet Witch while the opposing side does their best to reason with her first.
