As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

For a campaign DM'ed by Felix, the Fool's Gold campaign is not without its sweet moments.

  • The dance party in Episode 9. As Dingo so puts it, it was the one time where Sips and the group could hang out and do normal stuff. For once, Sips could be happy, at least up until Erina throws that Blood Moon Berry into his mouth.
  • Virtually any moment with Sips and Vicky.
    • The second half of episode 19 has Sips and Vicky bonding very nicely. Although Sips is still standoffish from his curse, after spending so much time in her village, he gets to a point where he can open up with Vicky about his condition.
    • Sips explains to Vicky the nature of his curse, telling her that if it consumes him, he "won't be [him]". Vicky bravely declares that if that were to happen, she would do everything she can to bring Sips back to who he was.
    • Sips finding common ground with Vicky when she learns she too is cursed, with lycanthropy. In a moving act of kindness, he calms down werewolf!Vicky by petting her head. He allows Vicky to cry into her arms until she falls asleep. (Also crosses into Tear Jerker territory.)
    • While also disturbing, Sips deciding he'll commit genocide on the Foreclaimers if it means keeping them from hurting Vicky shows how much he's grown to care for her.
    • Sips curing Vicky's werewolf curse. Grateful don't even begin to describe how happy Vicky is.
  • Jack assuring Gothi that perhaps her people have changed for the better, despite having previously been a race lacking empathy.
  • While debating with Vicky about whether or not it's right to pull off the genocide on the Foreclaimers, Sips points out that perhaps the Foreclaimers are a bit more complicated than being pure evil "bad guys". He figures that at most, it's only in their nature to have Lack of Empathy because they don't know any better. That's awfully thoughtful of Sips and speaks volumes of his personal growth.
  • The channel's new merchandise of Sips and Sneeze as plushies! Yay!
    • In a twisted, Nightmare Fuel way, Sips feeling relieved when his curse is at 60% and covering his other hand. Ironically, for all his anxiety and stress of trying to keep the curse at bay, Sips realizes he's happiest truly being a true Chaotic like he was meant to be.
    • And even though it may not bode well for Sips, something good comes out of it. When Sips casually decides to go full steam ahead with pulling off the Foreclaimers genocide, Xanu momentarily has a somewhat concerned look. Bear in mind, Xanu makes it his business to remain as coldly logical-minded as the Foreclaimers he so hates. Up until now, he's never given Sips an indication he cares for his well-being beyond being a vessel for his own soul. If he's looking at Sips all worried, there may be hope he's staring the path down Character Development.
  • Erina and Sneeze's Odd Friendship. Outside of Sips, Erina is by far the party member Sneeze is closest with, starting with their adventuring together after Sips leaves Sneeze behind, and continuing even after they reunite. When Sips offers to stay behind to close the portal, Erina is the first to object (notably, Sips was on board with leaving him behind at this point). Even when it's decided that he'll stay behind, Erina gives him a ring of communication to keep in touch, partially for practical reasons, but she also tells him that he's free to call and chat anytime he likes. Erina even seems to have picked up on how to understand Sneeze's silent glares, something previously only Sips was able to do.
  • Episode 28 has the group (sans Sips) start a friendship with the Empathic Foreclaimers Faction. Gothi almost instantly bonds over how she knows what it's like to be scorned by "normal" Foreclaimers for having empahty. Even though there's undertone of Sips being angst and refusing to "get attached" to the very people he swore to kill, it's sweet to see Gothi reconnect with her people for the first time in 3000 years.
    • Despite that she's their prisoner, Jack shows generosity and gives a pair of seeing-eye glasses to Masika when he suspects she's near-sighted. If Masika's confusion at Jack's generosity is any indication, the non-empathy Foreclaimers are strangers to spontaneous kindness. This makes it all the more sweet that Jack could potentially show Masika the importance of the very empathy her faction has shunned.
  • The very beginning of Episode 29 has Xanu sharply tell Sips to never call Gothi "too empathetic" ever again. He's probably heard her called that by the other foreclaimers before, and all things considered, he still cares about Gothi's honor enough that the very mention of saying she's "defective" makes him livid.
    • Jack's heart-to-heart with Mesika that her flaws don't make her "less", and that she can still have value despite her "defects". It doesn't take, but it's rather nice of Jack to try.
    • During her conversation with Emperor Godrick III, Gothi describes the immortality that allowed her to survive thousands of years as "a gift from a god". And when pressed to clarify which god, Gothi says "Xanu, who cared for me". Xanu/Sips looks away, but it was sweet of Gothi to express her gratitude towards Xanu.
    • The episode ending with Sips letting his guard down and trust Gothi to help him. Whether Gothi does the right thing, however, is up in the air...
  • Gothi successfully talks Xanu down from genocide.
    • After she wakes up, she has to tell Erina that to stop Xanu from going through with his plan, they have to topple a monarchy and destroy the infrastructure of an entire civilization. Erina is surprised for a moment, before smiling and cracking a joke.
Erina: Well don't threaten me with a good time.
  • Sips spends time with a personification of Elowen an Afterlife Antechamber after his second death, she's actually a representation of his deep subconscious and she lays out how he needs to stop hating himself and asks him if he has any good memories of his life, whilst most of them are bad he talks about the traits he values in his friends, going through them one by one. He admits he was pushing them away because he didn't feel it fair to make others deal with his curse, and the Elowen proxy tells him everyone needs help and it's nothing to be ashamed of and that everyone is carrying curses - if less literal than his, but also gifts. She hands him a rock, which is confuses him but then tells him it's a flower - and it cracks revealing a yellow glowing bloom that she says needs to be nurtured and asks him if he'd relive his life if he could. She then pushes him into stepping through the door into death. The party meanwhile surround his corpse and think he is truely dead, as it's become a rock like shell - until actual Elowen instructs them to hit it with a sledgehammer and when Erina does - inside is a baby monkey, Sips reborn anew.
    • Although it borders on funny, Erina and Gothi's reaction to the situation is rather sweet. If anything, it indicates that after everything this campaign has thrown at them, this surprise is a welcome one.
  • Practically all of Episode 32.
    • Erina and Gothi fussing over baby Sips.
      • When Gothi holds out a finger to the baby Sips, he firmly grabs it in his sleep.
    • Sips truly returning as an awakened monkey, with all his memories of his previous life. It looks as though Felix saw fit to give Dingo a second chance to play her character. And when Sips doubts he'll survive long, Gothi assures they'll keep him safe.
    • Sips' magic, instead of being blue, being yellow like the rock-flower Elowen gave him.
    • The warm relief on Sip's face when he learns the curse is gone for good.
Sips: Huh. (Smiles) It's really gone.
    • Sips and Sneeze's Big Damn Reunion.
    • Erina deciding to take on Xanu's magic to truly earn her title as a Magical Girl, if only to make up for her selfishness.
Erina: Being a magical girl has been great, but to be honest, I don't think I really know what it means to be one. Magical girls always talk about The Power of Love and friendship or hope. But recently, I notice I.. might not know what those things really mean. Always preaching, but.. never understanding. And I mean, don't get me wrong. I've gotten better since we got here, but... I'm still figuring it out. I wanna stop playing pretend, and earn my magic. My way.
    • Xanu (who hasn't touched another being in his life) remarking that Gothi's touch feels warm. She gently reciprocates that he too feels warm.
      • Gothi letting Xanu lean on her.
    • Once again, Elowen demonstrates her wisdom when she advises Xanu about what it means to heal another soul: less by manipulating and more by listening.
      • Generally, Xanu learning that Stella's Children consider him one of their own, since he's technically Stella's Son.
    • Erina and Sips having a moment when they apologize to one another for their respective wrongs. For that matter, Erina expressing empathy towards Sips for putting up with Xanu's cold, overbearing bossiness, given she just experienced that second hand.
