It's good you are giving Gargamel a "taste of his own medicine", but you're supposed to take it out of the bottle first.
As is the tradition with the other adaptations of The Smurfs, the 2021 show provides plenty of funny moments.

    Season 1
"Unsmurfable Smile"
  • When Grouchy refuses to go camping with him and several other Smurfs, Papa Smurf gives him an explicit order to go with them. Before he can say "I don't like orders", it cuts to Papa Smurf finishing what Grouchy was trying to say while the latter is being forcefully carried by Hefty.
  • Grouchy winds up as the butt of various mishaps. For example, he gets hit by a stork's droppings and winds up stepped on by a bear.
  • After putting Grouchy on a stretcher, Hefty says "You're safe with me". Practically immediately, he trips and they all ride their way to the bottom of the ravine.
  • Blossom, Smurfette and Hefty jumping on a board meant to catapult Grouchy to the top of the ravine, only for the board to snap and hit them in the face.
  • Papa Smurf ending off a story we don't get to hear with "And that's what Gargamel's bellybutton smells like". Whether this is a Noodle Incident or made-up is unknown, but the lack of detail really makes you think what funny shenanigans the Smurfs got up to for them to learn that information.
"The Majestic 5"
  • When they can't handpick the 5 best Smurfs, the village decides to hold a ballot instead and have the members picked at random. This backfires spectacularly: Papa Smurf, to his shock, ends up picking Dimwitty, Clumsy, Lazy, Scaredy, and Baby. Yes, someone actually voted for Baby Smurf.
  • After Scaredy and Clumsy drop off alongside the wagons they detached from their Smurf-mobile (which is currently being driven by Gargamel), Dimwitty is the only Smurf left that can detach the last wagon as Lazy is asleep and Baby is, well, a baby. Dimwitty, being The Ditz, has no idea how to do that. So what's his solution to the problem? He goes to ask Gargamel.
"Smurfy Secrets"
  • Though the ploy is shortlived, Gargamel successfully disguises as Brainy Smurf but can't quite get the hang of it. Most notably, his arms dangle forward as if preparing to strike, even as a Smurf - clearly a force of habit since he normally spends most of the time hunting and doesn't really realize he's the prey animal now, not the predator.
    • When he and Smurfstorm meet up, "Brainy" tries to head in a direction that he thinks leads to Smurf Village, only for Storm to correct him. He tries to cover it up with an excuse that he got confused.
    • The villagers, thinking it's the real Brainy, try to squeeze Brainy's secret out of Gargamel. He decides to tell everyone his secret that he's not really Brainy, but no one buys it.
    • The transformation doesn't cover the voice part, so Gargamel retains his own voice and has to imitate Brainy's. Just to highlight what he thinks of Brainy (in this case, an annoying nerd), his idea of what this Smurf sounds like is that his voice is nasal and obnoxious.
  • The Smurf speak makes for some really funny-sounding secrets the Smurfs give to Storm and Brainy for safekeeping, sounding a whole lot like Unusual Euphemisms.
Handy Smurf: I have a freckle on my smurf.
Generic Smurf 1: I have no smurf.
Smurfette: My feet are a little smurfy.
Generic Smurf 2: I really love Smurfs.
Papa Smurf: Sarsaparilla makes me smurf.
Jokey Smurf: Sometimes, I go smurf in Farmer's field.
"Cover Story"
  • As it turns out, Gargamel has a hilariously crippling fear of spiders. When he sees one, he freaks out so much that he ends up thrashing his entire home and knocking out both Mummy and himself trying to whack it with a broom.
  • Reporter Smurf gets an opportunity to learn more about Gargamel, and so asks him some questions about himself and gets a variety of answers. For the most part, Gargamel is rather brutally honest and reveals amusingly fucked-up details about himself.
  • Several Smurfs head off to attend Gargamel's "wedding" (really a trap), where they see his "bride" (who is, you guessed it, Gargamel in disguise). The Smurfs comment on how even from the back, the bride looks ugly. And when he laughs, they also comment on that being ugly. And to top it off, Gargamel screams out this:
Gargamel: Who wants to kiss the briiiideeee?!?
"The Smurfs Show"
  • As Mummy and Gargamel are watching the "show" the Smurfs are secretly putting up for them, the former at one point tells her son to pause it because she has to go to the bathroom.
  • Gargamel comes back to keep watching after a bathroom break, prompting Mummy to ask him if he washed his hands. He annoyedly replies "Yes, Mummy"... and then rubs his hands under his armpits, indicating his answer was a Blatant Lie (and that his hygiene is horrendous).
"Papa Times Two"
  • Generic Smurf abusing his Papa Smurf disguise by giving random orders, such as telling Chef to make eggplant parmesan pie instead of raspberry muffins. The kicker is the real Papa coming and telling him he should be making the muffins, exasperating Chef. Then the fake one comes back and orders him to make the pie. This goes back and forth until Chef, sick and tired of the conflicting orders, faints.
  • Gargamel captures Papa Smurf, the latter of which was given a potion in an attempt to undo a non-existing spell (Brainy believed him to be bewitched). Said potion made him hyper. As a result, he confuses the wizard and causes a lot of trouble for him.
    • After a brief Shell Game, Gargamel finds Papa Smurf popping out of his ears and nose and tries to catch him, only to fall over on his back while covering his mouth. Then it leads to an incredibly awkward moment where he suddenly makes a face of surprise... and Papa is seen casually walking out from underneath his clothes.
    Season 2
"Mommy's Masterpiece"
  • Painter tells Mummy, his model, to smile. She certainly tries. The keyword here being "tries" — her resulting "smile" is hilariously hideous.
    • When this fails, Painter attempts to put together her smile himself. But she can't hold that kind of smile, causing her face to relax and turn into a frown.
Painter Smurf: Forget it. Why don't you choose your own pose?
  • Mummy trying to find a new pose. None of them work — one, for example, is her trying to assume the "draw me like one of your French girls" position — but when she goes back to sitting, Painter loves that one.
  • Mummy freezes Gargamel when the latter instinctively goes after Painter Smurf. Initially he doesn't care (though he is a bit bothered), at least until he's told he'll eventually have to use the bathroom which compels him to agree to her terms.
Gargamel: You. Are. A. Monster. Mummy.
    Mummy: Thank you, dear.
  • Papa Smurf and Smurfette come to rescue Painter, and because they're not "protected" by Mummy, Gargamel locks them both in a cage and then immediately tries to Swallow the Key. Mummy, however, wants the two Smurfs freed and so grabs Gargamel and starts shaking him upside down so he would spit the key back out.
Smurfette: She really is a terrible mother.
Papa Smurf: All things considered, Gargamel turned out rather well.
  • In the end, Painter paints a picture of Gargamel kicking his mother. A chase between the two ensues, with Gargamel smiling the entire time (but stops once he's hit on the head with the canvas), implying he enjoys seeing her so annoyed.
  • The part where Gargamel and Azrael leave the corner Mummy sent them to. The very moment she dozes off, the two make a mad dash towards Painter with each one trying to claim him for himself.
    • While Gargamel is accusing his cat of cheating when the latter gets Painter, his mother whacks him on the head with a frying pan. She then forces Azrael to spit Painter out and throws him out the window before sending her son back to the corner.
"Gargamel Goes Gaga"
  • Gargamel trips, hits a tree and ends up near Leaf, who sees the snack he dropped. She immediately goes in to grab it - it's on the ground by the way - but Gargamel swoops in before she can even touch it and then proceeds to eat it in front of her, glaring at her the entire time.
  • After getting entranced, Gargamel becomes an Abhorrent Admirer of hilarious proportions towards Leaf. Nothing stops him from trying to get to her.
    • Leaf tries multiple times to turn him into an animal in a bid to ward him off. He literally doesn't care, to the point that he clings to her leg when he's turned into a snake.
    • Gargamel going to ridiculous lengths to satisfy Leaf's "wishes". He's even perfectly willing to count the earthworms for her, digging his head into the ground just to make her happy.
    • When Leaf presents herself to Gargamel in a dirty state, it doesn't just fail to drive him away; he's exhilarated when he smells her bad breath and decides she's absolutely perfect for him before abducting her to introduce her to Mummy.
    • Not even his mother can stop him. When Leaf runs out of the hovel and Mummy closes the door on Gargamel when he attempts to follow, he responds by dumping a wooden pail on her head!
  • The part where Gargamel tries to make Leaf drink the Love Potion, prompting her to slap it away with such force that she jams the vial into his mouth. The face he makes in the process is even more hilarious as his pupils shrink and go opposite ways.
"Relaxosmurf""The Wrench Smurf"
  • Diaper Daddy is tricked by Gargamel into thinking that him capturing the Smurfs in the village is a "game" and that everyone is "pretending" to be scared and get caught. Handy, naturally, asks him what he's doing and tells him Gargamel is a bad guy. Drawing what he learned from a prior context, Diaper Daddy immediately responds with something hilariously specific (if also sort of morbid):
Diaper Daddy: He doesn't eat people.
  • As Diaper Daddy and Gargamel walk through the forest, the former repeatedly asks the latter about what something is. Among all else, he points to multiple trees and Gargamel has to clarify each time which he isn't too happy about.
"Leaf's Under The Weather"
  • Gargamel trying to pass himself off as the country doctor "Marmagel". When asked about what he specializes in, he accidentally blurts out "curses" before quickly realizing what he just said and changing it to "diseases".
  • At the point where Gargamel drops his guise, he threatens Doctor Smurf. What makes his threat funny is that it's an otherwise graphic/violent remark that immediately takes a bizarre turn into Crosses the Line Twice territory.
"Marmagel": I'm going to rip your brains out and give it to that stuck-up fairy as medicine, you dirty little gnome!
  • As it turns out, Doctor Smurf isn't that good at his profession. For instance, one of his deductions is that Leaf is afflicted by tooth decay (despite her condition clearly indicating a disease similar to a cold or flu) and brings out a saw to take care of it.
"House Call"
  • Doctor Smurf's practices, as in "Leaf's Under The Weather", are odd to say the least.
    • Doc tries to measure Gargamel's heart by... checking his tongue.
Brainy Smurf: Are you sure that's how you smurf a pulse?
    • As part of one of his procedures, Doc plays around with Gargamel's toes. This causes his eyes to open and close repeatedly. But when Doc clicks the toes back in place? He passes gas instead, to an offscreen Smurf's dismay.
  • For most of the episode, Gargamel is dreadfully sick. The reason for his sickness? He was eating popcorn and, like the oaf he is, absentmindedly ate an inedible mushroom instead, located near the popcorn for some reason.
