Logen (the man who fell off the cliff): Very wise. - When the rest of the band finds a pack of Shanka, Threetrees emphasizes to Black Dow, specifically, that he should only attack after the signal."It wasn’t ’til the Dogman was hid behind a bush with his bow in his hand and a shaft at the ready that he realised. He’d no idea what the signal was... Had anyone said the signal? He couldn’t remember.
‘Shit,’ he whispered, and just then Dow came hurtling out from the trees, axe in one hand, sword in the other.
‘Fucking Flatheads!’ he screamed... Dogman reckoned that would have to do for a signal.
The Age of Madness:
- Towards the end of The Wisdom of Crowds, Rikke seems to have grown tired of Isern constantly telling her that "you must make of your heart a stone."Isern: You need to think about this, Rikke. Just don't be thinking with your quim.Rikke: Yes, yes, make of your quim a stone.
