WARNING: Per wiki policy, spoilers are off on Funny pages.

General

  • The constant Hand Wave given to literally everything. The very game starts off handwaving the fact that all characters are in high school and are in their 20s because their educational system works in mysterious ways.
  • The quiz taken at the start of the game, and the narration over it.
We're using our PhD in bullshit to diagnose which kind of deviant sicko you are!

The Quiz

School Events

  • Going into the classroom will lampshade the fact that this is a school and you should be studying rather than getting into hijinks.
  • If you go into the bathroom, then you can give +0 SHITS and get +2 BOLDNESS for being a badass that wants to watch the world burn by cutting classes.
  • Befriending the serious, snarky teacher that treats you as an adult will get you praised for doing cliched movie tropes. And +1 VALUABLE LIFE INSIGHT to help you face the difficulties of youth.

Character Events

  • Vera suggesting to Scott to start using poison darts and psychological warfare to win more games.
    • You will gain boldness by suggesting a literal truck to join their team to run over their opponents.
  • During an event with the slayer:
Damien: I never felt so alive!
    Liam: Offensive!
  • Scott becoming the leader of a group of furries. Which he keep thinking are friendly wood creatures.
  • You can give an idea to Vera and Scott about a show regarding a drug dealer, and she'll give you promotional cocaine to spread the news.
  • Vera saying she and Miranda need to talk about feminism when the latter says she wants to find her Prince Charming in the literal sense, and being willing to eat a poisoned apple.
Vera: Tell her she doesn't need to poison herself with an apple for the sake of a man.
  • Vera says she will call you later for a favor in an event with Liam.
Narrator: You hope those favors are sexual in nature!
  • Liam and Vera debating Hentai. Especially in regards to the meta humor and the theory that tentacle porn comes from the krakens that rule over studios.
  • In one event while you're sleeping, Damien and Polly will show up, though you'll complain that they aren't naked like they usually are in your dreams.
  • Polly's strategy to distract a teacher is called "Party Hurricane", which includes house fires and striptease.
  • When Liam mentions that a time machine would end up being just a clock taped to a toaster, the player thinks it's a genius idea and writes in their million bucks notebook.
  • When the coven calls the player and Vera horrible people, even the Narrator has to agree.
  • In an event, you can break into the Coven's house to steal an item, which you find in a box of sex toys, which nature you try to immediately forget.
  • During one lunch event, Polly and Damien are plotting to start a food fight in the cafeteria. Either you suggest that they horde all the food, causing everyone to fight over the hoarded resources, or you suggest that Polly can just flash the cafeteria and let them fight over her (with Damien giving a shout of "TO THE VICTOR GOES THE SPOILS!").
    • When Polly strips, the narrator notes "Her tits launched a thousand chips"
  • In Damien's Stylist route, at one point, he will tell the player that he's been plateauing in his development as a beautician, and ask them how he may be able to motivate himself to start improving again. The player can suggest that he watch someone he loves die or almost die and be fueled by his anger and grief. If they pass the stat check, Liam agrees that it's a great idea... and then immediately draws a gun out of nowhere and shoots the player in the leg.
  • Vera and Scott's Who's on First? event during lunch, wherein Scott repeatedly fails to understand Vera's answer to his question re: what she's drinking - it's scotch.
    Scott: [Wall-eyed.] It's mine?
  • One potential cafeteria event with the Interdimensional Prince involves him granting the player either the power of telepathy or "an ass that won't quit". If they select the latter, he bestows it on them "with a wave of his magic wang".
  • In one cafeteria event Polly accuses the Coven of being her, Vera's and Miranda's Evil Twins. Guess who the Coven ended up disguised as during the Halloween event...
  • There's one end-of-round event on a vanilla Scott route where, if the player fails the stat check on an option to suggest that they and Scott cheer for friendship together, Scott misinterprets them and point-blank says that he feels romantically towards them - but that he understands friendship is important as well and that he's also really happy to be friends. It's very clear he means it, and is even enthusiastic to keep bonding with the player as friends! ...To the point where he perkily says things like that he may as well return the edible underwear he bought for them while they're out bonding together. Scott's upbeat and sweet earnestness while accidentally rubbing it in and the sheer irony of the situation are hilarious.
Narrator: If he says "friends" one more time, you'll literally rip your own heart out and eat it.
  • Added with the F*ckin Hot update, Damien's Punch the Sun route and ending in its entirety is this.
    • In the route's second event, Damien needs to get a rocket, and the player can tell him that the school owns one. In response to this, Damien asks if they'll let him use it while remarking that he's not allowed to get away with most things, leading to this gem of a line.
Damien: When I burn down the library, it's "disrespectful", but when I masturbate in it, THAT'S disrespectful, too?!

Multiplayer Weekend Events

  • In one of the weekend events available on a multiplayer round, one of the players will be out partying with the love interests one night... only for the group to find themselves accosted by a strange drunk wizard named "Joe the Laser" who wants to teach them how to dance to LMFAO and his laser magic. If they choose their roundmate with the optimal stats to impress him, Joe "reveals" he was "secretly" a wizard (Vera is quick to point out that he said that he was right out of the gate) and was looking for worthy people to pass his magic onto, seemingly dies when he disappears in an alcohol-scented puff of smoke, and appears in the clouds a la Mufasa.
  • If one player in a group is romancing Liam, he can approach one of their friends for dating advice... by mysteriously appearing in their shower and opening the conversation by commenting that the last time they hung out, he noticed them looking over his collection of bottlecap sex toys. He gives no explanation for why he chose this bizarre approach.
  • If a player is romancing Scott, he can approach another player for help explaining that he really likes whoever's designated him as their love interest... but also really likes... a completely normal (but, apparently, perfectly-sized and perfectly-bumpy!) pickle he's come into possession of. The player who gets the scene can flatly explain to Scott that it's perfectly okay for him to make out with their friend while also having a pickle. Scott is happy to be able to reconcile the information that having a partner doesn't mean he has to eat the pickle if he doesn't want to while the Narrator dishes out his usual dry snark.
  • One weekend involves its selected player going out clubbing with Vera, Polly, and Liam, and needing to charm a bouncer into letting them in for free when Polly sadly reveals that while she'd normally try to do it herself, she once had sex with that bouncer but shapeshifted into his dead mother partway through as a joke, and so she doesn't think he likes her anymore.

Second Term DLC

  • Added with the Second Term DLC: in one event, Dmitri tries to get Polly, Scott, and Zoe to join The Dark Side. One of the options for stopping him? An impromptu round of "Wannabe"!
  • If you're on a Zoe route in Second Term and the Prince turns up to pursue her, you can choose to distract him from his goal by proposing the three of you have a trampoline-jumping competition together. The Prince winds up jumping so high... that he's grabbed out of the air mid-jump by a giant hawk. Which flies off and then promptly gets caught in a jet turbine.
  • When Zoe is curious about how Polly's ghost powers work, the play can suggest throwing stuff at her.....for SCIENCE! It turns out that her powers don't have any logic to this. Zoe and the player then play a game of "throw stuff at Polly," to which the Narrator remarks that there is no logic in the game.
  • In an event where the Coven encounter Dmitri, the player can suggest they lick his abs.....because reasons.

Item Events

  • The Cult Ring:
    • Literally everyone being a part of the cult, which Liam thought to be extremely exclusive and he keeps being surprised by realizing he is doing something mainstream.
    • Damien has about 11 rings, one that he is using as a nipple piercing.
    • Vera turns out to be the Cult Leader, which she created to make profit. When you try to reveal her to Liam, she goes away with Suspiciously Specific Denial and then raises your cult fee for being a snitch.
  • The Dragon Heat novel:
    • One of the characters is called Vaneseria Vulva.
    • You can say your favorite character is a stableboy who sells dragon dildos. By doing it, Vera starts a business of selling rebranded dragon dongs.
    • Getting a triple date with both Miranda and Damien has the narration saying you've thought about romance more than studies, therefore you can be romantic by giving Miranda chocolates and flowers and giving Damien gasoline and matches.
  • Ghost Sheet:
    • Everybody ignoring Liam saying that you are just wearing a white sheet, not a ghost.
    • When Miranda and Scott approach you asking you to show off your "ghost powers", you can choose to levitate your phone in front of them. Which is, in fact, just you holding it in your hands and waving it around in the air. When an exasperated Liam points out to Miri and Scott that that's what you're doing and that they could easily just wave their phones around with their hands, too, they do so... and realize with astonishment that you must be sharing your ghost powers with them! The three of you collectively proceed to just stand there waving your phones around, Miranda and Scott utterly mesmerized.
    • Damien thinking that it would be metal to cut holes in his face.
    • Polly turns up late in the route, and turns out to be just as excited as everyone else (bar Liam) to believe that you're an actual ghost. When she gets irritated with Liam for pointing out how obviously you're lying about the method of death you choose to try to impress her with, the narrator unceremoniously states that you start dancing out of nowhere to defuse the tension. (Un-shockingly, Polly is successfully distracted by this, and joins you.)
  • The Totem:
  • The Shitter:
    • If you chose to "get into the mind of the Shitter" and pass the stat check, the Narrator will at one point be so disgusted with the resulting scenenote  that he tells you he refuses to describe it, calls you "every narrator's worst nightmare," and just skips to the aftermath. Although the player does get a description all the while of Damien standing by during the whole thing, awkwardly trying to make small talk with the extremely-confused woman giving birth.
Damien: So... having a baby, huh? I can relate. I mean, I was once a baby, you know. What about you; did you use to be a baby, too?

The Store

  • The school store actually sells you a PR consultant.
  • A spicy novel can be purchased there. Valerie (the storeowner) will tell you she got into dragon abs due to reading it.

Endings

  • Nobody lets you down easy. In fact, if they don't want to, they'll make the fact known.
  • One of the endings of being dumped includes you fighting for the right to marry your own hand, since that's your last chance at love.
  • If you get to go to prom with Polly, you don't actually get to Prom, you get high in a lot of drugs, think you are in Prom until you sober up and realize you are in the middle of the desert.
  • If you go to Prom with Damien, you will run the limousine through the wall.
  • If you get the Ghost Sheet and use it successfully enough times during the game, and choose to go to prom alone... you'll go to prom wearing the ghost sheet. Which is a secret ending (and somehow better than just going alone normally). Even the narration lampshades the absurdity.

Monster Camp

  • In the credits, one of the scenes has campers getting into fights at the Dome, all while Oz desperately tries to complete the sack race by himself.
  • Dahlia shows her cool head under fire and complete lack of understanding of how gases work:
Dahlia: Knockout gas! Quick, breathe it all into your lungs before it can surround us!
  • Calculester summons the Morally Perfect Person and it has to be seen to be believed.
The morally ideal person rises from the dirt. Their eyes glow with golden light. They have big titties and a huge wiener.
  • Three Words: Sexy Bee Costumes.
  • One of the possible storylines with Joy is dealing with her exes. The first two are clearly supervillains and/or evil god(desse)s. The third? Gerard the Necromancer. Who is really just Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance. Who keeps talking in lyrics. And you can help him get laid!
  • The end of Dahlia's Genie Flask route is surprisingly serious by Monster Prom standards, but it starts when Milo of all people is defeated by... a random cat Camp Rival Camp found that got more Instagram followers than them. They're even seen lying in a crater in the Dead Yamcha pose!

Monster Roadtrip

  • While stopping at a Wig Museum, the player, Polly and Scott get wrapped up in a kid's tour competing with a child named Billy for gold stars. When the tour ends in a draw, the player has the options of either framing Billy for drug use or bribing him with a driver's license. Keep in mind Billy is a toddler.
    • The latter option will cut to New York some time later where a pregnant monster couple gets into a cab. Driven by Billy.
      • The city keeps sending Billy letters to stop. Too bad he can’t read.
  • The MVP Ending for Veranotone has your PC performing at the concert venue themselves. Glitch, being the resident Troll, decides to take it up a notch:
You sneak onstage during a concert and regale the audience with your favorite instrument: nails on a chalkboard. You do this for a good two hours.
  • One of Noodles's lines upon visiting his bartering stand is a cheerful "FUCK paper money!"
  • Every hitchhiker has a special ability that alters some aspect of the game. Brian's special mechanic... Replaces the in-game music with a song called "Brian the Zombie."
  • While the End of the Road event is a lot more dramatic and scary compared to the rest of the game, it still has its funny moments:
    • While most of the location events are glitched into more horrific versions of themselves, The Dinest event boils down to two of the game devs troubleshooting the Arguing couple encounter, and try replacing the cultist husband with a minor recurring character. After trying Norah, Cormac S. Thompson, and the carrot animatronic from Simon Soups, you can choose to have them try the cultist but he's a bear in disguise, or just Liam. Either way, the devs regret the idea and just go back to the cultist husband regardless.
