  • Acting for Two: Several of the voice actors double up.
    • Cryaotic originally voiced both Liam and Oz.
      • After the team cut ties with Cryaotic, Liam and Oz's voice lines were re-recorded by Octopimp, who also voices the Narrator and, for Monster Camp, Moss Mann and Noodles.
    • Cristina Vee voices both Joy and Vera, as well as the former for Monster Camp.
    • SungWon Cho voices Brian and the Interdimensional Prince.
    • Sarah Williams voices Polly and Vicky.
    • Amira, Faith, and Evil Faith are all voiced by Danielle McRae.
    • Anna "Brizzy Voices" Brisbin voices Bellanda and Dahlia in Second Term, as well as the latter for Monster Camp.
    • Jesse Cox voices Blobert and the members of the Wolfpack.
    • JackSepticEye voices Mr. Pheel the Eel and Calculester in Second Term. as well as the latter for Monster Camp.
    • Ross O'Donovan voices Tate and Leonard in Second Term.
    • Casey Mongillo voices Zoe in Second Term, and both Milo and Hex in Monster Camp.
    • Ciarán Strange voices Sawyer in Monster Camp and reprises the role while also playing Hazel in Monster Roadtrip.
  • Creator's Favorite: Casey Mongillo has stated in Twitter that Zoe has been one of their absolute favorite roles that they've voiced.
  • Development Gag: One of the devs on the official Discord addressed that Grace was originally considered a name for one of the Coven before being dismissed since unlike the other three, Grace "is more tied to something someone has not by own volition". Come Second Term, Hope's secret route reveals that a witch named Grace was, indeed, a previous member of the Coven.
  • Line to God: The creators of the game are all members of the official Monster Prom Discord Server, and Mihail/Julián very often interacts with the fans there, mentioning some things about the production, fanart, etc. Similarly, the server also has a troubleshooting channel dedicated to telling the creators about issues and bugs to be fixed in the game.
  • He Also Did: Many members of the voice cast are also prominent YouTubers:
    • Cryaotic voiced Oz and Liam prior to them getting recasted in 2020.
    • Brooke Thorne, better known as Dodger and/or Press Heart To Continue, voices the Slayer.
    • Arin Hanson and Dan Avidan of the Game Grumps voice Scott and Fellow Student respectively. There are other performances by regular Game Grumps collaborators/former members in the game: Suzy Berhow voices Norah, while Ross O'Donovan gets two roles: Tate and Leonard.
    • SungWon Cho voices Brian and the Interdimensional Prince. He also provided the voice of Principal Giant Spider for a promotional video.
    • Sean McLoughlin, also known as JackSepticEye, voices Mr. Pheel and the Second Term form of Calculester.
    • Nathan Sharp, who voices Damien, is also a voice actor on Funimation and a well-known musician under the stage name "NateWantsToBattle".
    • Anna Brisbin, also known as voice impressionist Brizzy Voices on YouTube, who voices Bellanda and Dahlia in the Second Term DLC, as well as the latter for Monster Camp, also does her podcast "Fantastic Geeks and Where to Find Them" with her friend Tessa Netting and also does voice acting on other games as well, most recently Viola in Bayonetta 3.
    • Alexander Gross, a.k.a. Let's Play creator and streamer Octopimp, voices the Narrator and, later, took over the roles of Oz and Liam as well.
    • Executive producer Jesse Cox is himself a well-known YouTuber, and voices both Blobert and sundry members of the Wolf Pack.
  • Production Posse: Due to the executive producers of both games being friends and regular collaborators, a number of voice actors from Dream Daddy also appear in Monster Prom:
    • Arin Hanson (Joseph in Dream Daddy, Scott in Monster Prom).
    • Nathan Sharp (Craig in Dream Daddy, Damien in Monster Prom).
    • Erika Ishii (Amanda in Dream Daddy, Valerie in Monster Prom).
    • Dan Avidan (Robert in Dream Daddy, Fellow Student in Monster Prom: Second Term).
    • Suzy Berhow (Val in Dream Daddy, Norah in Monster Prom: Second Term).
  • Promoted Fanboy: Monster Prom fanartist Viiperfish was brought onboard to join the crew of Monster Camp and would end up being the one to design Milo Belladonna.
  • Queer Character, Queer Actor: Many of the series' VOs are members of the LGBTQ+ community and almost every character is bi/pan, but most notably is that all trans and non-binary characters are played by trans and non-binary actors. Casey Mongillo, who is non-binary, voices trans woman Zoe and non-binary characters Milo and Hex; while Ciarán Strange, who is trans, voices non-binary characters Sawyer and Hazel.
  • Real Song Theme Tune: The game's OST is from the Messer Chups' album "The Incredible Crocotiger", from 2015. The ending theme is a 2011 song by Mike Krol, "Fifteen Minutes", which had also already been used by Steven Universe, where it was also a credits theme. With the "Thank You" update on April 28, 2020, however, it has been replaced with an original soundtrack by Claudi Martinez, in order to avoid future content creators and collaborators being Screwed by the Lawyers due to the music.
  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Cryaotic's roles as the voices of Liam and Oz for any and all future Monster Prom games were recasted and the team cut all ties with him after he admitted to engaging in sexual encounters online with underage fans while he was dating his now-ex girlfriend.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: In the Monster Camp demo, there's a character named Samuel Charles Peterson, who is a direct reference to the SCP Foundation. However, SCP is licensed under creative commons and likenesses of its characters cannot be used for commercial purposes; therefore, unlike the other demo characters, there is absolutely no chance of Samuel appearing in the full release. The developers are aware of this, but still wanted to give the series a shout-out in their free preview.
  • Shown Their Work: Julián has mentioned on the official Discord that a lot of the mentions of fanfiction and things like that were actually researched, including using a very big research on fanfiction as reference (which included most common AUs, most despised tropes, etc.)
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Word of God states that the "Dragon Heat" storyline was meant to fit references to Omegaverses AUs, but couldn't make it work, since it would mean also explaining Omegaverse, which is rather complex and full of variants and that would turn the event in an Info Dump.
    • SCP-173 was originally intended to be included in Monster Prom 2; however, due to its rather unique copyright statusnote  it will only be in the demo and won't feature in the final game.
  • Word of God:
    • Oz is meant to be the Anthropomorphic Personification of fear, and the little black beings that sprout from him are phobias.
    • While Amira is clearly associated with fire, it was explicitly revealed along with her last name reveal that she is a djinni.
    • The main character's last names are not the color names. In the official twitter, it was confirmed that Oz has no last name, Vicky's last name is Schmidt, Amira's last name is Rashid, and Brian's last name is Yu.
