Forced Transformations in Fan Works.

Crossovers
  • Adopted Displaced: Captain Black accidentally turns himself into a frog while experimenting with chi spells.
  • The Blue Blur of Termina: Sonic the Hedgehog is transformed into a Deku Scrub by the Skull Kid.
  • Child of the Storm has Nimue demonstrate a penchant towards this in Unfinished Business, turning people into animals, as well as monsters, plants, and plant-monsters, for reasons varying from 'convenient way to empower Elite Mooks' to 'petty revenge' to 'for her own amusement'. This is used to demonstrate her power and the fact that she's an easily bored sociopath.
  • Cross Cases: Doctor Patterson is a budding warlock with an unfortunate tendency to transform his enemies and sometimes allies into frogs or toads once they've seen something they shouldn't have, or simply outlived their usefulness. Unfortunately, that includes Dean, Charlie, Castiel, and Crowley.
  • Dungeon Keeper Ami: There are multiple methods to achieve this trope:
    • Dungeon Hearts come with a spell to turn people into chickens, which has been used multiple times.
    • In "Convoluted Rescue Plan, Go!", Ami has made pills that turn people into "baby mice".
    • As seen in "Trapped, Part 1", Ami's Mercury energy mixed with Metallian energy, chaos magic, and Dungeon Heart Corruption, turns people into "monsters".
  • The God Empress of Ponykind: Tzeentch does this to The Emperor, combined with Gender Bender, at the end of their fight. The Emperor/Princess Celestia is pissed off at first, but gets used to it after a few years.
  • An Impractical Guide to Godhood: Two of Jackson's companions in his first quest are turned into a crocodile and a donkey. Neither is happy about it, especially because one of the transformations is permanent.
  • Invasion of Falls: During the Sumerween arc, a magical amulet changes all the core characters (and Wendy's friends) into various monsters. Zim and GIR, meanwhile, are turned into humans.
  • Lulu's Bizarre Rebellion: Lena's stand Children Of The Night turns its targets into movie monsters, which then rampage their way back to her. Because she can give it contingent instructions, she can use this to take people's loved ones hostage to their obedience to her, which is how she recruits Shirley's father.
  • My Little Pirates: Luffy's Adventures in Equestria: Every human character who travels to Equestria will be turned into a pony, unable to recover their original form until they get out of Equestria's borders. Ponies are not affected when they visit the Grand Line, though.
  • Neither a Bird nor a Plane, it's Deku!: Mister Mxyzptlk makes himself known by turning Inko Midoriya into a dog after she gets annoyed by the obnoxious sounding trumpet snake he created. She doesn't remember a second of it after Mxyzptlk is banished back to the Fifth Dimension, and Izuku intends to keep it that way.
  • A New World, A New Way: This trope is one of the key aspects of the narrative and its sidestories. Arceus moves a vast majority of the Pokémon and a handful of humans to Equis, and turns the selected humans into Pokémon. Some of the humans don't mind the change, though.
  • A Shadow of the Titans: A mysterious being (called "The Cackler", according to Word of God) transforms Jade back into her Shadowkhan form and sends her to the TT world (though her morality is unchanged this time round). Later, Mumbo turns Jade into a monkey.

Amphibia

Assassin's Creed

  • In Unintended Consequences, Conner and Haytham find themselves being increasingly controlled by their inner animals, including starting to transform into those forms against their will.

Calvin and Hobbes

The DCU

  • Hellsister Trilogy: The Eye of Ekron disables a guard by transforming him into a lizard.
Some of the men threw themselves in the villains' path as they advanced into the building. A lucky few were shoved out of the way. The Empress's eye turned another into a lizard.

Disney Animated Canon

Dungeons & Dragons

  • Vow of Nudity: When Haara's mother breaks out of prison, one of the jailbreak members is a mage who’s been turned into a cat.

Ever After High

  • Girlfrenemies: Raven's Black Magic goes wrong and she turns her friends into various types of dogs. It takes a few tries to fix because she's so stressed.
  • Poisoning Apple:
    • When Apple torments Rotbart with her singing, he accidentally turns her into a swan to get to stop. Rotbart, Raven and Sparrow have to rush to change her back before anyone finds out.
    • Rotbart traps himself in owl form when he was too injured from a monster attack. He stays in his form when Apple rescues him and has to have Raven bail him out when Apple tried keeping him.

Geometry Dash

  • MasterGame: The player-character captain is transformed into a green square after the final boss steals their appearance. This isn't made clear to the player until they reunite with a crew member, who is hesitant to trust them as they look completely different.

Godzilla/Monsterverse

  • Abraxas (Hrodvitnon): Vivienne Graham is revived and kept alive by San (Ghidorah's severed left head) while transforming her into a two-headed human-Ghidorah chimera Titan before she regains consciousness. The Baleful part probably wasn't helped by the duo's initial Came Back Wrong form putting them in a constant state of pain for months. After they've gotten better, Vivienne accepts that she physically isn't human anymore, but she still needs to hold on to her humanity.

Harry Potter

  • Harry Potter and the Black Family Legacy: An apprentice of Merlin was turned into the Sorting Hat as punishment after stealing something precious from Merlin.
  • Knowledge is Power: Voldemort gets turned into a squirrel. Yes, a squirrel.
  • A Snake Named Voldemort has Voldemort himself, courtesy of a potion Snape slipped into his tea, and later Bellatrix, courtesy of Voldemort. Downplayed in the latter example, since she doesn't remember being human while she's in her snake form and doesn't remember being a snake when she's human.
  • Wooing the Reluctant: One of Draco's ancestors married a Muggleborn and made the mistake of bringing her home to meet the family. She was turned into a toad and released into the wild, while he became a footstool. While the bride somehow recovered and started a family with another Muggleborn, the groom was still a footstool up until Voldemort's occupation of Malfoy Manor.

The Incredibles

Jackie Chan Adventures

The Legend of Spyro

  • The Portal: Thomas Smith is transformed into a blue dragon when he is pulled from his world to the Dragon Realms by the titular portal. Later, his best friend is pulled into the Dragon Realms as well, except he becomes a yellow dragon as opposed to a blue one. In the sequel, Hard Choices, Thomas' parents are transformed into dragons when they're pulled into the Dragon Realms as well, with the father becoming a dark red dragon whereas the mother becomes a dark green dragoness.

The Legend of Zelda

Littlest Pet Shop (2012)

Minecraft

  • Gameknight999: At the end of Last Stand on the Ocean Shore, Herobrine is trapped in the body of a pig, putting an end to his evil plans since a pig has no way to attack.

Miraculous Ladybug

  • Scarlet Lady: When akumatized into Puppeteer, Manon can use dolls that look like various akuma to take control of people, forcibly transforming them back into their akumatized state. Fortunately, she's unable to do the same with the heroes — while she can still take control of them while they're transformed if she has their doll, she can't make them transform, since neither she or Hawk Moth knows their secret identities.
  • Truth and Consequences: Comes into play when Gabriel tries to combine the Ladybug Earrings and Black Cat Ring, triggering a Karmic Transformation into a giant purple moth monster.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

  • The Conversion Bureau: The PER use a a potion to forcibly turn people into ponies.
  • Diaries of a Madman: Athena cursed Arachne by transforming her into a spider, in revenge for an insult.
  • A Diplomatic Visit: In chapter 12 of the sequel Diplomat at Large, it's mentioned that as part of her sentence, along with being depowered, Chrysalis was turned into a donkey for the rest of her life.
  • The Elements of Friendship: Twilight's parents are permanently transformed into plants at Twilight's exam. Due to the nature of transformations, only Twilight can undo it... which she's not powerful enough to do yet.
  • How Trixie (Somehow) Saved Hearth's Warming: Trixie and Vixen end up turned into wooden toys by the Rat King. They soon discover his castle is filled with other ponies who were turned into wooden toys and enslaved by the Rat King. Trixie manages to turn being made of wood into somewhat of an advantage, and after the Rat King meets his end, everypony reverts back to normal.
  • The Moonstone Cup:
    • In the semifinals, Twilight turns her opponent Zlatan's magic against him to turn him into a decrepit husk who is unable to continue, although the spell wears off when the match ends.
    • In the finals, Amarok turns Twilight's wings into slabs of iron. She forces them back into normal enchanted wings.
  • My Family and Other Equestrians: Interlude 9 has Lizzie being turned into a pegasus overnight. The same chapter has Blade Star being involuntarily turned into an alicorn (he was a unicorn before that point). Discord might have something to do with both of these cases, though.
  • The Palaververse: Second Sun: Sir Stratus got forcibly Transflormation-ed in the past: "He’d been turned into a small shrub by the Lord of Chaos".
  • Past Sins: In the final chapter, Twilight thinks about when she felt protective of her adoptive daughter, about how she was going to deal a Transflormation punishment into cacti:
Most of all, Twilight thought of the day Nyx got lost in the Everfree Forest because of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Twilight had never been so furious or worried. She was really on the verge of turning those spoiled little brats into cacti.
  • The Pieces Lie Where They Fell: Mentioned as an effect of one artifact the group finds in the Questioning Order's vault. Also a side-effect of the Crystal Mirror, which transforms those who pass through it into a form suitable for the world on the other side. In this case, it turns all of the group into humans when they arrive in the world of Canterlot High.
  • RainbowDoubleDash's Lunaverse: In Helping... Hands?, Trixie is trying to learn more about zebra magic. To that end, she performs on Lyra what she thinks is a Zebrican ritual to turn a pony into a zebra. It moves over into this trope when she discovers that the Zebrican spellbook was badly mistranslated: Her spell turns Lyra into a human, and what she thinks is the counter-spell turns out to be a gender-change ritual. And things only go downhill from there.

Naruto

  • Will Of Foxfire makes Naruto into a werewolf, who has to avoid looking at a full moon at all costs — otherwise, not only will he transform against his will, he'll potentially be trapped in that form permanently.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

  • Moon Daughter: Annabeth is turned into a grape "with no soul" when she catches Mr. D watching "child pr0n".

Pokémon

  • FAITH (Miyatoriaka) is an Ash/Misty fan comic where Misty finds herself reunited with Ash after being transformed into a Pikachu.
  • Generation 2021: A variant. Hikaru is forced into a Garchomp costume. A costume that grants him the same powers as a real Garchomp.
  • PMD: The Rogue Team: Formerly human, the protagonist Erin wakes up in the pokemon world inside of a bubble, transformed into a fennekin with no memory of her past.
  • Pokémon Reset Bloodlines: One sidestory starring Professor Oak and Agatha when they were younger reveals that her younger brother Tony was killed in Drowning Woods by an evil Gengar, who turned his soul into a Gastly. He was stuck permanently in that form, growing to become Agatha's signature Gengar for many years.

Rugrats

  • The Joys and Sorrows of Young Charles Finster: Referenced in "Chicken Pox" when Drew convinces his younger brother that Chas' chicken box will turn him into a chicken. A doctor eventually reassures the kids that this isn't the case.

RWBY

  • Knight of Salem: Subverted. Salem transforms Gillian into a cat and tells her that if she's good, Salem might turn her back eventually. What Salem actually did was give Gillian Voluntary Shapeshifting to turn into a cat. Turning back into a human isn't that difficult, but there is a bit of a learning curve, and Gillian hasn't tried because she doesn't know it's possible.

Sonic the Hedgehog

Super Mario Bros.

  • The Most Stupid Deaths in Super Mario 64 seems to enjoy this trope:
    • At the end of episode 1, Mario transforms the brackets guy into a Kirby lookalike.
    • Also, when Mario is turned into a Goomba, and then a ghost.
    • When Clone 4 uses the Cursed Key of Peachium, he turns into a peach clone.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Vengeance of the Foot Clan:
    • During the events of Vengeance of the Foot Clan, Ethan is exposed to mutagen and transforms into a red panda. He's initially horrified, but Master Hamato helps him realize the pros of his condition.
    • During War of the Heart of Darkness, Jess is captured by the Foot Clan and forcibly converted into an Arctic fox.
