In which Lance is an Alien Prince who crash-landed on Earth after escaping his home planet and is seperated from his brother, Adalin as a result. In order to reunite with him Lance has to go undercover and infiltrate the Galaxy Garrison if he has any hope of going near a ship in the first place. But before he can do any of that he is chosen to be the Blue Paladin of Voltron, learns he is meant to save the universe and finds another family as a result.

- Abusive Parents: Adriel. Lance's biological father and who tried to execute his twelve year old son in public.
- Affectionate Nickname: "Humorous Hunk" is one given by Lance to Hunk which Hunk uses the later as a nickname. Hunk's real name is Tsuyoshi Garret.
- Aliens Speaking English: Well more like speaking Spanish, which Lance picks up remarkably quickly on account of being an Omniglot. Much to the amazement of his new found family. He also becomes fluent in several other languages later as well.
- Assassination Attempt: Well multiple thanks to the Fa-teh once Adriel finds out that Lance is alive.
- Badass Family: The Paladins families certainly are this as while the Paladins are fighting somewhere in the universe. They manage to use their connections and skills to plan for the Galra coming and make contingencies, funding and practical plans to help the Earth.
- Came from the Sky: Lance and later Shiro. The cave paintings in the Blue Lion's cave also allude to Lance's crashing on earth.
- Cool Big Sis: Veronica as per canon but the rest of the Mcclains also apply. Inverted with Lance's brother Adalin, Luis and Marco. In fact Marco is Lance's main basis that Lance bases his "fun-loving" personality.
- Family of Choice: Lance with the Mcclains, who were more than willing to accommodate and looks out for Lance. Lance shares this sentiment with them.
- Freudian Excuse: Adriel is insane because when was younger he looked into the golden Core of Candosia which has driven other members of the Cadderin Royal family insane as well and a reason for the Shared Familal Trait of gold eyes. It's also believed to be pure Quintessence.
- God Save Us from the Queen!: Well King. Adriel, Lance's father and ruler of Candosia, sold out his own people to the Galra and who is a cruel and abusive father to his sons.
- Good Parents: Alice and Antonio Mcclain who take Lance in along with the rest of the family. Their reactions when they heard about Adriel was pure hatred.
- Gratuitous Spanish: Especially at the start of the fic when Lance was still learning the language. Doubles as a Bilingual Bonus for any readers who understand the conversations between the Mcclains when rescuing Lance after his crash landing.
- Happily Adopted: Lance who loves his Earth family greatly and they love him in return.
- Human Disguise: What Lance has to blend in with Earth.
- Humanoid Aliens: Lance mostly resembles a human but he has dog-like ears and a nose, along with gold eyes. Fortunately for Lance, he can hide these traits.
- Like a Duck Takes to Water: Lance adapts ridiculously quickly to Earth in just a couple of years, learning its languages, history and culture. His family the Mcclains also help him in this regard, and as result Earth becomes Lance's preferred home.
- Missing Mom: Lance's biological mother is dead. Keith's is missing.
- Not His Sled: The Lion Swap does not occur here.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Lance when infiltrating the Garrison does this to stay downlow and under suspicion. Still, Adam Wayer catches onto the fact Lance is a lot smarter than he lets on and is annoyed at Lance hiding his true potential. Later on, Hunk mentions that Veronica told Lance to keep doing this in case to prevent him from getting caught.
- Offing the Offspring: Attempted by Adriel who sees Lance as a monster. He also sends out assassins after him once he discovers Lance is alive and a Blue Paladin. And also tries to kill Adalin.
- Persona Non Grata: Lance to Candosia. If he ever returns there on his own, he will be killed by his father and the Galra
- Public Execution: Attempted by Adriel to his son Lance who was twelve at the time due to Lance denouncing his actions with the Galra and speaking against him. Fortunately for Lance, this is Subverted by Adalin who organises bombings as a distraction to help his brother escape.
- Really Royalty Reveal: The rest of the Paladins find out about Lance being this and also an alien in quite a dramatic fashion.
- Right Behind Me: Lance mentions to James Griffin how annoyed Adam would be if he saw a cadet fighting with another on the first day. Guess who is right behind Lance as he says that.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: Both Lance and his brother Adalin are this.
- Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: The main person who is helping the Earth gang get funding in applying connection and preparing for the Galra invasion despite the Galaxy Garrison's reservations about telling the Earth about alien life is Marco. and it is heavily implied his connections include presidents of countries.
- Secret-Keeper: Lance's earth family The Mcclains know and hide the fact that Lance is an alien from the rest of the world. Later on Hunk discovers on his own that Lance is a Candosian and later, by pure accident Keith does after triggering Lance's detransformation.
- Secret Secret-Keeper: Turns out Iverson knew Lance was an alien for quite some time after Lance accidentally revealed himself briefly in front of him. He reveals this to Adam whom he knows also knows. Doubles as a Rewatch Bonus with Iverson's words with Lance after Keith gets kicked out and Lance becomes a fighter pilot.
- Spanner in the Works: Keith, is this to Lance. Him getting kicked out changes Lance's plans of staying a cargo pilot and making an unassuming escape to look for his brother to Lance moving to fighter pilot and putting him under the scrutinising eye of Commander Iverson. Which Lance originally resents Keith f* Strong Family Resemblance: Lance and Adalin both resemble each other greatly regarding their faces and having the same gold eyes.
- Supernatural Gold Eyes: A Cadderin Royal Family trait that Adriel, Adalin and Lance all have.
- The Password Is Always "Swordfish": Fuck is the password which Pidge uses for her family to use when transmitting messages to Earth.
- The Quisling: Adriel who sold his people out to the Galra and still rules on Candosia. Albiet as a Puppet King
- Unusual Ears: Lance has these in the form of dog-like ears which he keeps hidden.
- Would Hurt a Child: Adriel. Tried to murder his twelve-year-old son.
