Queens of Adventure is a Fifth Edition Dungeons&Dragons actual play podcast. Run by Dungeon Master Matt Baume, Queens of Adventure follows the hijinks of real life drag queens Harlotte O'Scara- the Human Rogue, Arson Nicki the Drow Warlock, Fraya Love the Water Genasi Cleric of Cher, and Butylene O'Kippel the Tiefling Alchemist. Together, this band of adventurers dubbed Booty and the Hofish search for the treasures of the lost Queens, explore the land of Fire Island (not that one...), and generally get into and out of horrifying trouble together.

An audio series that runs on equal parts Rule of Funny, Always Camp, and Dungeon Crawling for a raunchy and adventurous show, the series began as a series of live-action shows at Seattle clubs before becoming a true podcast series after undertaking a successful Kickstarter campaign in April 2018.

This podcast provides examples of:

  • All Gays Love Theater: Technically invoked by the Queens, what with them being drag queens...
  • Bargain with Heaven: Several characters make bargains with heavenly powers...
    • Arson received powers from the divine patron Samantha. Not a goddess named Samantha, just Samantha.
    • Fraya, by contrast, actually receives power from a Goddess. Cher.
  • Chaotic Stupid: After being captured by the Glamazons and standing trial for their crimes, the Queens are a bit off-put by the idea that they committed any crimes at all. Their interviewer points out a few things they neglected to remember.
    • Double crossing a patron by selling her a face cream that deals Cold Damage just to spite her.
    • Trying to kidnap Jimjim on the beach and use him as a meat shield against the undead.
    • Behaving as if they were slaves of the Golden Palace Resort. The Resort was up to "some shady shit" but they were being given room, board, weapons, and work- and they were compensated for bringing in helpful items and food.
    • Creating a duplicate copy of the treaty in Water's Port for nefarious-and-or-fun reasons, then failing to return to the resort in a timely manner so the residents could not call on the Glamazons for help against the undead.
  • Drag Queen: Half the appeal of the show. Booty and the Hofish are all drag performers in game and out of it.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Ellen the Glamazon Cleric. Three guesses which Ellen she is, and the first two don't count...
  • Overlord Jr.: Technically, Barb the Devil. Barb wreaks absolute havoc on the Hofish (burning down the Water's Port Archive, turning Arson into a drider, etc.) and tries to tempt each of the Ho's to join them in creating a supermutant army. Barb wants to make said army to defeat the sea spawn and show up their boss- who plans to deal with the sea spawn by causing a volcanic eruption across the whole island.
  • Power Perversion Potential: Whenever the Queens get any sort of magical power or item, this is inevitably the first topic of discussion for its use.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: While fighting Barb the Devil in the burning Water's Port archive, Arson gets hit with a mutagen injector and becomes a drider.
  • Too Dumb to Live: After recovering the ancient treaty of Water's Port, the Queens decide not to return it right away and instead travel to the forbidden side of the island. The side of the island no one is supposed to go to. Under pain of death. That side of the island. They're immediately seized by the Glamazons, imprisoned, put on trial, and sentenced to death by being flung into the sea via giant catapult. Thankfully, they roll well enough to escape from the Total Party Kill.
