Characters

  • "Celery" for Celliera, which is easier to remember and pronounce than the character's intended fantasy-sounding name, and it fits her health nut personality.
  • "Dragon Daddy" for Xainfried taking care of two baby dragons, Fydon and Felyx, regarding them as if they were his own children. It becomes an Ascended Meme in his Dragonyule story.
    • "Xaindeer" for Dragonyule Xainfried who is dressed like a reindeer pulling a sleigh for Fydon and Felyx.
  • “Xunder” for the rather Off-Model face that Xander has in the “Cleo's Ruse” Wyrmprint.

  • "Banana" for Irfan's clothes making him look like one.
  • "Harmacist" for Heinwald, due to his very unique pure Combat Medic nature of his kit.

  • The “Weenie Crew” is the name given to the group of Elias, Pia and Lowen as child heroes who are led into (mis)adventures by Ranzal and Luca.
    • And now that Ranzal has a child form, the Weenie Crew has a proper leader!
  • "Buff/Swole/JoJo Luca" is this for the Luca seen in Dragalia Life #14 after Celliera puts him through serious training that leaves him bulging with muscles to Euden's horror, which turns out to be a horrible dream for him.

    • "Granzal" for Gala Ranzal
    • "Gleo" for Gala Cleo

    • "Alolan/Galarian Barbary" with "Stranded Scions" introducing Kanaloa as a Light version.

  • "Thanos" is Lazry's since her power arm looks like the Infinity Gauntlet.
  • "Mahoymenoy" for Vodyanoy due to both phrases being pronounced similarly.

  • "Marluxia" is this for Yurius due to the both of them being pink-haired bishonens.

    • Komi-san is this for when he gets super nervous and shy.
  • Ayaha & Otoha are often referred as "twins" or "loli twins" for convenience for the fans. Alternatively, a funny way to call them is "Ayaya and Ohoho".

  • Nedrick was originally known as Trueden when he first appeared. Even moreso after Chapter 15 reveals that he IS the real Euden who died of wyrmscale.
    • He’s also been called Dark Euden, or the Dark Prince, due to Nintendo’s tendency to call black, evil, alternate versions of their protagonists “Dark X,” such as Dark Link, Dark Samus, Dark Pit, etc.
  • When High Jupiter dashes, a trail of lightning follows him, keeping players from chasing him down immediately. This attack is sometimes referred to as the "butt lightning."
  • Revolutionary Girl Elisanne for Dragalia Life #268's Art Shift looking like it wouldn't be out of place in that manga, but for the sheer amount of Les Yay.

  • Hildr is this for Pinon as a pink-haired and pink-eared sylvan girl compared to one of the three Valkyrie sisters.

    • In addition, she's also sometimes called "Roguefort Cookie" due to both characters being French-speaking Phantom Thieves that have a primarily blue outfit with a top hat.
  • Formal Joachim has been called "Woke-im" after "Northern Negotiators," feeling like him helping to negotiate manacasters for Svenitla (Fantasy Russia) is helping nobody but the upper class.
  • "02" is this for Lilith due to her colors looking like the Kirby boss.
  • Upon his introduction, a lot of fans have called Gatov by the name of "Deathstroke" or "Slade" due to how much he resembles said character, having white hair, an eyepatch, and a black and orange outfit.
  • "Old Fischl" is this for Yoshitsune, the Leader of the Rooster Clan due to looking like an older version of Fischl who's still just as powerful but finally grew out of her Chuunibyou phase.
  • In a similar vein to the above "Leyasu", "Le Volk" is this for Legendary Volk, and considering his personality, makes him into a French Jerk.
  • Chaddis for Addis being a Memetic Badass as part of Ieyasu's retainers. Even moreso during 2021's Valentine's Day Castle Story where he becomes the Chad to Eugene's Virgin, giving him helpful advice.

  • Likewise for the above, "HuMerc" for Mercury's human form.
  • "Broseidon" is this for Gala Reborn Poseidon since being purified of the corruption not only made him younger and buffer, but also turns him into a much needed Game-Breaker for Water teams.
  • "Baha Blast" is this for Gala Bahamut who, as of October 2021 is the most powerful dragon both in story (being one of the two creator gods) and in gameplay (doling out 120% damage, and he's always summoned with Gala Zethia regardless of dragon.)
  • Iblis is occasionally referred to as "Kaeya" or "Evil Kaeya" due to their fairly similar dark skin and blue-haired appearance.
  • Not an individual character, but the Flame Adventurer team of Gala Leonidas, Gala Laxi, Kimono Elisanne and Ayaha & Otoha are referred to by the fandom as "Exodia" due to it being the definitive meta solo team for its element, able to employ Amps and shapeshifting for maximum damage. note

Gameplay

  • In terms of Unbinding Weapons (pre-2.0), Dragons and Wyrmprints, a freshly unfused copy is called 0ub. Once four copies of the same item are bound, it's called max unbound, or Mub.
  • An adventurer at Level 100, maximum Strength and HP augmentation, and has all the nodes in their Mana Spiral unbound, tends to be called "Perfect [Character.]"
  • "Mr. Lost" for the game itself, especially when it comes to Twitter announcements.
  • The 2.0 version of the game tends to be known as "Dragalia Lost & Found" (since everyone lost the Dragalia Lost they had and found a completely overhauled experience.)
  • The "Dream Summon Special" voucher is seen as a counterpart to the "Surprise Ticket" of Granblue, coming from the same developer. And as such, GBF players call the Dream Summon Special item as "Suptix" even in this game.
  • "Grace Summon" is this for the Dream Summon available during the 2.0 anniversary special. While the Dream Summon allows players to pick out any adventurer or dragon they've yet to summon, a good portion of them are using it to pull Grace, one of the best "healer" in the game for both shadow and even off-element events.
  • "Gold Toilet Paper(s)" and "Silver Toilet Paper(s)" for the Champion's Testaments and Knight's Testaments, respectively, due to how rare they are, tying into the then-recent meme that toilet paper will become a currency in the age of the COVID-19 coronavirus due to fights breaking out over it. Champion's Testaments also go by the name of "Power Paper(s)" due to being needed for 5-stars' Mana Spirals, which usually makes them into some of the best Adventurers in the game.
  • "Red Bull Powder" for Ethon Ashes and Blessed Ethon Ashes, since they give you wings, GETHERwings.
  • Dragalia Ronpa is this for the Doomsday Getaway event which plays out like a Danganronpa game with a Monokuma expy, murder mystery, trials and even the music.
