The Fantome Inn is a Tumblr Journal Roleplay. The gist of the plot is that all the characters are trapped in the inn by unknown supernatural forces. Some of the characters are humans and some are ghosts.
Alfred Whitaker owns an apartment building. For years, he's been trying to get the building off his back but for every apartment rented, the owners of the apartment would die. After twenty years of dying apartment-owners, Alfred finally realized something; once you enter the builiding, you can never get out. Alfred knows he needs to get this apartment out of his name and into someone else's. So, Alfred finally convinces a large group of young adults to buy the building. Big mistake on their part, now they're stuck inside this apartment building with no one but themselves and these ghosts.
This roleplay provides examples of:
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Since it's a horror roleplay, the excuse given when people drop their characters is that they mysteriously vanished.
- Drugs Are Bad: A lot of characters, such as Brad, have troubles with drugs.
- Fantastic Romance: Happens all the time. Plenty of human and ghost couples.
- Good Parents: Elijah and Phoenix try their best to raise Misha right in the Inn.
- Half-Human Hybrid: Misha has a ghost for a dad, but his mother is alive and well.
- Hands-Off Parenting: Danny McQueen's parents were never around when he was young, preferring to go off on expensive vacations and business trips to other countries. A classic case of Parental Neglect.
- Hospital Hottie: Nurse Amelia Lovejoy is a hot redhead.
- Magnetic Medium: Elijah Church, who is the only person in the inn with medium powers.
