Carolyn von Benckendorf, better known as Carolyn Seymour (October 1, 1947) is an English actress best known for The Ruling Class (1972), Zorro, the Gay Blade (1981), Congo (1995), and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997). In the early 2000s, she began a fairly prolific career as a voice actor; her two most famous roles are Dr. Karin Chakwas in the Mass Effect trilogy, and Locust Queen Myrrah in the first three Gears of War games.
She was married to Hungarian-British director Peter Medak from 1973 to 1984, and they have two children. She is not related to fellow British actress Jane Seymour.
