Surtr
Surtr
- BFS: He has one as his Duel Disk.
- Norse Mythology: He is named after the fire giant that will set the world ablaze at Ragnarok.
- Tomato in the Mirror: He was unaware that he was actually a Transer-type robot.
- Turned Against Their Masters: He attacks Odin after learning the truth about him, breaking Odin's armour, but is promptly destroyed.
Odin
Odin
- Demonic Possession: He initially possessed one of the scientists who were investigating Yggdrasil. When he committed suicide in an unsuccessful attempt to take Odin with him, Odin possessed his daughter, Alina. Judging from a line after Surtr breaks his armour, there might be a little more to the second case.
- The Faceless: Until the end.
- Manipulative Bastard
- Norse Mythology: He is named after the king of the Norse Gods.
- Samus Is a Girl: Odin is possessing the body of Alina, the daughter of one of the scientists investigating Yggdrasil.
- Taking You with Me: Odin attempts to bury the group with him at the bottom of the ocean after his loss.
- Tin Tyrant: Apparently the armour is meant to prevent Odin's soul from escaping. Whether it is a Restraining Bolt or a Soul Anchor is unclear.

- Childhood Friends: With the player.
- Dishing Out Dirt: Uses a Scrap Deck, which are EARTH attribute.

Misaki
Misaki
- Aborted Arc: She tells the main character to evolve their Synchro Summoning, alluding to Accel Synchro and Bruno's role in the anime. This doesn't actually lead up to anything in the story and is dropped entirely.
- Androids Are People, Too: Despite it never being revealed to any of the characters, Misaki is actually an android all along. Despite that, she becomes close friends with the protagonist.
- Killer Rabbit: Her Watt monsters are very cute, cartoonish animals that are all out to get you. Averted with her boss monsters, though: Wattchimera and Watthydra are very fierce-looking.
- Perpetual Frowner: She rarely smiles if anything, and her attitude is usually cold, but she's a caring and understanding indivisual.
- Shock and Awe: She uses a Watt Deck, which are Thunder type.
- Shout-Out: Like Bruno/Dark Glass, one to Kamen Rider.
- Tsundere: Mostly to Toru
- Weak, but Skilled: Her Watt deck. Her monsters are weak, but can lock down your opponent's field. This is used to show how strategic and strong Misaki is.
- When She Smiles: In the ending, she smiles, thanking the player for saving the future.
- Wrench Wench: Like Bruno, she's good with machines.
Klaus
Klaus
- Making a Splash: He plays with a Cloudian deck.
- Our Angels Are Different: Cloudians are Fairy-types.
