Noble Six (Lieutenant XXX-B312)

Homeworld: Jericho VII
Birthdate: CLASSIFIED

"Hyper-lethal... there's only one other Spartan with that rating."

Noble Six is a Spartan-III super soldier that ends up on Remnant after nearly dying from his last stand of Reach. Finding himself on the unknown planet, he continues the UNSC directive of protecting Humanity while also trying to reestablish contact with them.

  • Anti-Hero: While he is dedicated to protecting humanity and innocents, he is by no means afraid of using lethal force if needed.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: The White Fang starts viewing him as all the humans they killed coming back for revenge. Further on in the story he is viewed as the literal Grim Reaper.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: One of the biggest weapons in Six's arsenal is his analytical skills. He can learn an opponents fighting style mid-fight and will do research into how some ones Semblance works before countering it.
  • Badass Normal: An interesting example; while the main cast of RWBY use aura and semblances to deal with Grimm and hostile humans, he manages to get by with nothing but his SPARTAN-III augmentations, his MJOLNIR Mark V armor, and his training.
  • Berserk Button: "Berserk" might be a strong word for someone like Six, but there are ways to incur his wrath
    • Hurting innocent civilians is the fastest way to get him after you. The White Fang learn this the hard way after bombing an apartment building in Atlas.
    • Endangering Maaya, and especially Myne since he feels personally responsible for the death of the girl's family at the hands of Tyrian.
  • Boring, but Practical: His weaponry and fighting style are not the Mix and Match Weaponry Huntsmen/Huntresses use, nor is he one for flair. His fights start and end with one question: How fast can the threat be dealt with?
  • Broken Ace: He is the only other SPARTAN asides from Master Chief to be classified as Hyper-Lethal and brings hope to the frontier of Remnant through his actions, yet the process to turn a traumatized child survivor of a Covenant attack into the man he is now has pretty much turned him into a Not Afraid to Die Sociopathic Soldier. If it weren't for the fact he still believes in protecting humanity, he would have become the worst thing to happen to Remnant.
  • Brutal Honesty: Six is never one to mince words with anyone, frequently pointing out the various flaws in Remnant's style of crimefighting without sugarcoating anything he says.
    • Ozpin is the most frequent recipient of Six's honesty, whether directly or through his followers, with the driving irritant to Six's patience being the Headmaster refusing to accept the word "no" for an answer.
  • Combat Pragmatist: He is a very straightforward fighter, opting for the straightest line between the threat living and being a corpse. Stealth, misdirection, and poison are just a few of the many tricks he employs in combat.
  • The Cowl: A rather dark example. Six tends to operate largely at night to get the drop on his enemies and ruthlessly kill them. He is also a Child Soldier thanks to being inducted into the SPARTAN-III program after a Covenant attack on Jericho VII killed his parents and being turned into a Headhunter. He also wears a cloak in order to conceal his MJOLNIR Mark V armor.
  • Dramatic Irony: He is the bane of Insurrectionists and Separatists who inspired the frontier and inner settlements to separate from the cities and become self sufficient without the help of the Council through his heroic actions
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: He has taken on Ancient Grimm and a certain immortal wizard and won those fights.
  • The Drifter: He mainly wanders around the planet taking jobs ranging from killing Grimm and bandits, to rescuing a kidnapped infant, before continuing to the next stop. Further on in the story he begins staying longer in the village Maaya lives in.
  • The Dreaded: Establishes this reputation on Remnant with his cold, efficient purges of Remnant's criminals and killing Ozpin.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: His first few years on Remnant he was nothing but a drifting, cloaked hobo. By the current chapters he's become something that terrifies nearly all the bad guys into panicking if even his nicknames are brought up.
  • Good Is Not Soft: See Anti-Hero above
  • Good Is Not Nice: Just because Six is on the side of good doesn't mean he will play by the rules that Remnant's good guys use. Anyone who's tried to get him on their side can testify to that.
  • It's Personal: While he doesn't entirely view the various terrorists of Remnant as warranting this response, the few people that have earned this have been torn to literal shreds by him. Notable examples include Tyrian, Ozpin, and Merlot.
  • Never Hurt an Innocent: While he is willing to make any terrorist or bandit a corpse in a heartbeat, anyone that has done nothing to warrant this treatment wont become a target of his.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Six is a very collected and calm person when is comes to his emotions. Ozpin having Maaya and Myne kidnapped, causes him to roar in rage and terrify everyone in the guild.
  • One-Man Army: He's been qualified by ONI as Hyper-Lethal, and he has proven that designation is well-earned from his destruction of the White Fang and any unlucky bandits or criminals he finds out about.
  • Outside-Context Problem: He more than qualifies for this on Remnant. He not only keeps himself as unidentifiable as possible, he also wears a suit of armor that could be considered more advanced than anything Atlas could make, he also refuses to abide by anything the inhabitants could consider "fair" in a fight.
  • Powered Armor: His MJOLNIR Mark V armor, not only does it augment his strength, but it also comes with an energy shield that lets him tank attacks. He can also use armor abilities such as Armor Lock and Active Camo. Anyone who sees him without his cloak compares it to being a tank made for war.
  • Super-Soldier: Comes with the territory of being a SPARTAN-III.
  • Sociopathic Soldier: If there's a way for him to get the job done, he'll take it regardless of the lives he may have to take. However, he will never put innocent civilians either in or anywhere near his crosshairs.
  • Walking Armory: Boy oh boy is he one. He not only carries his DMR and M90 Shotgun from Reach, but also several throwing knifes, multiple vials of Dust, and various pieces of Forerunner equipment including the Binary Rifle, Boltshot, and Suppressor.
  • Undying Loyalty: He will never betray the U.N.S.C no matter what others offer to him and it is the main reason why he doesn't join Ozpin. In fact, he tells nearly anyone sent to recruit him to go away and teaches those that don't take 'no' for an answer a reason to leave him be after he politely refuses several times over.
