The relatives of W.I.T.C.H.
Will's Family
Susan Vandom
Voiced by: Lauren Tom
Will's divorced mother. She is dating Will's history teacher, Dean Collins.
- Ambiguously Brown: It has yet to be revealed what her ethnicity is. Judging from her name and appearance, she is likely to be somewhere from the Middle East.
- Amicable Exes: Downplayed with Tony (his cartoon incarnation) where they seem to get along marginally better in comparison.
- Casting Gag: Susan Vandom isn't the only loving but strick mother to a magical kid that Lauren Tom voiced. What's more ironic is that mother character is also named Susan.
- Hypocrite: In "H is for Hunted" it was revealed that Susan lied to Will about seeing Dean again. When Susan started to reprimand Will about promising to get the laundry, Will retorted that she promised to stop seeing her teacher. Then, she really lays into her mom about the hypocrisy when she lied to her daughter on responsibility, while lying to her about seeing her teacher.
- Lethal Chef: She put a cellphone into the soup she was making for dinner. But on the other hand, it's established Will is the actual Lethal Chef in the household, so we can imagine often she's the one who prepares decent meals.
- Ms. Fanservice: Susan was always an attractive woman, but we get a peek of her in clothing that showed her curvy figure in "H is for Hunted".
- Race Lift: Fairly Caucasian-looking in the comics, Ambiguously Brown in the cartoon.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Blue to Tony's Red; in personality she has more of Red, but is Blue because she's more responsible than Tony.
Tony Vandom
Voiced by: Dan Gilvezan
Will's absent father who makes an appearance in the second season.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: In the TV series he is heavily implied to be irresponsible and disappeared for months. But now he just wants to reconnect with his daughter. He was a straight up Jerkass in the comics.
- Adaptation Name Change: His first name was changed from "Thomas" to "Tony" in the cartoon.
- Amicable Exes: Downplayed with Susan.
- Cool Car: Shown in "N is for Narcissist".
- Fiery Redhead: Averted. He is more laidback and it turns out that Will adopted her "fiery" status from her dark haired mother.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: It's true, he did leave for months and didn't bother to call or send mail to his only daughter. But, now that he's back, he wants to be a part of Will's life.
- Open-Minded Parent: Justified since he wants his daughter to love him.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The Red to Susan's Blue. In personality, Tony is more Blue, but is Red because of his recurring actions of being an irresponsible father.
Serena Sanchez
Voiced by: Elisa Gabrielli
Serena is the fiancée of Tony and future stepmom for Will.
- Alliterative Name: Serena Sanchez.
- Ambiguously Brown: Serena even has an unknown accent.
- Camera Fiend: Averted. It seems to be her profession.
- Canon Foreigner: Never appeared in the comics.
- Ms. Fanservice: We first see her in a bikini. And she is gorgeous.
- Nice Girl: Initially, Will has a hard time accepting her dad has moved on and assumes Serena is Nerissa in disguise, but is proven wrong. Serena turns out to be a really nice and cool lady. Lampshaded by Blunk.
- Second Love: To Tony in the cartoon. They're getting married.
- Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: Originally, Will thought Serena was Nerissa in disguise, but she's proven wrong as Serena really is a kindhearted woman.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: She's a hottie, has blue hair, is Ambiguously Brown, and is younger than Tony. Now who else does that sound like?
- Wicked Stepmother: Lampshaded and Averted by Serena herself.

Voiced by: Byrne Offutt
Irma's father. He is a cop.
- Adaptation Dye-Job: Had gray hair in the comics, while he had brown hair in the cartoon.
- Chubby Mama, Skinny Papa: Inverted. Tom is the Chubby Papa to Anna's Skinny Mama.
- Life of the Party: He claims in season one's "Happy Birthday Will", that he is a party animal.
- Tough Love: He's only tough on his kids because he wants them to grow up as responsible, mature adults one day.
- Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: With his wife, Anna Lair. Tom isn't ugly, but when you pair him up with Anna...
Anna Lair
Voiced by: Candi Milo
Irma's mother.
- Chubby Mama, Skinny Papa: Inverted. Anna is the Skinny Mama to Tom's Chubby Papa.
- Promoted to Love Interest: In the comics, Anna was Tom's second wife, but is his presumably first wife in the cartoon.

- Strong Family Resemblance: The only difference between her and Irma is that Anna's hair is slightly longer.

- Graceful Ladies Like Purple: She wear a light purple shirt and slightly dark purple pants in the TV series.
- Horrible Judge of Character: She thought Nigel was nothing but a delinquent who would end up getting Taranee in trouble. She learns how wrong she was later on.
Peter Cook
Voiced by: Ogie Banks
Taranee's older brother.
- Adaptation Dye-Job: His goatee in the comics was red. It matches his natural hair color instead in the cartoon.
- Lovable Jock: He's an avid basketball player and is a sweet person.
- Nice Guy: Peter has been shown to be polite, mature, and thoughtful.
- Promoted to Love Interest: An inversion. He's Cornelia's Second Love in the comics and while they date in the animated series, she ultimately gets back with Caleb.
Cornelia's Family
Harold Hale
Voiced by: Jim Cummings
Cornelia's father.
- Alliterative Name: Harold Hale.
- Deadpan Snarker: The second season shows him having a dry wit similar to his eldest daughter.
Elizabeth Hale
Voiced by: Nancy Linari
Cornelia's mother.
- My Beloved Smother: Implied to be this in the cartoon by Cornelia.
- Strong Family Resemblance: The older, glasses wearing version of her eldest daughter. She's also shown to be stubborn and argumentative like Cornelia.
Lillian Hale
Voiced by: Alyson Stoner
Cornelia's younger sister.
- Adaptational Badass: The comics has her only as Cornelia's annoying sister. The cartoon makes her the Heart of Earth, with untapped potential for immense magical powers like Elyon's.
- Ascended Extra: In the comics, Lilian is just Cornelia's doted on, big mouthed sister. In the TV series, Lillian is the Heart of Earth.
- Bratty Half-Pint: Somewhat Justified in the TV series; she sometimes acts or does bratty things because she secretly wants her big sister to hang out with her.
- Cute Witch: Her costume in "W is for Witch".
- Friend to All Living Things: Gets along well with both Napoleon and Mr. Huggles.
- A Girl and Her X: A Girl And Her Cat. She immediately falls in love with Napoleon, the Hales' pet cat, in "B is for Betrayal". The same thing happens in the comic book. In the show, Napoleon eventually becomes one of her three regents.
- In-Series Nickname: "Princess" by Matt.
- Magical Girl: The Heart of Earth.
- Oblivious Younger Sibling: Has no idea of her powers as the Heart of Earth.
- Power Incontinence: In "U is for Undivided", her powers start leaking out and she unwittingly makes Napoleon able to talk and creates chaos by bringing her bedtime story to life without realizing it. Eventually, she is convinced to invest her energy among Matt, Huggles and Napoleon as her three 'Regents of Earth' until she is old enough to handle the power herself, enabling them to join W.I.T.C.H. in the fight against Nerissa.
- Ship Tease: With Chris Lair.
