Ollie
- Voiced by: Kobi Frumer, Brian Beckerle (Season 1), Liam Patenaude (Season 2)
- "When you have a brainstorm, I get dragged off somewhere."
- Blue/Orange Contrast: Has orange fur and wears a blue (and white) striped shirt.
- Bookworm: He enjoys reading.
- Butt-Monkey: Poor Ollie has to put up with Moon's sometimes reckless decisions (this gets toned down in Season 2). Suffers a lot of slapstick, and gets the short end of the stick when it comes to the mishaps during the trips.
- Catchphrase: "When you have a brainstorm, I get dragged off somewhere." He stops saying this in Season 2.
- Character Development: He starts becoming more tolerant of Moon's brainstorms in Season 2, and, while still slightly hesitant, is much more eager to tag along with her than in the first season. He also overcomes his fear of water in "Fearless in Fiji."
- Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: Sometimes looks out for the overzealous Moon.
- Crazy-Prepared: He often overpacks for the trips Once per Episode.
- Cute Little Fangs: Has two fangs sticking out his mouth.
- Mellow Fellow: He’s the more laid-back of the two.
- Nice Guy: He’s very friendly.
- Nervous Wreck: Zig-Zagged. He is sometimes concerned about everything and tends to overthink and worry about what could happen.
- Not So Above It All: Usually plays the straight man, but sometimes can be just as eccentric as Moon, especially in the second season.
- Obsessively Organized: He's known to be straight-laced, and a by-the-book as it gets.
- Primal Fear: He's afraid of turtles. As seen in "Super Ollie In Nicaragua," he gets frightened about helping baby sea turtles.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: He's the sensible blue oni to Moon’s buoyant red oni
- Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: The savvy guy to Moon’s energetic girl.
- Trademark Favourite Food: He’s super fond of cheese.
- Why Did It Haveto Be Snakes?: As stated in Primal Fear, he is scared of turtles. Best indicated in "Super Ollie in Nicaragua", where he tries to repress his fear of helping baby sea turtles with a pretend cape.
Moon
- Voiced by: Mattea Conforti (Season 1), Rosalie Turmel (Season 2).
- "I'm having a brainstorm!"
- Action Girl: She’s always up for an adventure and quite the risk-taker.
- Beware the Silly Ones: She’s normally quite crazy and perky, but when the situation calls for it she can be practical and no-nonsense.
- Breakthe Cutie: She normally sees the positive side of things, but she can become quite despaired if her urges or ideas go wrong.
- Butt-Monkey: Not as bad as Ollie but she still suffers from bad luck for the sake of comedy at times.
- Catchphrase: "I'm having a brainstorm!" (or just "Brainstorm!")
- Challenge Seeker This is both her greatest strength and her biggest flaw. She's not satisfied unless she gets to experience new places and things, however this often leads her to be quite reckless and get into all sorts of predicaments.
- Cheerful Child: She’s very cheery.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: Downplayed. She's on the same line of reality as everyone else, but can sometimes be a little silly, such as her crazy ideas, and quirky nature.
- The Fashionista: Sometimes shows an interest in clothes and dressing up.
- Genki Girl: Ridiculously excitable.
- Hardboiled Detective: "Camping With Catlock in Canada" has Moon as a practical detective who must figure out who is pranking their camp site.
- No Indoor Voice: Justified. Hence being full of energy, she tends to be loud a lot. Most notably, in “Japanse Bunny Bop,” where Moon's loudness jeopardizes Ollie's bunny sighting.
- Red Is Heroic: She wears a red shirt and is willing to lend a hand.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: She's the upbeat red oni to Ollie’s sensible blue oni
- Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: She's the Energetic Girl to Ollie’s Savvy Guy.
- Vocal Evolution: Moon's voice is much deeper and slightly calmer sounding in the second season, due to a change in voice actors.
