    Nash

Nash

Voiced by: Yukiko Morishita

The older brother of Nisha.

  • Everyone Has Standards: Nash still hates Kanata after what happened to his sister, but then he overhears Forte and Assid's plan to make Sonia, who is currently fused with an Enforcer EX, self-destruct and destroy the entire population of Yednark while framing Kanata as the cause. Nash looks disturbed and horrified at the thought of using Sonia to kill the people of Yednark just to get his revenge on Kanata. It is clear that Nash doesn't want anyone to be killed, and that is why he tells Sonia the truth about her father's actions and tries to reason with her.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Esvanilla's truesight stone reveals this facet about Nash's character. While Kanata killing Cody in rage and Nisha dying was certainly traumatic, Nash was using that as a convenient excuse to justify his already pre-existing hatred of Kanata. Basically, Nash was jealous that Kanata seemed to get everything Cody wanted — a home, a family, friends, and Misella's affections — and all of it without even trying.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Nash sacrifices himself to protect Kanata from Esvanilla, who fused himself with the King of Arabumi at the cost of his life.
  • Hypocrite: He doesn't care to learn about the exact circumstances of Kanata and Misella's crimes, despite how he almost got framed for murder at the beginning of the game and could have ended up condemned like them. This is because he's grieving over Nisha's death.
  • It's Personal: He became obsessed with killing Misella as the result of his sister's death. He wants to see Misella burn alive just like how his sister died. Played with in that he's content with seeing Enforcers and knights kill the targets of his revenge rather than doing the deed himself, something that Vicious calls him out on.
  • Last Request: Before Nash dies from his wounds, he requests Sonia to take his eyes and use them to watch over Kanata. They agree to fulfill Nash's final request and prepare to transplant his eyes to Sonia, but the doctor says one of his eyes was damaged and they can only save the other eye.
  • Revenge Before Reason: After the fire at the orphanage, he doesn't mention Cody's crimes to the townspeople because he doesn't want Kanata to get any leeway for his condemnation. Also, he helps Assid and Forte kidnap and use Sonia against Kanata, without being told that doing so might end up killing Sonia and destroying the town in an Angst Nuke from her fury. It's only after this that Nash realizes he may be taking his vengeance a little too far.
  • Sadistic Choice: Vicious gives him two choices to choose from: He can either kill Misella for indirectly killing his sister and become a transgressor, or leave them alone and live with his hatred and regret. He chooses the latter since he would rather live with regret and hatred than become a transgressor.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: He never forgives Kanata and Misella for indirectly killing his sister.
  • Youthful Freckles: Nash is a young boy who has freckles dusting his face.

Ivis

An ancient sorcerer and founder of the Nation of Sin.

  • Ambiguous Gender: During the initial release of Chapter 3, Ivis was referred to with male pronouns. A version update between Chapter 3 and the release of Chapter 6 changed this to gender-neutral language. In Chapter 7 Part 2, it's been confirmed Ivis is a woman.
  • Promotion to Parent: After Cody Hjuger was killed, she took his daughter Sonia in and cared for her along with other villagers of Nokana. However shortly afterward, she left on a journey to parts unknown.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Ivan wears a dark purple dress and has lavender eyes, which is associated with being an ancient sorceress. She's also responsible for sealing away Vicious' Great Transgessor powers.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Despite Ivan creating a barrier to prevent non-transgressors from entering, she didn't realize there was a chance someone powerful as them could break through. She unknowingly left the citizens of the Nation of Sin unprotected and all of the latter were massacred by Makina.
  • Walking the Earth: After Ivis created the Nation of Sin as a safe haven for transgressors, she decide to travel to the unknown place. She have a habit of traveling to different places and never staying in the same place.

A blinded girl who lives in Nokana Village.

  • Eyes Always Shut: Sonia never opens her eyes because she has been blind since birth.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Sonia is unaware of her father selling children into slavery and body parts to buyers. Sonia wasn't aware that Kanata is her brother until Chapter 7.
  • Five Stages of Grief:In Chapter 7, Sonia tries to handle her emotions after her father's death.
    • Denial: Despite Kanata and Nash telling her the truth about her father's true colors, she's in denial and refuses to believe her father was a horrible person.
    • Anger: Sonia's hatred for Kanata is so great, she is willing get fused with Enforcer EX in order to extract her revenge on him. She doesn't care about sacrificing her own life and destroying the entire population of Yednark in order to kill him.
    • Depression: Sonia's love for her father is so great, she deeply misses him and says he was her light. This is one of the reasons why she is willing to give up her life and get herself killed in order to kill Kanata. • Acceptance. Sonia finally gets over her father's death and is on neutral terms with her brother Kanata, who killed their father. She still can't forgive him for what he did, but she doesn't want him dead yet since she promised Nash she will keep watching him.
  • Fusion Dance: Consumed with hatred of Kanata and after finding out who he is, she is willing to be fused with an Exforcer EX in order to exact her revenge on him.
  • Long-Lost Relative: She is Kanata's younger sister.
  • Missing Mom: Like Kanata, Sonia never mentions her mother as she only fondly talks about her father and how she knew him her entire life. It implies her mother died after giving birth to her.
  • The Power of Hate: Sonia's hatred of Kanata is used as a energy battery to fill the Enforcer EX she fused with. However, if the Enforcer EX absorbs too much negativity energy, it will act as a time bomb and destroy the entire population, along with their host.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: According to Misella, Sonia looks like Kanata. It makes sense since, in Chapter 6 Part 1 finale, she is Cody’s daughter and Kanata’s younger sister.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: After Misella's Guilt Complex is revealed, Sonia calls her out for her hypocrisy, rightfully pointing out that no amount of suffering she undergoes will automatically bring back the dead.
  • You Killed My Father: Sonia clearly wants to kill Kanata in revenge for his killing her father, Cody.
