    The Rainbow Rangers 

Rosie Redd

The leader of the Rainbow Rangers, Rosie is no-nonsense and can be blunt at times. She possesses Strength Power, which gives her super strength, and her Tiara-Visor lets her see through objects.
  • Pink Means Feminine: While her main color is red, she also has a lot of pink to her.
  • Red Is Heroic: Red is her signature color.
  • Standardized Leader: Rosie's only trait in the preview is "The Leader," and she's generally no-nonsense and eager to get things done.
  • The Worf Effect: Her Strength Power often fails to get out of Preston's traps, as he calculated how strong she is and made them stronger.

Mandarin "Mandy" Orange

The cheerleader of the group who is always ready with an inspiring song or speech. She possesses Music Power, allowing her Hypno-Flute to soothe and hypnotize creatures, though it only works once.
  • The Ditz: Her optimism can lead her to completely misunderstand situations, like thinking a cow choking on a balloon is playing with it or wanted to celebrate its birthday.
  • The Heart: Mandy is the cheerleader of the group and boosts morale with songs and speeches.
  • Mind-Control Music: She can charm any creature with her Hypno-Flute's Music Power, but it only works once per living thing.
  • Out of Focus: In season one goes on the least amount of missions, especially compared to Rosie, Anna and Bonnie. Season two rectified this by giving her more missions.

Anna Banana

A sweet, naive girl who loves all animals. She possesses Animal Power and can connect with them easily, and her Mr. Stuffie Wuffie toy is irresistibly cute.
  • Dumb Blonde: Anna is often the last to pick up on things and comically misinterprets things at times.
  • Friend to All Living Things: She can talk to animals easily and loves to care for them, and the animals love her back in return.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Her default hairstyle.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: Her power is Animal Power, allowing her to talk to animals and speak their language.

Pepper Mintz

A shy, bookish girl with a great deal of knowledge. She possesses Inviso Power, allowing her Shimmer Shawl to turn her and anything else wrapped in it invisible.
  • Invisibility: Her Shimmer Shawl can turn herself and things around her invisible.
  • Out of Focus: In season one she goes on far less missions than Anna, Rosie, and Bonnie. Season two rectified this, like with Mandy.
  • Punny Name: Pepper's name is a pun on peppermints.
  • The Smart Guy: Pepper is a shy bookworm with a lot of knowledge.
  • Visible Invisibility: When she turns invisible, she becomes a glowing transparent outline so viewers can see where she is.

Bonnie "B.B." Blueberry

A logical girl who thinks like a computer, Bonnie isn't good at understanding jokes but has a brilliant mind. She possesses Vision Power, allowing her to see faraway objects, and her Construct-O-Max lets her construct just about anything.

Indigo "Indy" Allfruit

A snarky, hyperactive prankster who always has a joke or two ready. She possesses Speed Power, allowing her Super Sonic Rainbow Sneakers to let her move extremely fast.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: Indigo tends to act first and think later, often rushing into danger.
  • Super-Speed: Her superpower is Speed Power, allowing her to go super fast with her Super Sonic Rainbow Sneakers.

Lavender LaViolette

A dramatic, showboating fashionista with an eye for danger. She possesses Micro Power, allowing her Flitter Flower to shrink her to the size of a butterfly and grant her wings.

Kalia

The Spirit of the Rainbow, Kalia calls the Rangers to action when she sees trouble in the world. She acts as the girls' mentor and mission control, selecting which Ranger is best suited to each mission.
  • Combo Platter Powers: Kalia's powers are seemingly endless, and she can do all the Rangers can and more.
  • Mission Control: Kalia's role is to identify a mission and select the best Rangers for said mission.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Kalia can do just about anything, but never goes on missions herself.

Floof

The Rainbow Rangers' pet Prismacorn. Floof is clumsy but always eager to help out, and can project things from his horn.
  • Kid-Appeal Character: Floof can only say his name and acts as a clumsy, cute Team Pet. Promotional material wanted him to be the next Baby Groot in appealing to children.
  • The Klutz: Floof can be very clumsy and usually has a comical way of exiting his pet door.
  • Nice Guy: Despite being clumsy at times, Floof is a friendly & loyal unicorn.
  • The One Guy: He's the only male character on the side of good.
  • Pokémon Speak: He only communicates by usages of his name.
  • Rainbows and Unicorns: He's a unicorn with a rainbow mane and tail.

    Villains 

Preston Praxton

A materialistic, selfish man who often endangers the environment, whether accidentally or on purpose. He always has booby traps at hand to keep the Rainbow Rangers at bay, but sometimes they have to save him from his own schemes.
  • Made of Iron: Preston can survive things that really should have killed him, like being flung from a tornado into a net.
  • Obliviously Evil: Sometimes he damages the environment by accident.
  • Papa Wolf: He gets very defensive when he thinks the Rangers are bothering Patty.
  • Save the Villain: He's had to be rescued frequently from his own misguided plans.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Preston has endangered himself and his daughter numerous times, including going out on a raft in the middle of a storm and swimming in a pool where an alligator is.
  • Villain Exclusivity Clause: Lampshaded in "The Air Up There" when Lavender initially thinks to not blame Preston, only to discover he's behind the trouble and wonder if he is responsible for every bad thing happening on Earth.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: With one exception in "Rangers in Space," Preston's traps are meant to keep the Rangers out of his way, not harm them.

Patty Praxton

Preston's daughter. She is spoiled and entitled, but is on better terms with the Rangers and isn't all bad. Patty often has to learn when she or her father are doing the wrong thing.

Priscilla Praxton

Patty's aunt who first visits during the holidays. She bears a strong resemblance to the other Praxton family members and has the attitude to match.
  • Distaff Counterpart: To her brother, Praxton, in looks, personality, and scheming.
  • Sibling Rivalry: She competes with her brother to win Patty's affections and take down the Rangers.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Aunt Priscilla looks, sounds, and acts almost exactly like Preston, just with a wig and beauty mark. Lampshaded in "Spooky Costume Party" when Preston dresses up as her and barely changes at all.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Like her brother, Priscilla has recklessly endangered herself numerous times in pursuit of fashion, such as approaching an angry bison to put a tiara on its head.

The Poacher

A poacher who appears in "Divided We Fall" trying to capture a mother and baby elephant.
  • Determinator: He is not quick to give up on accomplishing his goals, escaping Bonnie's cage and having chains, a cage, and a truck ready to take the animals away.
  • Evil Poacher: He's after the mama elephant for her tusks and the baby to sell to a circus.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: He's held at bay when Floof sprays gumdrops at him, claiming he hates them.

Brooklyn

A snobby friend of Patty's who visits her birthday party. Patty's desire to impress her led her to smuggle sugar gliders into the country illegally.
  • Rich Bitch: She checks out Patty's party ahead of time to see if it's worth attending and is unimpressed by her decorations and other activities.
