"...When my mom's reign begins, your ship town will NOT be forgotten."

Despite being intelligent and powerful, she lacks confidence due to her mom's constant belittling nature. When angered, she tends to puff up her face. This intimidation tactic has thus far never worked.

  • Action Girl: Thanks to her mom's training, Puffer's not bad in a fight.
  • Animal Motifs: Puffer Fish. She even puffs up her face when she feels threatened.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Puffer idolizes her mom and wants to impress her. Unfortunately, her mom is Sharon White, whose personality leaves a lot to be desired.
  • Nervous Wreck: Puffer is a 15-year old who has confidence issues and gets manipulated by her mom. It's rough.

     Clarissa Wrasse

"Okay, Puffer, we should probably look out for each other until we get back."

Clarissa's not a fighter, but she's less naive about people than Puffer, as she wasn't as sheltered. Often helps her dad with chores around the ship.

  • Action Survivor: Clarissa isn't trained to fight like some other characters, but she doesn't shy away from helping out.
  • Animal Motifs: Cleaner Wrasse.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Clarissa can deliver some cutting comebacks.
  • The Everyman: Compared to the rest of the cast. Clarissa lives on a world covered in water, but she's had a normal upbringing and hasn't interacted with any of the more fantastical characters until the start of the story.

     Sharon White

Sharon White

"I really have to apologize for my daughter. When she's not embarrassing herself, she's embarrassing ME!

Puffer's mom. She's a genius inventor with a robot army who wants to rule the world. Sharon is controlling, paranoid, and has narcissistic tendencies, often belittling her child's abilities. She thinks she's hilarious, an opinion shared by no one else.

  • Action Mom: As shown when she defeats Killer Whale in the beginning, Sharon can fight if she has to.
  • Abusive Parents: She often demeans and insults her daughter, passing such behavior off as harmless joking.
  • Animal Motifs: Great White Sharks. Her robot soldiers and warships are also styled after Great Whites.
  • Evil Genius: She created the Storm Machine for Lord Jel and also created a mechanical army for herself.
  • Pet the Dog: While working under Lord Jel, she refused to use the Storm Machine to kill innocents. There are also moments that make it clear that she unconditionally loves her daughter. Unfortunately, her way of expressing this is very unhealthy.
  • Troubled Abuser: Her treatment of her daughter is way out of line, but she grew up working for Lord Jel, the most evil being in the world. She doesn't really know any healthy way to express love.
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: Sharon believes that with her genius guiding the world, things would improve.

     Killer Whale

Killer Whale

"If it's human, there may be a ship settlement nearby. Then... we can have some FUN."

An enforcer for Lord Jel known only as Killer Whale. This dangerous pirate patrols Planet Aqua in his submarine. Killer Whale might style himself as a powerful warrior, but he's really a petty bully who prefers fighting helpless people.

  • Animal Motifs: Orcas, obviously. His submarine also looks like an Orca.
  • Bad Boss: Kills one of his underlings for stealing his lines.
  • Cool Sword: He wields a black and white scimitar sometimes.
  • Freudian Excuse: Like Sharon, he worked under Lord Jel even as a child. Small wonder he turned out the way he did.
  • Laughably Evil: He has moments of levity.
  • The Dragon: Lord Jel's most notable servant. He does whatever Lord Jel tells him to do.
  • The Sociopath: Killer Whale is pretty eager to commit violence for his master.
  • Wolverine Claws: He can use his clawed gloves to slash people.

     Lord Jel

Lord Jel

"I have ruled this world once, and I shall do so again."

The evil overlord whose magic flooded the world. Is he an alien? A robot? A wizard? No one knows, but this immortal being has no pity or patience for anything that would stop his domination of Planet Aqua.

  • Animal Motifs: Jellyfish.
  • Bad Boss: He is not a forgiving leader.
  • Big Bad: Lord Jel is responsible for the current state of the world. It was flooded centuries ago by him.
  • Evil Overlord: He commands a vast army and seeks to rule the world again.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Lord Jel is taken very seriously by other characters and has no comedic traits.
  • The Faceless: In the beginning of the story he is hidden in the shadows, with only faint details of his body visible.
