Playable Characters

    Pradheep
Pradheep, the main protagonist

  • Affectionate Nickname: Has multiple including, Prad, Praddy, and Pradley.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Pradheep is reluctant (at best) to go on his continent saving adventure and often mentions how many better things he could be doing, such as playing Role-Playing Games by himself at his house.
  • The Leader: By default, Pradheep is the party leader, although the player can actually choose any party member to have this position.
  • Squishy Wizard: Being of the wizard class, Pradheep has relatively low defense and cannot wear armor.
  • Black Mage: Pradheep can learn a variety of damaging spells, most notable are ones involving fire.

    Sarah
Sarah, a priestess

    Conor
Conor, a knight

  • Likes Older Women: Implied by him and Joey. Exhibited when he flirts with the older sister of the boy who was lost in the forest.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: Though not as perverted as Ethan, Conor makes some off-color comments as well. Unlike Ethan he actually helps women for the sake of it before expecting anything in return.
  • Knight in Sour Armor: Like most of the characters, Conor is pretty nihilistic. Despite his mostly bleak view of the world he still fights for what is right. Is also actually the Knight class.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: Subverted: While he is the party member who uses swords is not (by default) the leader of the group.
  • 24-Hour Armor: Always wears armor, even immediately before or after spending a night at the inn.

    Joey
Joey, a paladin

  • The Lancer: Figuratively and literally. Of the party members, he speaks the most besides Pradheep, usually playing off of him. In addition, he actually uses lances and spears as his weapons.
  • Captain Obvious: Fills this role throughout much of the game.
  • 24-Hour Armor: See Conor.
  • The Paladin: Literally.
  • Combat Medic: Can cast healing spells, though not as well as Sarah.
    Jason
Jason, a bard.

  • Soapbox Sadie: Proclaims his own "social liberal values" as his motivation for going along on the quest. Slight invoking of Straw Atheist and Straw Feminist as well.
  • Quirky Bard: Jason plays some music that is not usually associated with a bard. For example, when the party sails on the ocean, he plays Ocean Man by Ween. Also see Elegant Classical Musician.
  • Gentleman Snarker: Occasionally makes jokes about others, usually involving one or the other's musical skills.
  • Crutch Character: At the time of his recruitment, Jason is one of the most powerful party members. However, later in the game, he becomes something of a liability, especially when Ethan shows up and Pradheep gains better items.
  • Optional Party Member: It is not required to recruit Jason, although Joey recommends that the player does.

    Ryan
Ryan, an archer

    Ethan

Ethan, a samurai

    Mike
Mike, a monk

    Jwong
Jwong, a thief

  • Asian and Nerdy: Everyone is surprised to see that Jwong was Smellinore's intelligent spy, expect for Jason.
Jason: Oh I called it. I knew Jwong would have to be a spy.
    Pradheep: Why is that?
Jason: Because he is so good at memorizing info. Just look at his standardized test scores.
  • Gentleman Thief: Thief class and dressed in a suit.
  • Old Retainer: Implied to have served Queen Smelinore for quite some time and is the head of her espionage team.
  • Only Knownby Their Nickname: His real name is Justin but most characters refer to him by his nickname Jwong.

    David
David, a dark mage

    Tori
Tori, a sage

Allies to Pradheep
    Queen Ellie

    Prince Paul

  • Idle Rich: Played straight. Literally does nothing but stand in the library of the castle the whole game.
