    Mika 

The titular "Heartless Boundary Witch"", a young girl who seeks her heart on her 500 year journey.

    Lumiere 

Mika's companion, who takes on the form of a sturdy lantern.

    Ritsuka 

A magician's apprentice who later joins Mika and Lumiere, in order to become more experienced with magic, with Mika as his teacher.

  • Bishonen
  • Forced Transformation: His transformed state is a cute little mouse
  • Shapeshifting Excludes Clothing: When Ritsuka transformed back into a human for the first time in 200 years, this occurs.
  • Lethal Chef: More like, lethal magician's apprentice. Ritsuka's unable to create potions and medicines without having them explode.
  • So Proud of You: Master Laurise, the magician that taught and raised Ritsuka, says this right before he turns into flower petals at the end of the Mirror of Thorns arc.
  • Younger Than They Look: Even though he appears to be around Lumiere's age, Ritsuka's a minor - explaining to Lumiere as the reason that he can't order beer for him.

    Horloge 

A mysterious child that is connected to the twins somehow.

  • I Lied: Says this word for word in Chapter 42, explaining to the group that Mika wasn't the twin who wasn't supposed to live, but Nina.
  • Meaningful Name: Their name is the French word for "clock"
  • Physical God: They're the spirit of the lake of Mika's hometown.
  • Resurrective Immortality
  • Sharing a Body: In Chapter 40, Horloge explains that he went into Risa's (the mother of Nina and Mika) womb and resided in Mika in order for Mika's heart to continue beating. See I Lied
  • Three Wishes

    Nina 

Mika's little sister, the one who took Mika's heart in the first place.

  • Mad Love: The reason that Nina stole Mika's heart in the first place
  • Older Than They Look: Like Mika, Nina has been living, and waiting for her, for over 500 years. Despite this, she looks like a teenager.
  • One Twin Must Die: At first, it's revealed that Mika's the one who should've died in utero, however, Horloge lied and reveals that Nina was the one who wasn't supposed to live.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: Mika, was the older, more outgoing twin, and Nina was the shy, younger one. In the past, they constantly pulled a Twin Switch on the staff.
  • Psychic Children: Although twins, Nina was the one who inherited their mother's ability to predict the future.
  • Tears of Remorse: Nina sheds these tears while she apologizes to Mika for making her suffer.
  • Winged Humanoid/ Our Fairies Are Different: Nina gaining wings was a result of Horloge's powers having an effect on her, since she was their vessel after all.
