Officer Shinsou

An exasperated but well-meaning police officer who constantly meets with Yuugi during public villain attacks. Her Quirk is Attention Grabber.

  • By-the-Book Cop: As exhausting as it is dealing with Yuugi being a Weirdness Magnet, she's at least courteous enough to help him during those moments.
  • Mass Hypnosis: Downplayed. Her Quirk allows her to gain the control the attention of large crowds of people. This helps her direct the masses to avoid current villain attacks or establishing perimeters.

Shougi Muto

Yuugi's mother who used to work in computers. She died because of a villain attack leaving her son under her father's care. Her Quirk is Weakness Detection.

  • Attack Its Weak Point: Shougi's Quirk allows her to pinpoint the weak spots of any type of machinery.
  • Dating What Daddy Hates: Inverted. Even though she and Kyuudai had a loving relationship, his family did not approve of her because he couldn't improve their clan's political power with her standing. And while Sugoroku was fairly accepting of her marrying Kyuudai, his opinion of him soured after he chose to abandon Yuugi on the grounds of not wanting to raise an autistic child.

  • Named In The Adaptation: Unlike in canon where she's nameless, she's given the name Shougi.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: Her father recounts a time she orchestrated a cybernetic attack on a Support company after one of the sidekicks made offensive remarks about Mental Quirk users without proper consequences.
  • Post Humous Character: She's already dead by the time Yuugi befriends Izuku.
  • Techno Wizard: When she was alive, she had a job operating computer programs. She was even clever enough to stage a cybernetic attack on a major Support company that only she could resolve.

Anzu Masaki

A childhood friend of Yuugi. Along with being upbeat and friendly, she has a righteous attitude and won't stand for injustices. Her Quirk is Light Show.

  • Badass Adorable: She has no trouble fighting against jerks and bullies as a way of protecting her friends or teachers. She also enjoys hanging out with her girlfriends and dreams of being a professional dancer.
  • Bully Hunter: She isn't afraid to stand up to or even beat up classmates who hurt others.
  • Demoted to Extra: Anzu isn't involved in the storyline. Word of God has stated so since they have many other characters to work with and Anzu isn't interested in applying to Yuuei.
  • The Friends Who Never Hang: Despite her and Yuugi being Childhood Friends who go to the same school(s), the two rarely interact in the story or make the time to hang out outside of school.
  • Light 'em Up: Her Quirk involves creating light that emits from her body whenever she moves alot.
  • Love Interest: Subverted. Neither she or Yuugi have romantic feelings for each other. However, Tanaka-ba reveals to Yuugi that Izuku has a secret crush on her.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Downplayed. Anzu isn't Yuugi's girlfriend (just a friend who happens to be a girl) but she's more than willingly to fight anyone who would even think about hurting him. She even expresses eagerness in punching Tokage if he gives Yuugi trouble.

    Inko Midoriya

Inko Midoriya

Izuku's thoughtful mother who helps to watch over his friends when they come to visit. Her Quirk is Small Objects Attraction.

  • Locked Out of the Loop: She doesn't know about her son's inherited Quirk along with his destiny as All Might's protégé.
  • Mind over Matter: She has short-ranged telekinesis.
  • Parental Obliviousness: Averted. Izuku eventually comes clean about his bullying problem to Inko so she helps him transfer to a different class and later to the same middle school as his friends.

  • Secret-Keeper: He knows about All Might's true identity along with the secrets of One For All.

Winged Ra

Tanaka-ba's cherished Turkish Angora. He has a grim reputation as a devil cat because he likes to cause trouble for everyone who isn't his master or Yuugi.

  • Atrocious Alias: He originally was called "Mega Ultra Chicken" by a stabby villain named Millennium Steve.
  • Badass Adorable: As troublesome as he is, Ra is also known to have protected Tanaka-ba from a home invader. Whether he injured the burglar, killed him or ate him is still up for debate.
  • Cats Are Mean: The poster cat of this trope. Along with hunting animals and prized koi fish, he also has a habit of peeing on people's shoes or filling them with dead rats. It's also made clear that he respects no one except Tanaka-ba and Yuugi.

  • Badass Adorable: A young cat who manages to scratch out the Hero Killer Stain in an effort to protect Yuugi.
  • Cute Kitten: From his birth, Kuriboh managed to steal Yuugi's heart for how adorable he was.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Him attacking Stain results in him getting a serious slash. But Aizawa assures Yuugi that he'll live to tell the story of his new battle scars.
  • Meaningful Name: Yuugi names him Kuriboh since his brown fur reminded him of a Japanese chestnut, which is called "kuri".

Introduced in Book 2

    Tsunako

Tsunako

A cut-throat leader of a yakuza group who is also a close acquaintance of the Muto family. Her Quirk is Unknown.

  • Disproportionate Retribution: Jounouchi mentions that she breaks the arms of people who cheat at pachinko.
  • Genre Savvy: She's fully aware of how All Might's retirement will revamp lines between heroes, villains and her yakuza organization as the former two begin to attack everyone for their own interests.
  • The Ghost: Tsunako was only mentioned by Yuugi in Book 1 Chapter 10 and makes a formal appearance in Book 2.
  • Grey-and-Grey Morality: She frequently explains to Yuugi that yakuza don't identify as either heroes or villains but as their own group. • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite her hostile nature, she is quite courteous to the Mutos who attend to her requests and offers her services to them when needed.

  • The Rival: She has bad blood with a rival yakuza gang. You know them as the Shie Hassakai.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: She only has one scene in the first chapter but she sets up the underlying issue of how All Might's inevitable retirement will result in dramatic changes for everyone.
  • Yakuza: Her prime occupation and proud of it.

    Rakugaki

Rakugaki

A mellow underling working under Tsunako. His Quirk is Unknown.

  • Berserk Button: He turns physically violent towards Yuugi after he mentions the name All For One.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite his dedication to the yakuza lifestyle and the crimes he gets involved with, he refuses to have any association with All For One.
  • Fingore: It's mentioned that he's missing a few fingers. No doubt from his early years as a yakuza.
  • Killed Offscreen: In Chapter 19, he's confirmed dead via overdose. Yuugi finds this odd since he never had a positive view towards drugs/steroids apart from smoking.
  • Number Two: Heavily suggested given his history as a yakuza and how he relays orders from Tsunako to the other members of their yakuza division.
  • Pet the Dog: He treats Yuugi with sincere courtesy given his services to Tsunako and their group. He also goes out of his way to protect Izuku and Jounouchi for being close friends to him.
  • Smoking Is Cool: He has a habit of smoking everywhere.

The First Ones Chapter 12 Spoilers

The Past Holders of One For All

A league of heroes who were entrusted with the power of One For All and gave up their lives in the war against All For One. After Toshinori transferred One For All to Izuku, Yuugi was able to access their Realm through his friend's mindscape and interact with them.

  • Ambiguously Related: Higake, the one with scars and blonde hair, is frequently described as having purple eyes. Something that is commonly shared with the Yuuki Clan.
  • Bullying a Dragon: The Third tries to manhandle Yuugi on the second visit regardless of how much damage he can inflict.
  • Get Out!: Frequently tell this to Yuugi and Yami whenever they invade their mindscape unannounced.
  • Goal in Life: They exist to guide the present holder of One For All to defeat the Emperor of Darkness.
  • Hive Mind: Downplayed. They each have their own personalities and thoughts, but they manage to have in-synch reactions whenever a serious topic is brought up.
  • Invisible to Normals: To the average person, no one can tell they exist if they looked at All Might or Izuku. But for an Empathy Quirk user like Yuugi, their colorful presence can be detected by looking at their auras.
  • The Leader: Yoichi, the creator of One For All, serves as the designated leader of the Past Holders.
  • Legacy of the Chosen: Much like Izuku, each one was chosen to carry the torch of One For All and use it's power for the greater good.
  • Numerical Theme Naming: They refer to each other by their respective number (Eight for Toshi and Ninth for Izuku).
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: They are remnants of the Previous Holders who were killed by the King of Villains and reside in the mindscape of whoever is the Current Holder. They retain the same memories and personalities of the Holders and have ethereal bodies.
  • Spirit Advisor: Invoked. After learning that All For One still lives along with Yuugi's threat of eradicating them if they hurt his best friend, the Holders decide to make their presence known to Izuku much faster so they can begin training him with their Quirks. Starting with Banjo's Black Whip.
  • Your Mind Makes It Real: As Yuugi learns, any harm they inflict onto him is transferred to his physical body.

  • Barefoot Captives: Was introduced to Yuugi without any shoes.
  • Fangirl: She thinks of Yuugi as her new hero after he saved her from the Eight Precepts.
  • Happily Adopted: She ends up in Aizawa's care after her rescue and is definitely happier with him compared to living with Overhaul.
  • Healing Hands: As part of her Rewind Quirk, she can undo any grievous injuries done to the human body. This is best shown when she heals Rishid after he received a deadly stab wound.
  • The Runaway: Just like in canon, she leaves Overhaul's mansion to escape her nightmare. She succeeds on the first try.
  • Semantic Superpower: Her Quirk allows her to reverse anyone or anything to it's original state. The Eight Precepts have exploited this by making bullets that can erase a person's Quirk.
  • Troubled Child: A poor girl who was experimented on by yakuza villains to carry out their genocidal plans.
