    Lamput
A blob of unknown substance who was created in a lab accident and escaped. He is the docs' main bounty, but uses his shapeshifting ability in a bid to sidetrack them.

  • The Artifact: The fact that he's orange is an artifact of how Lamput, the series, was intended to be pitched to Nickelodeon India.
  • Blob Monster: Lamput is an amorphous orange blob that is constantly on the run from the scientists trying to return him to their laboratory. "Monster" might be a bit much in this case since Lamput is friendly to most (even the docs sometimes).
  • Creating Life Is Unforeseen: Lamput's birth is seen in "Origins". He forms in a beaker after an accident where young students Fat Doc and Slim Doc ruin a science experiment their teacher and future boss is working on.
  • Cute Monster: He's a shapeshifting amorphous monster, yet he barely looks harmful at all, enough that the only reason the Docs go after him is to capture him and put him in the lab they work for. Even the docs themselves feel pity for him when he gets a fracture.
  • Escaped from the Lab: Lamput escaped from a laboratory, and the two docs are trying to capture him so that they can return him to the lab.
  • Homeless Hero: Lamput, being a creature that escaped from the lab and forced to be constantly on the move, has no real location to call his home. He sleeps on rooftops and tries to find shelter wherever he can, even if that place happens to be the Docs' residence.
  • Nice Guy: Quite the friendly blob. He'll even be nice to his pursuers.
  • Orange/Blue Contrast: He's the orange part of the contrast, with the docs, the villains, being gray-blue.
  • Shapeshifter Identity Crisis: Despite his outwardly jovial appearance, Lamput might have one; in "Prison Cell", if you pay close attention to the writings Lamput has made on the wall of his prison cell, there is writing that reads "Dear wall, after years of shapeshifting.. I doubt if this is my original form.."
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Lamput can change the shape of his body into whatever he pleases, an ability that he uses to escape from the docs.
  • Vibrant Orange: Lamput is orange, lively, cheerful, and energetic, being quite quick in running from the docs.

Tropes shared by Fat and Slim Doc
A pair of scientists who work for the lab that Lamput came from. They chase him (in vain) with the objective of bringing him back to the lab.

  • Childhood Friends: The episode "Origins" reveals Fat Doc and Slim Doc have been friends since they were young students at lab school. Even then, though, Slim Doc was originally quite mean to Fat Doc and it took a little while for them to make friends with each other.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Fat Doc and Slim Doc are only known by their profession of being doctors.
  • Fat and Skinny: Slim Doc is thin and Fat Doc is fat, and they work together to try to catch Lamput.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: Fat Doc and Slim Doc are both straight, as Slim Doc has a crush on the female Mrs. Lipstick and Fat Doc only develops a thing for Slim Doc when he mistakes him for a woman on two separate occasions, but the two are very close friends who had their start in grade school and have worked together to search for and capture Lamput ever since.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: The docs are constantly chasing after Lamput and being a jerk to him, but they still somehow genuinely care about him on occasion. The episode "Fracture" in particular has them outright help Lamput for once when he gets a fracture and can't shapeshift properly.
  • Orange/Blue Contrast: They are gray-blue compared to Lamput, the hero, who is orange.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: "Villain" is a bit much, but the only reason the docs chase Lamput is because they are both forced to by the Boss. They're willing to help Lamput and vice versa, and they do care about each other to some extent.
  • Vocal Evolution: Early episodes, mainly the early 15 second ones, gave the Docs deeper voices. They would eventually be shifted to a much higher register, which remained for them.

    Fat/Specs Doc
  • Blind Without 'Em: Fat Doc needs to wear glasses to see clearly. Lamput uses this to his advantage in one episode by repeatedly taking off Fat Doc's glasses and putting them back on to distract him.
  • Eye Glasses: Fat Doc's pupils and sclerae are seemingly contained within the lenses of his glasses. Whenever he is not wearing his glasses, his pupils are the only part of his eyes that are visible.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: He is described as being short-tempered, and he's the first one to start yelling when the docs have a fight in "The Split".
  • Person with the Clothing: He is alternately known as Specs Doc. The doc with the specs.

    Slim/Skinny Doc

    The Boss
The docs' boss... though you probably figured that out already. He is the one who tasked the docs with finding and catching Lamput.

    Mr. Moustache
A yellow man who has nothing but contempt for Fat and Slim, pursuing them due to a personal grudge.

  • Meaningful Name: Mr. Moustache. That doesn't need much explanation, as he has a bushy moustache.
