The characters of Juvenile Orion:
Mana Kirihara
The heroine. Mana returns to her hometown after seven years and hopes to reunite with her childhood friend Kaname, who she holds strong feelings for. She is revealed to be a Mind Breaker.
- Parental Abandonment: Her father died in a car accident seven years ago prior to the story's beginning, and her mother died from an illness a month ago. Mana currently lives with her aunt, Natsume.
Kaname Kusakabe
The male lead of the series. Kaname is the childhood friend of Mana, who has recently returned to Tokyo. Mana is the catalyst that awakens Kaname's powers. A part of Darklore.
Naoya Itsuki
Kaname's best friend. Itsuki is the first to notice Mana's potential as a Mind Breaker. He quickly grows sympathetic towards her. A part of E.G.O.
- Healing Factor: He can manipulate his natural healing process.
- Of course, he usually just uses to cure the side effects of smoking cigarettes.
- Meet Cute: When Mana transfers into his class, Itsuki admits Mana is cute, but takes it back after he notices she's "weird". However, he grows to sympathize with her, and it's implied later on into the series that Itsuki has feelings for Mana.
Isshin Shiba
A team member on the same basketball team as Kaname. Shiba is an upperclassman. A part of Arayashiki.
- Love at First Sight: Becomes smitten with Mana after meeting her.
Tsukasa Amou
An amnesiac and introverted young boy who is in the same class as Mana and Itsuki. He was found by Tomonori, who took Tsukasa under his care. A part of Eraser.
- Healing Hands: He is able to heal anyone he wants to by just placing his hands over them.
- The Medic: He seems to be the only one who can heal others.
- While Itsuki does have a Healing Factor, it seems to be very limited, which given the trope is quite unusual. So he actually needs Amou to heal him more often than you might think
Tomonori Nakaura
A teacher at the school and Tsukasa's guardian. He found an injured Amou and nursed him back to health; ever since then, they have been living together. A part of Wiz-Dom, and also a (apparently) Roman Catholic priest.
