The main character. An average young man who found himself in an alternate world. Fusing with Karama the kraken in order to survive, he pledges to help and protect Zeina until she frees herself.
  • Boxing Lessons for Superman: Getting almost killed fighting the Kouza brothers made him realize he was Unskilled, but Strong, so he asks the defeated Kouza brothers to train him as a warrior.
  • Came Back Strong: Went from a regular human to someone who can turn into a Kraken Warrior and can easily match assassins.
  • Chameleon Camouflage: Like a regular squid or octopus, he can alter the pigmentation of his skin to become almost completely transparent.
  • Chick Magnet: Zeina, Maryam and Polina all develop feelings for him, and several female inmates want his services either because they want to be stronger, or just because they like it.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: He clearly enjoys the sex and the perks of his power, but he never abuses his authority and treats the girls well enough.
  • Combat Tentacles: The main use of his kraken powers. He can sprout them from his back or turn his limbs into tentacles too.
  • Instant Armor: He can turn to his kraken mode within seconds.
  • Living Aphrodisiac: His blood and the fluids of his kraken parts are very alluring for females.
  • Not Quite Flight: He can use jets of water to propulse himself in the air and match Griffin in the sky.
  • Sex God: While at first he was clearly inexperienced, with enough practice he leaves the women he pleases wanting for more.

    Zeina Sebek

Formerly a princess of the Kingdom of Sebek, she was framed for the murder of her father and sent to the Sea Bastille.
  • Fallen Princess: Framed for the murder of her father and sent to a prison well-known for hosting Gladiator Games.
  • Good Is Not Soft: She's a really nice person, but she will not hold back when she's facing an opponent. She demonstrates by slicing through a gigantic tiger in a single slash.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She's blonde haired and a total sweetheart to those she trusts.
  • Hidden Depths: She likes drawing (In Fist of the North Star style) and somehow is very good at card games.
  • Master Swordsman: Thanks to her father's training she's completely skilled with her sword.
  • Navel-Deep Neckline: When training or in her cell, she wears a white dress open to show her cleavage.
  • Pretty Princess Powerhouse: Former princess of Sebek and is capable of beating opponents with a single slash.
  • Riches to Rags: Went from a princess and queen candidate to an inmate with the lowest starting rank in the Sea Bastille.

  • Cute Little Fangs: She's occasionally shown with a snaggletooth.
  • Fantastic Arousal: Her horns are quite sensitive as Kuuma finds out.
  • Hot-Blooded: She can't help but rush into battle without any care. It takes a losing streak for Maryam to agree with Kuuma she needs to keep a cool-head in battle.
  • Leotard of Power: Her default outfit is a red leotard.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: She's the literal Red Oni to her cellmate Polina's Blue.
  • Tsundere: Becomes this for Kuuma once she develops feelings for him.

    Polina
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/17102744655107310849541126850560.jpg
A Dark elf scientist sentenced to 7 years for destruction of private property by explosion.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Color pages show she has green eyes and green hair.
  • Expository Pronoun: Refers to herself as "Polina-Sama", a rather narcissistic way to call yourself, which highlights her confidence.
  • Friends with Benefits: Even after having sex with Kuuma and growing to like him, she tells him they're not dating but are still friends.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: She's clearly the Blue to her cellmate Maryam's literal Red Oni.
  • Third-Person Person: She uses a pretty arrogant version by referring to herself as "Polina-sama"

The Warden of the Sea Bastille, who takes an interest in Kuuma and his transformation for her own ends.
  • Affably Evil: She's generally polite and even reasonable to Kuuma, but utterly ruthless when dealing with defiance.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: She clearly has her own plans for Kuuma, but what it is remains mysterious.
  • Wardens Are Evil: She's the warden of the Sea Bastille and is an insidious woman with a strong interest in Kuuma.

    Ghassan
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/17102756174083358110141980495302.jpg
The head prison guard of Sea Bastille. Like other male guards besides Kuuma, he's been neutered.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: He's first seen in the very first chapter before being formally introduced a few chapters later.
  • Eunuchs Are Evil: Subverted. He might be the prison guard of a ruthless prison, but he's reasonable with Kuuma.
  • Large and in Charge: He's the biggest guard seen so far and is only below Isis in authority.

    Panya
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/17102744058087439452965877045077.jpg
A Dwarf prison guard who brings Kuuma to the Sea Bastille when he finds himself lost.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: She doesn't have the strongest bladder control. First she pees herself when Isis almost sentences her to death, and later she wets herself again when she realizes they're going against the Kouza brothers.
  • Dirty Coward: She's pretty weak-willed, easily cowed and would rather play dead and flee than fight.
  • Easily Forgiven: Kuuma doesn't hold a grudge towards her for tricking him and letting an inmate have her way with him, mostly because that's how he obtained his powers.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Ties her hair in huge pigtails that highlight her childishness.
  • Weak-Willed: She clearly has little strength in opposing getting turned into the dog of a prisoner.

Other Inmates

    Litang
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/17102756547796932556290557796459.jpg

  • You Need to Get Laid: One of her friends told her she needed to loosen up and get herself a man, so she asked Kuuma to be that man. Kuuma happily complies.

    Urfa

A B-Rank Dwarf inmate who uses calculations in conjuction with her attacks.

    Issel
An A-Rank inmate who fights using trickery and illusions.
  • Combat Pragmatist: She's a competent swordswoman, but her strength comes from her illusions, trickery and the occasional Crocodile Tears.
  • Freudian Excuse: Her father was a jerkass who would only show up when he needed money from her mother, that she earned by selling her body. That left Issel with a desire to never be seen as a 'loser' like her mother.
  • Karmic Rape: She made a living scamming rich old men out of their money, and intended to seduce Kuuma and then dump him to hurt Zeina, so getting paralyzed and then being used by Kuuma to practice sex positions is a fitting punishment.
  • Master of Illusion: She can create some pretty convincing illusions, even if her opponent knows it's not real.
  • Sex–Face Turn: She actually softens her view on Kuuma when he genuinely compliments her after having sex.
  • Sore Loser: She doesn't take being defeated by Zeina well at all, going as far as trying to seduce Kuuma to get back at her.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Thought it would be easy to kill Zeina due to her status as a rookie, only to get beaten at the arena.

Kingdom of Sebek

  • Defeat Means Friendship: After being defeated and captured, they're given to Kuuma by Isis to serve as his summonable mooks, and they don't hold a grudge towards him.
  • Family of Choice: They might be of different species but they consider each other brothers.
  • Fighter, Mage, Thief: Sousaku is the fighter, Hud the mage and Yaqeen the thief.
  • An Offer You Can't Refuse: Isis offered them to either be executed for their past crimes or become Kuuma's servants. They chose the latter option.

    Griffin
