Clan Joestar

     Clan Joestar
  • The Clan: Internationally powerful wizard family, part of the high tiers of wizard society.
  • Like a Son to Me: The Potters were old friends of the Joestars, and James and Lily Potter were like family. Barely into his introduction, Jonathan is mentioned as having a grandfatherly attitude towards Harry, and the invitation letter shows a lot of concern for Harry's well being.
  • Properly Paranoid: Gives Harry a letter through unconventional means and asks that he not reveal it's contents. The letter reiterates how Harry is being monitored and that the headmaster is controlling who he interacts with.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifter: The clan members possess some kind of hound shapeshifting ability, but Kujo's conversation with McGonagall implies its not any Animagus-type ability.
  • Wham Line: "We should have never trusted you with Dumbledore."
  • We Used to Be Friends: Broke ties completely with Dumbledore after Snape's trial, though the full circumstances are still unknown. Dumbledore still regards them fondly, but the family lost their trust and respect for him completely.

     Lord Jonathan Joestar
"Lord Jonathan Joestar, at your service."

Chief of the Name to Clan Joestar, extending an invitation to Harry to visit the family over his Christmas break.

The Clan Joestar invites you to read these tropes.

  • The Big Guy: Described as "an absolute mountain of a man".
  • Disappointed in You: His attitude toward Dumbledore after their falling out.
  • The Fettered: From Dumbledore's perspective, this was Jonathan's greatest strength and weakness. He would never be swayed to Voldemort's side- but he also wouldn't be swayed to Dumbledore's.
  • Like a Son to Me: Regarded Lily and James Potter as family, and already treats Harry the same way.
  • Not So Above It All: Unable to simply wait for Harry's arrival, he joins the Joestar carriage as an escort dog just to get a first look at him.
  • The Older Immortal: From the same generation as Dumbledore, even being at least a few years the headmaster's senior.
  • Scars Are Forever: Noted to have prominently scarred hands.

     Professor Kujo

"Yare yare. Don't go around saying things like that. Someone might think you're a good person."

Professor Kujo Jotaro, magizoologist. He becomes Hogwart's Care Of Magical Creatures professor during Harry's third year, under the pretense of wanting to study the forbidden forest.

Class dismissed.

  • Achievements in Ignorance: Doesn't know anything about Harry Potter, aside from the fact that Lily and James were family friends.
  • Badass Teacher: Healed Draco's hippogriff wound in less than a few minutes, and leaped into a Quidditch field's worth of Dementor's to save Harry.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Maintains his stern face and flat voice at all times, even while patching up an injured student, and uses said injury to set an example for other students.
  • Famed In-Story: Already a well-known magizoologist, even being called "The Scamander of the East''.
  • Hot Teacher: A number of students, both female and male, find him attractive.
  • Morphic Resonance: The "guard dog" that finds Sirius on the manner grounds has Kujo's dark curling hair, strong build, and glacial eyes.
  • Odd Friendship: Forms one with Lupin and Hagrid over a mutual interest in magical creatures.
  • Overt Operative: Just your Magical Creatures professor who frequently disappears into the forbidden forest for long periods of time and doesn't interact with the other faculty. The best stories are ones that are true.
  • Psychic Static: Apparently trying to read his mind produces this, possibly as a result of Star Platinum's presence.
  • Punch-Clock Hero: Acting as an extension of the Joestar family's influence in some capacity, even if only minimally.
  • Smoke Out: Fond of a particular brand of magical smoke called "charge water" which destroys magical trails and traces.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifter: Like the other member's of the Joestar family, its all but stated that he can turn into a very large hound.

     Mr. Kakyoin

"I'd hex him if I could, but what are teachers for, if not to protect their students?"

A specialist Healer wizard, brought into Hogwarts to treat exposure damage from the Halloween Dementor attack. Romantically involved with Professor Kujo.

Excuse me, are these tropes full?

The Golden Trio

     Harry Potter

Head of House Potter, a Most Ancient and Noble House. The Boy Who Lived.

Are these going to be our new tropes?

  • Abusive Parents: The Dursley family, who finally get so sick of him they *throw him out* by the second chapter.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: A bit less impulsive and more introspective than his canon version.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: A more mild variant than his canon counterpart, seeking a reprieve from the emotional oddities of his life rather than simply the blatant problems caused by his status.
  • It's All My Fault: Blames himself for the way the Dursley's treated him, an unfortunate Truth in Television tendency for abuse victims.
  • Famed In-Story: He's the Boy Who Lived.
  • Minor Living Alone: Kicked out of the house by Vernon Dursley, a sentence he received gladly.
  • Self-Deprecation: Prone to believing that other people will think the worst of him with the drop of a hat, or that adults will belittle him for showing weakness/needing help.

     Ron Weasley

"I don't care how rich and scary he says his dad is, he makes one more crack at my mum, I'll take his sissy head and-"

Ronald Billus Weasley, sixth and littlest son of the Weasley family.

Oh come off it, not you too.

  • Family Man: His already defensive temper is even more fragile if his family and friends are involved, ready to threaten physical harm. Like Father, Like Son, in some respects.
  • Fiery Redhead: Bit of a prideful attitude. Being the youngest of six can make somebody more prone to fight for whatever scraps you can get.
  • Hero-Worshipper: A little bit towards Professor Kujo, describing his rescue of Harry like the play-by-play of a Quidditch match.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Hermione, always getting into some kind of heated debate with her, to the point that sometimes even Harry can't handle them.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

     Headmaster Dumbledore

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts.

For the greater good.

  • Ambiguously Evil: Lies, manipulates, and uses people as pawns for his end goals.
  • Arc Words: For the greater good.
  • The Chessmaster: At the least, he prefers to surround himself with the type of people he can use as pawns. This is part of the tension between him and Jonathan- the older Joestar couldn't be manipulated as easily.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Holds his authority over Snape to coerce him into doing unsavory tasks, and was implied to be setting up Hagrid to do the same.

     Professor Snape

All the world could burn, but Albus Dumbledore would stay untarnished.

Severus Snape, former Death Eater turned Potions professor.
