Koharu
The primary protagonist with a love of plastic models, she suddenly finds herself thrust into the Girl Gun Fight after assembling the Attack Girl Gun and Alice models.
  • All-Loving Hero: Cares for everyone in the Girl Gun Fight and wants to get out of it without killing anyone if possible. This is deconstructed in that the nature of the fight leads Koharu to end up having to make choices that will result in someone dying, and ultimately she chooses to kill the other teams rather than let one of her teammates die.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: She laments that if her life could be changed by plastic models things would be so much easier. Then she becomes involved in the Girl Gun Fight.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Her pacifism leads the other teams to overlook her and treat her as not being a threat, but when pushed she won't hesitate to defend herself or her teammates.
  • Character Development: Slowly becomes more willing to use force over the course of the series. It starts when she reluctantly kills Natsuki to save Natsuna. An episode later, after learning more about the truth of the Girl Gun Fight and what will happen to Alice if she loses, Koharu resigns herself to the fighting and kills one of the Charlie Tango members later in the episode to defend her teammate.
  • Cool Big Sis: Acts as this to Fuyumi after she joins the fight to replace Natsuna, guiding her through everything and caring for her in place of her now Ret-Gone sister.
  • Drama-Preserving Handicap: After she drops her pacifism completely, a montage shows her performing dominantly in the Girl Gun Fight, including one where she loses her second life, leaving her on her last one by the time of the finals.
  • The Hero: Koharu is the main character of the series and the main one fighting to put an end to the Girl Gun Fight.
  • Nice Girl: Is a timid but sweet girl who is protective of her teammates and tries not to kill anyone, instead preferring to resolve things peacefully.
  • Taking the Bullet: In episode 3 she does this to protect Natsuna.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: Adheres to this philosophy in the beginning, not wanting to kill anyone and even chooses to sacrifice herself rather than kill one of the enemy team members. Later on though, she relents in order to save Natsuna from dying, and eventually gives up on this when she learns that Alice will be destroyed if her team loses.
    Natsuna Usui

Natsuna Usui (3F)

Natsuna
A 3rd year student who has been in the Girl Gun Fight for a while when Koharu is brought in. An accomplished runner in the 800m, she's set to compete in the nationals soon.
  • The Big Girl: Of Alpha Tango, being the most athletic one and the one most willing to get her hands dirty.
  • Character Tic: Firing the Attack Girl Gun Gangsta Style.
  • Drama-Preserving Handicap: She's very athletic, which translates well to the Girl Gun Fight, but she's also on her last life, making her teammates very hesitant to let her go out into the line of fire.
  • Killed Off for Real: Is on her last life, so if she gets killed one more time this will be what happens to her. And she loses her last life in episode 6 when she's killed by Rei.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: Is very devoted to her track practice, and one of her main motivations in the series is making it to the nationals.
  • Tomboyish Ponytail: A fairly straight example that lines up with everything else about her, while also an Identical Twin ID Tag.
    Akiho Inada

Akiho
A 1st year student in Alpha Tango. She spends most of her time outside of class doing experiments in the school science labs.
  • Crocodile Tears: Fakes tears in episode 6 to convince their teacher not to punish them.
  • The Smart Girl: She appears to be the most calculating of Alpha Tango.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Is very aloof on the outside, but on the inside she cares deeply for her friends and teammates, as shown when she is the first to weep over Natsuna's death.
  • Team Chef: Having the science lab to herself means she has everything she needs to make bubble tea - apart from actual cups, maybe.

    Masami Nakazaki

Portrayed By: TOOMI

Masami
A former member of Alpha Tango who was eliminated before Koharu joined the Girl Gun Fight.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: Her death is the reason Koharu is in the Fight in the first place, as she joined to replace her.
  • Posthumous Character: She's dead before the story even starts, though her existence is hinted at at the beginning with an empty desk in the classroom.

    Fuyumi Usui

Matsuko Kadowaki (2C)

Portrayed By: Anna Ishii, Rira Yamamoto (young)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/001_size6_4.jpg
Matsuko
The student council president and an old friend of Koharu who shared her passion for plastic models. She suddenly stopped all related activities a year ago, and stopped being friends with Koharu.
  • The Ace: Is Student Council President, a gifted model builder (even though she's apparently lost interest), an excellent strategist and a borderline One-Man Army on the field.
  • Ambiguously Evil: Is hinted to have her own intentions for joining the Girl Gun Fight, though whether they're truly malevolent or not remains to be seen. For now she's proven to be quite ruthless, though she also appears to avoid trying to kill anyone if necessary.
  • Ambiguous Situation:With the revelation that she is actually the Lady Commander Amatsu, is "Matsuko Kadowaki" an identity formed from whole cloth, or has Amatsu been assuming a real person's identity?
  • Boyish Short Hair: Has her hair cut distinctly short so it doesn't fall below her neck.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: After learning that Sakura, Sumire, and Ran - friends who fought for her sake so she could become human, were sacrificed to make it possible in the first place. She started to view the world as just another plastic model: Everything, including bonds between friends and family, was fake. She even tells Bianca that being human is not that better than being a plastic model.
  • Dragon-in-Chief: After joining Bravo Tango, she refuses to follow any of Bianca's orders and instead manages to sway the other two team members into taking orders from her.
  • Hyper-Competent Sidekick: To Bianca. While Bianca is a General Failure, Matsuko is a skilled field tactician and has a great deal more success operating on her own.
  • Good All Along: Her goal is to win the Girl Gun Fight so that she can gain access to the Game Master and kill him, ultimately putting an end to the Girl Gun Fight once and for all.
  • Meaningful Name: Matsuko -> Amatsu.
  • Out Gambit: In episode 4, she pulls this on Delta Tango in their Nasty Party scheme, anticipating their betrayal and managing to take out two of their members.
  • The Reveal: Episode 8 all but states that she was the Lady Commander who became human after winning the previous Girl Gun Fight - Amatsu.
  • The Rival: Shaping up to be one for Koharu.
  • Sole Survivor: The last remaining member of Bravo Tango after the final game.
    • As being the Lady Commander who became human, she is also the sole survivor of the previous Girl Gun Fight.
  • The Strategist: Is shown to be a gifted field tactician, in contrast to her Lady Commander.
  • Student Council President: Is the president of the student council at Koharu's high school.
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Upon entering the Girl Gun Fight, she goes into combat with the cold precision and emotional detachment of a career mercenary. Justified due to her having watched it all before, as a Lady Commander.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Used to be close friends with Koharu and is the one who taught her how to build models, until she lost interest and grew apart from her.
  • Wham Line: Upon finding the lost orange team within the back room of FFF in Girl Gun world.
"I promise... I will save you."

  • Hidden Disdain Reveal: Screams at Charlotte, who is trying to kill her, that she was always full of it.
  • Sibling Team: With her sister Futaba.
  • Number Two: While Charlotte is the leader of the team, Ichika leads the operations in the field on her behalf.

Lady Commanders

    In General
    Alice

Alice

Portrayed By: Yuuno Ohara

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/001_size6_1.jpg
Alice
The Lady Commander assigned to Alpha Tango, she informs the team members of what the current match will be and advises them on strategy throughout the Fight.
  • Ambiguously Evil: It's hinted early on that she might be more sinister than she appears, given how she kept the nature of the Girl Gun Fight a secret from Koharu in the first two episodes. Though eventually it's revealed she's entirely heroic, and is only looking out for her teammates.
  • Benevolent Boss: Cares deeply for her team members, and wants to keep them all alive if possible. She even helps them escape the arena and uncover the truth about the Girl Gun Fight in episode 6.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Is blue-haired and her team is blue colored, and by far and away the nicest Lady Commander.
  • Frontline General: While she normally stays behind with the other Lady Commanders, she is willing to take to the field if necessary to help her team members.
  • The Leader: Of Alpha Tango
  • A Mother to Her Men: Cares deeply for the schoolgirls under her command and wants to keep them all alive more than anything else. She even weeped when she lost Masami, according to Akiho.
  • Stop, or I Shoot Myself!: Threatens the Game Master that she will kill herself if he doesn't stop sacrificing her teammates.
  • Token Good Teammate: Of the Lady Commanders, she's the only one who's shown to care for her teammates and doesn't seem too thrilled about the Girl Gun Fight either.
    Bianca

Bianca

Portrayed By: Rio Teramoto

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cbbbc5a86fafd085cadfadb52a49e2d3.jpg
Bianca
Bravo's Lady Commander, the team starts disobeying her as things continue.
  • The Alleged Boss: Is technically The Leader of Bravo Tango, though since her strategies are usually ineffective her teammates barely listen to her, and eagerly start obeying Matsuko when she joins the team.
  • General Failure: Her strategies don't seem to pan out very often and usually lead to her teammates getting killed.
  • Hidden Disdain Reveal: Screams at Matsuko while trying to kill her that she has always hated her even to her death. Whether she knows that Matsuko is Amatsu or not is left unclear.
    Charlotte

Charlotte

    Daisy

Daisy

Portrayed By: Sakura Ando

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/001_size6_3.jpg
Daisy
Delta's Lady Commander, and the most outwardly sadistic of the Lady Commander quartet.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Despite being a sadistic Blood Knight, she rarely flinches or gets emotional like the other Lady Commanders. In episode 4 her cool attitude is the first clue Alice gets that something is up.
  • Exact Words: Warned her teammates that if they failed her she would kill them herself. In Episode 9, she does just that to Rei, who was the Sole Survivor of the trio. Also serves as Foreshadowing.
  • The Leader: of Delta Tango.
  • Manipulative Bastard: When she found out the teams were planning a ceasefire, she had her team members throw a party for the other teams and then try to kill them all during it.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Her main colors are red and black and she's the most sadistic of the Lady Commanders.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Delivers one to Bianca after her team receives a Total Party Kill.
"A commander who gets her entire team killed... is no commander at all."
  • Token Evil Teammate: Among the Lady Commanders, she's the only one who's shown to be outwardly sadistic and enjoy the pain and murder of the Girl Gun Fight.
    The Fifth Lady Commander (Spoilers)

Amatsu

The unnamed orange team's Lady Commander, who won the previous Girl Gun Fight. For tropes related to her time as a human, see "Matsuko Kadowaki."
  • A Mother to Her Men: Similar to Alice, she cares deeply for the schoolgirls under her command and wants to keep them all alive more than anything else. After she had become human, as Matsuko she searched for them only for her to learn that they were sacrificed in order for her to become human.
  • Palette Swap: Aside from a white streak in her bangs, her plamo form is a blue and orange version of Alice.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: She was able to become human by winning the Girl Gun Fight. But because it came at the price of sacrificing her teammates who fought for her sake, it became All for Nothing as she would no longer be able to be with them.
