- Not Allowed to Grow Up: With the exception of Kaidanji Sumeragi, this seems to be the case in Hyper Dash! Yonkuro. However, it was revealed in chapter 8 that this is actually a side effect of being brought into an another dimension by the girl of Dogu.

Yonkuro Hinomaru (日ノ丸 四駆郎)

The main protagonist and the leader of the Dash Warriors. When he received the Boomerang Jr. from his father while he was young, he originally thought that Mini 4WD cars are just toys and they are just the piece of craps. That was until his father changed the way he think.Since then, he loves Mini 4WD racing so much that he will join any tournaments no matter what. He is hot-blooded that will challenges anyone who views Mini 4WD cars as purely toys.

Dankuro 'Tankuro' Toda (戸田 弾九郎)

A fat boy who Yonkuro met in the beginning of the story. Called himself as 'The Mini 4WD Prodigy', he's very skillful when it comes to customizes the Mini 4WD cars.Originally, he was a rival to Yonkuro in a local race tournament. This was changed after Yonkuro retrieve the Hotshot Jr. from the sea in a selfless act. He become Yonkuro's best friend after that, and helps Yonkuro in some races.
He is also has big appetite and he usually brings foods to the race tracks.
- Berserk Button: If you are indirectly cost him his car, or seeing you somehow got his friends' car, he will punch you regardless, as poor Akira Omaezaki found out the hard way. (though Tankuro later apolozies)
- Big Eater: Though there was a time where he was sent to the hospital because he ate too much foods during the race.

Shinkuro Minami (南 進駆郎)

Machine uses: Falcon Jr. Custom, Dash-3 Shooting Star, Dash-03 Super Shooting Star, Shooting Proud Star
The thrid member of the Dash Warriors team. When he was young, his parents were divorced and he is taken in by his father while his sister was taken in by his mother.He originally denied Kaidanji's offer and wanted to reach the top of Mini 4WD racing on his own, but after the races with Yonkuro, he discover what friends really are. Since then he befriends Yonkuro and his co. as well as join the Dash Warriors team.
He is very skillful in customizing Mini 4WD car, and is above that of Tankuro's.
- Absurd Phobia: As confident as he is, he was afraid of ghost.
- Awesome, but Impractical: Some of the modifications he made to his car makes it stable and run faster like a shooting star, however it also weaken the chassis's strength due to extensive modifications, as his Shooting Star (With the modified MA Chassis) was shattered to pieces as it ram hard against Yonkuro's Emperor from behind.
- Every Scar Has a Story: The Southen Cross scar on his forehead that only appears while he was in high tension is actually the result of getting hit with a wrench thrown by his sister.

- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: He got slapped by Rinko for being selfish.
- Jerkass: Let's see, he is very rude to strangers, and originally denied Kaidanji's offer to join the race team. However...
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: As he befriends Yonkuro and his co., he become more nicer than before.
- Lonely Rich Kid: The only friends he have are Punkuro and a dog he taking care of, at first.
- Rich Bitch: A male example. He sometimes loses his mind because he cares about his family's money.
Kouji 'Punkuro' Jimi (地味 頁二(パンクロー))

The fourth member of the Dash Warriors team and is the childhood friend of Shinkuro. Usually he wears make-up and brings his guitar with him.Without the make-up, he is weak and shy, but with the make-up, he will shows his strong personality.
- Awesome, but Impractical:
- His Cannonball has the Condenser Circuitry that when used, it sends large amounts of electricity to the motor, causing exceeded performance increases. However, it can be use once per race, and the car's motor will explode after the use.
- The Cannon Dead Ball, unlike the Cannonball example above, is a zig-zagged case; It has the tiny thrusters on the back of each part of the bodyshell, which works similar to the bladeless fan. However, as the center fan is directly linked to the motor, it requires the motor to be running at high rpm, which is impossible as the motor is also connected to the drivetrain, rendering the thrusters useless in uphills. Punkuro however, had already countered this by implement a special gear-change system to his car, which allows the motor speed to be running at constant high RPM at all the time.

- Flipping the Bird: There is one instance where Punkuro give the finger to the thugs who tries to destroy the circuit Shinkuro made in the manga.

Rinko Sumeragi (皇 輪子)

The fifth member of the Dash Warriors team, and is the only female member. She is the little sister of Kaidanji.- Determinator
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: She did this to Shinkuro and later Yonkuro.
- Letting Her Hair Down: Normally spots an Odango, but she lets her hair down more and more often.
Kaidanji Sumeragi (皇 快男児)
Voiced by: Ryūsei Nakao
The coach of the Dash Warriors team, and is the brother of Rinko.He was formerly work as a Formula 1 car designer, but he quit it to work as the navigator for his best friend Genkuro in the Hell Rally race. Unfortunately Kaidanji got injured in the race, so he was sent back to Japan.
By coincident, he met Yonkuro, who has Genkuro's Boomerang Jr. He later founded the Dash Warriors team and participates into the Mini 4WD championship.
- Last-Name Basis: People usually refers him by his family name.
- Scars Are Forever: He got the scar during the Hell Rally he and Genkuro participates into.
- Older and Wiser: Is the oldest of the team.

- The Engineer: Granted, he is a former F1 race car designer.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Earlier in the manga, he catch Yonkuro's Boomerang Jr. from the circuit during the local race progress to see if it is Genkuro's. Yonkuro call him out for that.
Genta (源太)

Machines uses: Dash-W1 Wild Zaurus, Dash-02 Neo Burning Sun, Dash-CBW Command Zaurus
A poor boy who accidentally pick up the Emperor from Yonkuro who drop it. He lose in a race against Yonkuro who borrow Rinko's Dancing Doll.After that he and Musashi follows the Dash Warriors team and even join them as a backup member. After the Dash Warriors won the national championship, he and Tankuro exchages their machines just after the team was disbanded.
- Take Up My Sword: He and Tankuro exchange their machines shortly after the team is disbanded. He uses the Neo Burning Sun throughout the Black Mistral Arc.
- The Engineer: Subverted, as the scratch Emperor he made is instantly shattered to pieces upon landing on the ground.
- The Sixth Ranger: Shared the role with Musashi.
Musashi (ムサシ)
Machines uses: Moby-Dick (customized Clod Buster Jr.)
A boy who residents in the same district as Genta. He uses the Moby-Dick, a customized Clod Buster Jr. Wild Mini 4WD car.After that he and Genta follows the Dash Warriors team and even join them as a backup member.
