The Main Kids
General
- Combat and Support: As the Operators, they fill the Support role, providing their NetNavis with direction, programs, and battle-chips.
- Half-Human Hybrid: Due to triggering dormant ancient Mobini genes due to the energy Megaman released while the boundaries between the Network and Earth had collapsed, all four grew animal traits while losing their original human ears.
- Lan grew hedgehog ears and a tail along with gaining super speed.
- Chaud grew wolf ears and a tail with his physical strength increasing to the point he can effortlessly lift things far heavier than him.
- Maylu gained a mixture of cat and fennec fox traits with the ability to create magenta flames.
- Sean grew fox ears and a tail while his mind seemed to become enhanced.
- Kid Hero: All four of them are around 11 - 12 years of age.
- Spin Attack: The Spin Dash.
Lan Hikari/Netto the Hedgehog
A boy around 12 years old. After stopping Gospel, he grew hedgehog ears and a tail, developing super speed.
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: In the games and most other media, Maylu has a crush on Lan. In this, after the incident with Flameman and Lan hiding in his house in ACDC, Maylu and Lan become a couple.
- All-Loving Hero: Despite how antagonistic the enemies he's faced are towards him (at least initially), Lan never stops trying to help and assist them.
- Berserk Button: Harming his friends and family is an easy way to tick Lan off. Trying to kill Maylu while he’s in FullSynchro with Megaman leads Match, Flameman, and Metal Sonic to be destroyed by DarkSuperStyle Megaman.
- Big Eater: Lan loves his mom’s cooking. On arrival to Mobius, he finished a Sonic Special and wanted to order more.
- Boke and Tsukkomi Routine: The Boke to Megaman's Tsukkomi.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: He finds the homework in his classes to be too easy, actually finding Chaud’s university-level homework ““fun”” of all things. This is why he tends to have lower grades outside of Virus Busting.
- Cursed with Awesome: He has an enhanced body with the ability to run at speeds that break physics, but his close proximity to Maylu while he was awakening his dormant Atlantean genes has caused him to become dependant on sharing a bedroom with her in order to fall asleep.
- Deadpan Snarker: He wouldn't be half of Sonic’s reincarnation if he wasn't cracking jokes in the face of danger.
- 11th-Hour Superpower: He shared one with Megaman after the cheers from the people of Earth and Mobius reach them through Nicole, letting them access the positive energy of the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic
- Heroic BSoD: He has a big one while at the hospital after the Flameman incident. Lan breaks down, puts Megaman in a SubPeT to leave his on Keifune’s desk to keep from being tracked by his badge, and goes into hiding for three days, knowing full well his own ego and pride from being called a hero let Match manipulate him into installing the three programs into the Mr. Progs that led to SciLab becoming a heatsink that left several scientists, especially his father, in the hospital with one dead from Mecha. It takes Maylu admitting she loves him to snap him out of it.
- My God, What Have I Done?: As mentioned above, Lan fell for Match’s trick and led to Sci Lab being put under attack by rising heat levels that led to many scientists, including his father, in the hospital and one killed by Mecha.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: As mentioned above, the Flameman incident where Lan helped Match unknowingly attack SciLab. It led to his father and dozens of other scientists hospitalized, one ““dead””, and WWW getting the final TetraCode.
- Power Glows: After going FullSynchro in Dimensional Areas enough times, he’s started to produce the same energy as in Megaman.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Lan is the Red Oni to both Megaman’s Blue Oni and Maylu’s Blue Oni.
- Rollerblade Good: He used to use these before his super speed came in.
- Sibling Team: Is one with Megaman since they’re twins.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Lan loves curry a whole lot, especially when his mom makes it. He’s started to become fond of Chili-Dogs while on Mobius.
Maylu Sakurai/Meiru the CatFox
Lan’s best friend and neighbor.
- Beware the Nice Ones: She’s one of the kindest of the four, often letting people use her tail as a comfort device, and plays the piano. However, anger her and you’ll be set on fire and pummeled.
- Cat Girl: Well…partial. She also has fennec fox traits mixed into her.
- Cursed with Awesome: She has an enhanced body with the ability to summon and control fire along with heat, but her close proximity to Lan while she was awakening her dormant Atlantean genes has caused her to become dependant on sharing a bedroom with him in order to fall asleep.
- Genki Girl: Shares this with Roll.
- Playing with Fire: She’s developed the ability to produce magenta flames and pulling in heat from her surroundings.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Maylu is the Blue Oni to Lan’s Red Oni.
- Relationship Upgrade: Became a couple with Lan after the Flameman incident.
Chaud Blaze/Enzan the Wolf
Lan’s main rival.
- Berserk Button: Bring up the N1 Grand Prix and he’ll destroy something in his rage.
Sean Obihiro/Shun the Fox
Former leader of the NetMafia Grave. Lan helped him become a good person and is now a close friend of his.
- Catchphrase: “Lan…stop breaking physics!”
The NetNavis
General
- Big Eater: All of them are on their own levels of it.
Word of God says it’s because Network food was made to just simulate food and scientists didn’t realize how much programming was needed to go into it. - Birds of a Feather: All of them enjoy Earth and Mobian food due to how poor Network food tastes. They all also care deeply for the NetOps and will do anything to help them.
- Brought Down to Badass: When they are Mobians, they lose several abilities they had as NetNavis such as BattleChip usage and their basic weapons, but it doesn’t take away what their MobianStyle gives them.
- Combat and Support: As the Navigator, they engage in the combat role, while their NetOps provides support for them.
Megaman.EXE/Hub Hikari/Saito the Hedgehog
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Before leaving for Mobius, Megaman and Roll marry one another so as to have no regrets.
- Dreaming of Times Gone By: Ever since Hub.BAT was installed into him, Megaman has had dreams of Sonic’s past life. He tends to write them down in a dream journal.
- Berserk Button: Trying to harm or kill his friends or family. Match invoked this on himself and ended up facing DarkSuperStyle Megaman for his troubles.
- Fusion Dance: [spoiler:Does one in a way with Lan using the Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic].
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Megaman is the Blue Oni to not only his brother Lan’s Red Oni, but also the Red Oni to Roll’s Red Oni.
- Super Mode: Megaman has access to two:
- HUBStyle Megaman is a power achieved when he and Lan are in perfect synchronization with one another. It was a berserk state until they managed to master it.
- [spoiler:The other is Super Sonic, which comes from him and Lan using the Chaos Emeralds together.]
Roll.EXE
A pink NetNavi
- Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Before leaving for Mobius, Megaman and Roll marry one another so as to have no regrets.
- Berserk Button: Trying to harm or kill her friends. Bubbleman invoked this on himself and ended up facing WukongStyle for his troubles.
- Combat Medic: She’s up for fighting anytime, but also has the power to heal others. It doesn’t work on Mobians as evident by Netto getting burned and her power wouldn’t work.
- Cuddle Bug: Roll’s developed into a lover of all things hugging. Word of God has it that this is because the senses in the Network are dulled and one of the first things Roll had done when the boundaries between the two worlds had collapsed in Kotobuki was hold onto Maylu to try and get her out of the building when she collapsed from the radiation spiking.
- The Medic: She’s a Recov Element NetNavi
- Pink Girl, Blue Boy: The Pink Girl to Megaman's Blue Boy.
- Power Floats: Roll can do this when she’s a NetNavi.
- The Smurfette Principle: She is the only female NetNavi of the four.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Roll is the Red Oni to Megaman’s Blue Oni.
- Super Mode: Roll has access to the powerful WukongStyle that she earned through facing a powerful guardian of Atlantis, however she and Maylu have yet to master PerfectSynchro, meaning the power is sporadic when it appears.
Protoman.EXE/Blues the Wolf
Megaman’s primary rival. His [Mobian Style] is that of a wolf like Chaud’s.
Freezeman.EXE/Frost the Fox
A former member of Gospel who was rebuilt to be Sean’s NetNavi with his MobianStyle being that of a wolf.

Originally an AI, her trip to the Network has caused her to become a NetNavi based on a Mobian Lynx.
- Adaptational Early Appearance: Her physical lynx form is made far earlier than in the comics thanks to Serenade.EXE meeting her when she first arrives in the Network and helps her make a body for herself.
Chaotix
Knuckles the Echidna
An Echidna from Angel Island that went to the Network to find Sonic.
- Power Glows: When Knuckles calls upon the power he obtained from Atlantis, his body crackles with red electricity.
Lien-Da
Knuckles’s SoulTouch and former member of the Dark Legion.
Vector the Crocodile
Third in command of the Chaotix and a strong Crocodile.
Espio the Chameleon
A Chameleon Mobian that is also a ninja.
Charmy Bee
Former royalty of the Bee Hive Colony.
Saffron
Charmy’s girlfriend and future wife through an engagement.
Mighty the Armadillo
An armadillo Mobian and one of the strongest members of the team alongside Knucklesand Vector.
Ray the Flying Squirrel
A flying squirrel Mobian with a stutter that is Mighty’s best friend.

A famous NetBattler and programmer who gives the group his summer home in Green Hills to hide the changes the four human children underwent.
Mamoru Ura
A little boy the group befriended in the hospital
Serenade
Mamoru’s Net Navi and the ruler of the Undernet.
- Big Damn Heroes: Serenade arrives in time to effortlessly beat Metal Sonic when he interferes with Mamoru’s operation.
Dr. Quack
A duck Mobian and doctor in Knothole.
Harvey Who
- Adaptational Early Appearance: Compared to the long break between his first appearance and his return in the comics, Harvey appears far earlier than expected, but is already retired.
Sonic the Hedgehog
The Fastest Thing Alive on Mobius and died prior to the events of the story.
- Cast From Hitpoints: Could heal his body by vibrating his cells to rapidly repair his injuries, but at the cost of shortening his lifespan significantly.
- Death by Adaptation: Died after overusing his ability to vibrate his cells to rapidly heal himself and died inside of the Quantum Dial’s destruction instead of being sent across the universe by the explosion.
- Super Mode: Has the power to become Super Sonic when Lan and Megaman use the seven Chaos Emeralds together. Word of God has it that this is because they’re younger than when Sonic first turned Super Sonic and will happen until they’re old enough to handle the power individually.
Villains
Dr. Wily
An infamous mad scientist who lost to Tadashi Hikari in their youth, causing him to resent the Network that Tadashi Hikari created.
- Big Bad Duumvirate: Was working alongside Dr. Eggman to unleash the Alpha until he was devoured by Alpha and Eggman took over everything.
Dr. Eggman
Formerly Dr. Ivo Robotnik/Julian Kintobor, he is the Dr. Robotnik of another Zone that came to the Prime Zone when he learned the Prime Robotnik had been killed. His systems detected the energy spike Megaman unleashed and found Earth.
- Bid Bad Diuumverate: Shared this with Wily until the Alpha absorbed Wily, letting him take over.
- Hijacked by Ganon: Once Wily was devoured by the Alpha, Dr. Eggman used a machine to absorb the Alpha to make the Alpha Omegga to take over Earth and Mobius.
- Mad Scientist: He’s a genius roboticist that killed his original Sonic then took over in the Prime Robotnik’s place.
Mecha Robotnik
Dr. Eggman’s ‘daughter’ and a powerful android.
- The Dreaded: Unless you’re Freezeman without his limiters of Protoman MuramasaStyle, expect to have a major battle ahead of you.
- Expy: To the Franchise/Terminator, especially when she loses her skin, hair, and clothes.
Metal Sonic
A robotic version of Sonic the Hedgehog originally built by the Prime Robotnik and then Dr. Eggman.
- Ascended Extra: Unlike all the copies that came later on, this Metal Sonic was made by Dr. Robotnik akin to the one in Issue 50 of Sonic Universe minus the Power Gem core.
- Curbstomp Battle: Tends to be on the giving end up. Then he ends up on the receiving end when people like Serenade.EXE or Bass.EXE shows up.
- The Dreaded: When you need something as powerful as HUBStyle, Serenade.EXE, Bass.EXE, or the Double Boost Saito and Roll employed on Mobius to destroy you, then yes, you are dangerous to battle.
Hope.EXE Robotnik
Dr. Eggman’s altered clone of Roll.EXE.
- Power Copying: Has a copy of the GetAbility Program that’s in Bass, first displaying it when she uses it on Drillman.EXE’s data when he is Deleted by Knuckles to escape with the Alpha.
Mr. Match
An agent of the WWW. He was hired by SciLab under false pretenses.
- An Arm and a Leg: Loses an arm and a leg in the aftermath of the assault on the WWW base.
- Berserk Button: Tends to be the one pushing them. He ends up regretting it when he pushes Lan and Megaman too far.
