Video Game Consoles

    Nintendo Switch
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cc_2.PNG
"Let's play games together!"
A very popular hybrid console created by Nintendo.
  • All-Loving Hero: Has no desire to engage in the console wars and just wants to have fun.
  • Badass Adorable: When she sees Xbox prepare to use a Stand to fight Playstation, who had two Stands, Switch showed up with three and attempted to get them to stop.
  • Beware the Nice Ones:
    • Getting insulted by Xbox caused Switch to take off her pigtails and beat Xbox with them. She also happens to have THREE powerful Stands.
    • Emulating her games!? Without looking like she has a Berserk Button, she'll call the FBI to sue the hell outta you. If you hear her music without permission, the least you'll get is a slap in the face.
  • Both Order and Chaos are Dangerous: Switch lets the Player play the lewd games that are banned by Playstation. While Playstation is being an 'anti-fun' orderly person here, Switch doesn't care if the lewd game may corrupt the mind of the Player. As long as he has fun!
  • Cheerful Child: She's the most childish of the bunch and generally perky.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Tends to induce this. Other characters tend to let her get what she wants because she's so damn cute. It's even lampshaded by the Player when Xbox lampshades on how Switch gets away with slapping him.
  • Digital Piracy Is Evil: Digital Piracy is one of the things Switch is ticked off at, and she'd resort to any means to remind the player to not do it. Ranging from slapping his face to even calling the FBI to sue.
  • Dumbass Has a Point: Downplayed because she's just a simpleton, not really dumb. But when she rejects Playstation's offer to upgrade herself graphics-wise for the sake of her fun ideals, even Playstation silently admits that somehow she might be right.
  • Friendly Rival: She and Playstation both try to convince players they are the better console, but in contrast to Xbox's obsession with beating Playstation the two are friendly terms.
  • Girlish Pigtails: To emphasize her innocence. They're also detachable (much like how you can detach Switch sticks) and can be used as a bludgeon.
  • Incorruptible Pure Pureness: iPhone and Android try to bully her into adopting their cruel money making schemes. She refuses.
  • Nice Girl: She has no mean bone in her body, and never delivers sick burns onto others. In fact, she goes out of her way to be kind to others, including Stadia of all people. Over time, this is slowly being subverted, as there are times that Switch shows a slightly mean side, but she is never faking in anything.
  • Reincarnation: Later comics reveal that she is the reincarnation of the original Game Boy (still named Gameboy, not Gamegirl). There hasn't been any information about those inbetween (NES, SNES, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii and WiiU), but it's safe to say that the reincarnations take place in that order until it reaches Switch.
  • Rule of Fun: A firm believer of this. She doesn't really care about things like realism or making tons of money. This is why she doesn't really engage in Playstation and Xbox's rivalry or bothers with graphical updates, and is also why she cheers Stadia up when she finds her crying over her failure, despite Stadia's cocky attitude in prior interactions.
Switch: As long as even just one person keeps playing, you'll never fail, Stadia!
  • Token Mini-Moe: The smallest of the major platforms in terms of height and bust, to the point that she looks more like the smartphones than the other consoles. This reflects real life, where the Switch is the smallest of the consoles, and is able to work both as a home console and a hand-held gaming device.
  • Token Wholesome: Became this following Playstation and Xbox upgrading. While those two wear formfitting (and, in Xbox's case, revealing), the mobiles basically wear swimsuits, and PC wears a dress that shows off her cleavage and legs, she still wears her Sailor Fuku. However, it only lasts until Steam Deck comes to the picture.

    Playstation

"Hello, gamers. I can show you beautiful, photo-realistic worlds."

A home video game console series marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment.

  • Breast Expansion: Her upgraded form, Playstation 5, significantly increases her cup size (although they still don't match up to PC's).
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Wears an all around black dress, and her company, Sony, did have a lot of internal issues, but she's more or less normal and the worst she did was handing out some Brutal Honesty.
  • Friendly Rival: With Switch. They both try to convince players they are the best console but unlike Xbox their rivalry appears to be friendly competition. Especially since Switch's joy after Playstation lets her play Persona 5 is enough to put a smile on Playstation.
  • I Hate Past Me: When she was just the little Playstation 1, she's much more of a dorky Cheerful Child, almost like Switch right now. Playstation in her current form is extremely embarrassed at her past self, demanding the player to delete the picture in instant. May be a little subverted if you remember some past episode: She did have some regrets of leaving the 'fun factor' she had in the past unlike Switch who stuck with it, so she might just a little too proud to admit that to the Player.
  • Meido: Dresses in a gothic maid style as a symbol that she caters to tons of expensive stuffs that users want, like photo-realistic graphics or multimedia. She stops after she becomes Playstation 5.
  • The Stoic: She rarely emotes, more or less being blunt and occasionally just says one single word to express her feelings for a situation.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Mirroring Sony's move of their headquarters to the much more conservative America and adopting their aversion to anime games, Playstation has become a lot harsher towards the Player, not letting him play anime games (and getting pissy when the Player discovered her childhood picture)... while the childish Switch would.
  • When She Smiles: The joy on Switch after Playstation lets her play Persona 5 puts an adorable smile on Playstation.

    Xbox

"Get off my tower, you lagging child!"

Microsoft's admission to the gaming console market. She is PC's daughter.

  • Butt-Monkey: Just about the only character she can 'bully' is Stadia. Her plans tend to backfire at her expense (see Hoist by His Own Petard) and even Playstation can afford to look at her with a smug-ass face to counter her more dedicated efforts to one-up her.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard:
    • Accusing Switch of having fake hair resulted in her finding out that said fake hair was detachable... and could be used to beat the crap out of her.
    • Her attempt to beat Playstation by buying Bethesda to get more exclusives succeeds in angering PC after she finds out, and Playstation notes that said "exclusives" will definitely be available on PC as well as Xbox while PC beats Xbox.
  • Jerkass: Downplayed. She is self-assured and tends to Trash Talk her compatriots, deserving or not. But she doesn't use utterly demeaning words or spreads bad influence like iPhone and Android.
  • The Rival: Engages in a rivalry with Playstation about who's the top console of the era. For the most part, Playstation also complies.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Usually her 'one-upping' plans backfire on her and she's the Butt-Monkey. She manages to get a genuine 'one-upping' moment when she decides to adopt the profitable gacha system straight from Android and iPhone right after they complain about Playstation and Switch doing so, pissing the them off.

    Google Stadia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cc_1.PNG

"How does it feel to have to download games? What are you, a caveman? Hahaha."

A cloud-gaming service created and operated by Google. Received a very mixed reception upon her release due to her frequent glitching and stuttering.

  • Boisterous Weakling: She talks a big game about her capabilities of storing games without downloading them or being able to display 4K graphics. All of them hampered by the fact that she lags so much.
  • Butt-Monkey: She exists to be trash-talked, no thanks to Google's disastrous campaign for the device.
  • Character Death: With the Stadia's servers shut down, Stadia dies as well, with the "Goodnight, Stadia" being her send-off comic.
  • Idiot Hair: An S-shaped ahoge similar to the Stadia symbol. And she's not that bright.
  • Only Friend: The only one who shows her any respect is Switch. She is even the only one to be there for her on her last days.

    Sega
Formerly Nintendo's greatest rival until Sony came to the picture. Though eliminated from the Console Wars, she's still stinking rich because of her maneuvers in the pachinko and gambling business... Or so Switch and Playstation thinks.
  • Ambiguous Situation:
    • It's not clear which Sega console she's supposed to represent: Master System, Genesis, Saturn or Dreamcast. She most likely represents the whole company with her Sonic the Hedgehog-esque hair.
    • Since her appearance is in Switch's and Playstation's Imagine Spot, it's not clear what Sega-chan is actually doing in the present time (considering that it still manages non-Sonic franchises, most prominently Yakuza)
  • Victorious Loser: Lost the Console Wars, but found a gold mine in pachinko and gambling. Even if she lost the war, she still wins big money.

Handheld Devices

    iPhone and Android
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cc_5.PNG

"What? You can't afford $500 worth of microtransactions?"
"You don't want a $1,000 phone?"
"You loser!"
"Pathetic."

Touchscreen-brand smartphones created by Apple and Google respectively.

  • Butt-Monkey: Their bullying didn't go very far because PC is there to keep them in line. Even Xbox, the Butt-Monkey of consoles, can get an upper hand on them.
  • The Bully: Their favorite tactic to get money out of their users is to shame them for being stingy and poor.
  • The Corrupter: They tried to make Switch adopt their money-sinking schemes, only to fail due to Switch having Incorruptible Pure Pureness.
  • Divergent Character Evolution: While Android stays the same, iPhone gains one quirk to separate herself from Android: She tends to autocorrect her own Precision F-Strike into "duck".
  • Gold Digger: They demand that users sink their money into them, otherwise they will insult the users.
  • Harmless Villain: The two of them are jerks, but anytime they appear on screen it ends with them failing or getting humiliated.
  • Jerkass: They really like to bully others for being poor and want users to sink all their money into them. Otherwise, they'll guilt-trip you with demeaning insults like 'pig' or 'lowlife'.
  • Precision F-Strike: And they have bad mouths too, cursing when PC keeps them down. Enough that their video debut was demonetized several times before Merryweatherey could modify it to get away from it.
  • Those Two Guys: They're never seen without each other.

    Nokia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cc_6.PNG

"Wanna play snake with me again, user? It's free, like always!"

A phone brand created by a Finnish telecommunications corporation. Said to be indestructible.

  • The Beastmaster: In her first appearance she is accompanied by a giant holographic snake, representing the one game that every older Nokia phone had.
  • Made of Iron: Implied by iPhone and Android to be the reason why she didn't die out figuratively and literally (Plus IRL Nokias are known to be nigh unbreakable).
  • The Pollyanna: Despite the device being completely outdated and the only thing she has being Snake (for free), Nokia always wears a beaming smile on her face.

    Steam Deck
Valve's own handheld device in order to make sure Steam games can be played mobile instead of being stuck at PC. Sees herself as a rival for Switch.
  • Girlish Pigtails: She had a similar hairstyle with Switch, but it's unknown if she can use that as a bludgeon.
  • The Rival: She fancies herself as Switch's rival, in a similar manner of Playstation vs Xbox's rivalry.
  • Unknown Rival: Unfortunately, Switch just simply doesn't pay attention to her.
  • You Are Fat: Because in real life, a Steam Deck is naturally heavier than a Switch, the Player has a harder time carrying her because of her weight, even if she's drawn to be as slim as Switch herself.

    Gameboy
Nintendo's first handheld device.

    PS Vita
Sony's second and last handheld device (preceding PSP) that came back from the grave in this verse. Unfortunately, even her own sister (Playstation) forgot about her.

Others

    PC
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cc_4.PNG
"Will you two quiet down? I'm trying to entertain billions of people over here."
A Personal Computer, who was originally created for scientific purposes.
  • All Your Powers Combined: Thanks to having emulation more tuned to her, she's basically able to do anything the other consoles can.
  • Almighty Mom: While all the consoles are afraid of her wrath and she acts like a Team Mom for them, the description for one of the comics (talking about Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda) reveals that, as a fellow Microsoft product, Xbox really is her daughter... and she isn't happy to find out Xbox borrowed her credit card to buy more exclusives.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She acts nice to everyone, and finds Switch to be so cute she can't bring herself to mention she can emulate Switch's exclusives. But she has no patience for iPhone and Android trying to bully users into bleeding themselves dry on micro transactions, and she really doesn't like it when Xbox steals her credit card.
  • Large Ham: She has a Holy Backlight that appears whenever she wants to be dramatic (which was once rainbow colored) that is accompanied by her voice echoing.
  • Team Mom: She basically keeps the consoles in line and wants them to play along nice instead of bullying each other.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: She was given tons of CPU and RAMs by the Scientist, but was asked to only use them for science. When she grew up big and realized that tons of gamers were worshiping her, she instantly disobeyed the Scientist's orders and used her power to give the gamers things like Fortnite, Warcraft, etc...

    Scientist
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cc_7.PNG
One of PC's creators.
  • Token Human: The only non-anthropomorphized human in the series, she basically represents the scientists that developed and created computers.

    Player
The one who buys consoles and plays games, naturally representing the playerbase.
  • The Blank: Downplayed. He's drawn without an eye. This is not to represent creepiness or something, but to represent the anonymity of most players, yet still allows him to emote with his mouth.
  • Good Counterpart: Can be said as this to the Users of I Made A Comic About Internet Explorer: He never belittled the consoles for not doing what he wants (even if he kind of favors Switch more), even embarrassing Playstation sounded like a good natured jab (that backfired on him).
  • Most Gamers Are Male: He and a majority of his gaming compatriots has the gender of male, there's no Gamer Chick yet.
