The Multiversal Task Force

Formed after SG-1's initial forays into the multiverse, the Multiversal Task Force is a rough alliance pledged to help each other solve the various problems they all face. Though facing several personality and governmental clashes, the teams have still gone through hell together and know the threats each other faces.

     SG- 1

The nucleus that formed the MVTF, SG-1 had no idea what to expect when they entered the Quantum Mirror. Despite this, they've become the foundation of the Multiversal Task Force.

Members: Col. Jonathan "Jack" O'Neill, Maj. Samantha Carter, Dr. Daniel Jackson, Teal'c

  • Obfuscating Insanity: In Be It Ever So Sold Out, There's No Place Like Home, O'Neill begins acting like a lunatic in front of the Springfield locals, to the horror of his own team and MV-4. It turns out to be an act to shock the platoon out of their fanboy actions, though he admits that at first he was also overwhelmed by being in the home of the Simpsons.

     MV-1: Strongest Team

Originally made up of Erza Scarlet, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Natsu Dragneel, and Happy, MV-1 were the first team encountered by SG-1 in their trip through the Quantum Mirror. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "PURE MAGIC".

Members: Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, Lucy Heartfilia

  • Mundane Made Awesome: To Lucy, the Internet is an incredible thing that results in her staying up all night to trawl through.

     MV-2: Mustang Squad

Commanded by Roy Mustang after the Promised Day, Amestris sent the team to work with the MVTF to find out whatever they could about the multiverse for the good of Amestris. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "UNTAMED".

Members: Brig. Gen. Roy Mustang, Capt. Riza Hawkeye, Capt. Jean Havoc, 1st Lt. Heymans Breda, 1st Lt. Vato Falman, Warrant Officer Kain Fuery, Alphonse Elric, Princess May Chang

  • The Atoner: Mustang spends several early stories waiting to be sent to Ishval to finally assist in rebuilding the region.
  • Badass Normal: Jean Havoc's history in black operations comes into play in several stories.

     MV-3: Team Korra

Accompanied by Asami Sato, Mako, and Bolin, Korra entered the multiverse to find out more about the strange group that helped stop Kuvira's army. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "PRAY TO US".

Members: Korra, Asami Sato, Mako, Bolin

  • Brought Down to Badass: Despite losing access to their bending in WWII-era Paris, the team still kicks Nazi ass with MV-2.
  • Does Not Like Guns: Korra, seeing firearms as too easy to use compared to how long it takes to fully master bending.
  • Honest Corporate Executive: Asami is unwilling to take on the same profit-focused methods her competitors are using to make their money, and instead demands her company leaders focus on treating her employees well and maintaining quality products.
  • I Hate Past Me: After learning about Nazis, Bolin goes through several stories where he tries to square what he did for Kuvira with what he learns about the Third Reich. A talk with Reinhardt and a mission into a universe filled with Nazis helps him accept himself again.

     MV-4: 1st Multiversal Reconnaissance Team

Soldiers from the European Union of 2142, 1st Platoon are on a mission to find any information or technology that can give their nations whatever advantage they can find against the Pan-Asian Coalition. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "EUROPA".

Members: Platoon Commander Capt. William Campbell, Platoon Sergeant Sgt. Laura Weber

  • 1st Squad: Cpl. Michael Kavanaugh, LCpl. Philip Becker, LCpl. Ernst Gantz, LCpl. Wilhemina Van der Burgh, LCpl. Jack Baker, LCpl. Conrad Scholz, LCpl. Emilia Schneider, LCpl. Katerina Lisowski
  • 2nd Squad: Cpl. Philippe Durand, LCpl. Konrad Vogt, LCpl. Devon Lee, LCpl. Rafael Garcia, LCpl. Marcus Russo, LCpl. Giuseppe Ricci, LCpl. Girard Brodeur, LCpl. Daryna Belenko

  • Ascended Fanboy: In a very roundabout way. Their entry into U-1923 had given them a chance to interact with their childhood heroes.
  • At Least I Admit It: Van der Burgh, Russo, and Belenko refuse to stop voicing their hatred toward Mei, and in a wider scale anyone who is Chinese or Russian. To them, the rest of the platoon concealing their bigotry is the worse insult.
  • Big Eater: Coming from the world they have, being able to eat American-sized portions of red meat and junk food encourages them to eat every last morsel.
  • Berserk Button: Purposefully wasting food is a good way to tell the platoon you don't value your life.
  • Fighting Irish: Averted with Kavanaugh, who would much rather live than risk dying in combat.
  • Genre Savvy: Most of the time. Though they can occasionally wind up...
  • Original Generation: Given the nature of their game, the members of the platoon are mostly created for the series.
  • Poirot Speak: Words from their native tongues often peppers their dialogue. Which often includes plenty of Foreign Cuss Word.
  • Queer Establishing Moment: After enduring several stories ignoring Parker's attitudes, Last Stand of the Owl House reveals Ricci, Belenko, and Garcia are respectively bisexual, bisexual, and gay. Parker hadn't noticed because, as lampshaded by the troopers, none of them display the stereotypical mannerisms he associates with homosexuality due to his attitudes.

     MV-5: Dead Six

Under Nick "Havoc" Parker, the commandos of Dead Six are under orders to assist the MVTF with their missions in return for any potential aid in stopping the spread of Tiberium. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "CAN'T KILL US".

Members: Capt. Nick "Havoc" Parker, Lt. Shai "Hotwire" Aviv, CPO Nigel "Gunner" Grant, Hauptfeldwebel SSgt. Dariel "Deadeye" MacInnis, SSgt. Thomas "Bruiser" McFarland

  • Disappeared Dad: Gunner has a moment of reflection that his own father essentially abandoned him and his mother.
  • Faking the Dead: Technically, the entire team are all legally dead. This enables them to travel their world carrying out operations GDI would have "trouble" with any official connection to.
  • Hidden Depths: Several times, Parker has shown insights into human psychology that catches others off-guard.
    • Gunner, as revealed in Eyes of a Child, spends some of his time assisting charities in London.
  • No Social Skills: Given that he's spent years in black ops carrying out GDI's objectives, Parker has a rough time adjusting to being with more idealistic individuals to say the least.
  • Semper Fi: Parker's past as a US Marine informs a lot of the MVTF's opinions of his personality and actions.
  • Wrench Wench: When not combating terrorism at home or in the multiverse, Hotwire is revealed to spend her time working on classic sports and muscle cars.

     MV-6: Overwatch

Recently recalled, the newly reformed Overwatch believe that the MVTF will give new life to their search to make the world a better place, as well as help stop the actions of Doomfist and Talon. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "GUARDIAN ANGELS".

Members: Prof. Winston, Capt. Fareeha "Pharah" Amari, Lt. Lena "Tracer" Oxton, Lt. Wilhelm Reinhardt, Dr. Angela "Mercy" Ziegler, Jesse McCree, Genji Shimada, Zenyatta, Dr. Mei-Ling Zhou

  • N.G.O. Superpower: Subverted; Overwatch has been recalled, but barely has any numbers, no practical funding, and is trading on goodwill to avoid being brought down by the UN.

     MV-7: The CHS Seven

Sunset Shimmer and her friends joined the MVTF to study magic and the multiverse, knowing that the dimensional portal in front of their school was now an open door. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "MAGNIFICENT".

Members: Sunset Shimmer, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle

  • Genre Blindness: Rainbow Dash has a bad case of this in regard to the MVTF. She keeps assuming that the adventures that they’re on will be awesome battles against the forces of evil that they will win time and time again, because they’re the good guys and the good guys win. She wants to fight but chokes up in actual life-and-death combat, and can barely take orders from a superior.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Due to having no history of documentation in her new home, Sunset's college applications wind up going nowhere and force her to got to college in Stargate Command's MIT.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Applejack lays into Rainbow Dash at one point in “Gridlocked” for her continuing Genre Blindness regarding the risks taken by the MVTF, and her daredevil attitude towards the kinds of enemies that they are facing.

     MV-8: The Sailor Senshi

The pretty guardians of Love and Justice, Usagi and her friends fight alongside the MVTF to be the heroes they believe they were meant to be. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "LOVE AND JUSTICE".

Members: Usagi Tsukino, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino, Haruka Tenoh, Michiru Kaioh, Setsuna Meioh

  • The Baby of the Bunch: As a whole, the Senshi are seen by the majority of the MVTF as middle-school girls despite their immense power.
  • The Heart: Despite this, their refusal to choose expedience over kindness has also solved several problems that other teams would solve more "directly".

MV-9: Imperial Army Intelligence State Section III

Under the irrepressible command of Lt. Alice Malvin, the Pumpkin Scissors team are in the multiverse to try and find ways to save their nation from itself. As of Shared Hardship, Common Enemy, they have been dubbed "VERSCHWÖRUNGSTÄTER".

Members: Lt. Alice L. Malvin, Sub-lieutenant Oreldo, Cpl. Randel Oland

  • Gentle Giant: Randel.
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Alice can fire a weapon. Accuracy is not always guaranteed.
  • Mauve Shirt: Martis is the first to of the MVTF to die in the line of duty.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Alice is steadfast in her ideals of honor and duty. Taking the life of a FARC terrorist in Colombia, and having to face down Zachary Comstock in Columbia, break her of holding too close to her ideals.

     Team Rainbow

The elite of their world's counter-terrorism experts, Team Rainbow joined later after the MVTF helped to shield several civilians from the White Mask attack on Harvard. Though extremely capable, their own remit holds them in their own universe unless there's an emergency.

  • The Ace: A team-wide one. Everyone in the MVTF has nothing but respect for the operators in Rainbow.
  • Not So Above It All: Even being a Tier One operator with the Special Action Team, Yumiko can't help but squeal as she gets to meet Rei Hino in the flesh.

     Rod Serling
Yes, the Rod Serling. The creator and former host of The Twilight Zone appears from time to time to observe and provide advice to members of the MVTF.
  • All-Powerful Bystander: Like the Ancients of SG-1's universe, he is often restricted in how much assistance he can give
  • The Mentor: Often helps the teams with what direction to take.

     Robert Stack
Again, yes, that Robert Stack. Sometimes works with Rod.
