"I remember that night. I remember every night."

When your show focuses on a man with powers from an Egyptian moon god, there’s gonna be some awesome moments.

    open/close all folders

    Episode 1: The Goldfish Problem
  • The first episode ends with Steven, cornered in a bathroom with an Egyptian monster banging on the door, allowing Marc to take over his body. The beast rips into the bathroom and tackles him, followed by a Battle Discretion Shot as we hear punches, the roars of the monster, and Marc's grunting. Then a sink is hurled out of the bathroom and into the wall, followed shortly by the beast trying and failing to flee before being dragged back inside and beaten to death...by Moon Knight himself, revealed in all his glory.
  • Several of these occur off-screen when Marc is in control: breaking into a heavily-armed compound of Harrow's in the Alps and successfully stealing the scarab, despite getting his jaw dislocated in the process; bloodily beating four people to death with his bare hands in such a manner that the large crowd around him flees in terror; performing some driving stunts worthy of a James Bond film in a cupcake delivery truck, at one point managing to drive backwards after wrestling a gun away from an attacker at close range and shooting him in the head; and also having the trappings of a complete other identity hidden in a secret panel in Steven's room for him to assume whenever he takes control, having apparently been doing this for a long time before Steven realized anything unusual was happening to him.

    Episode 2: Summon the Suit
  • Steven gets some credit after taking on the Mr. Knight persona, confronting the jackal head on and refusing to submit to Marc or Khonshu. Even Marc admits that the punch on the jackal was pretty good.
    • Steven is clearly terrified and out of his depth, but confronts the jackal directly when he realizes Layla can't see it. He has no idea what's going on and is scared out of his mind, but you can't say he's not brave.
  • Once Steven allows Marc to take control, the fight immediately shifts in Moon Knight's favor, as he manages to lead the jackal away from bystanders, find an opening for him to strike, and use an environmental structure to impale it and finish it off.
  • Layla also gets credit for attacking the jackal monster with a broken bottle, despite not being able to see it.
  • After Marc takes over the body, Steven gives him a "The Reason You Suck" Speech and swears to never let him have a moment of peace. Within the span of two episodes, Steven Took a Level in Badass, and the usually stoic and confident Marc is so shaken that he snaps and forces Steven under.
  • Steven also gets a good one by poking holes in Ammit's philosophy and pointing out that by judging someone for crimes they might/will commit later, that would mean killing innocent people who haven't done anything yet, especially children. He's clearly got a hell of a point, since Harrow seems to be at a loss of words to argue against it and resorts to using Ammit's power to instead directly threaten Steven into handing over the scarab.

    Episode 3: The Friendly Type
  • Marc fighting Harrow's thugs in the beginning of the episode. It's clear that the only reason he doesn't completely wipe the floor with them is because they have the advantage numbers; in one-on-one portions of the fight, he clearly has the upper hand, especially when they are showboating with fancy knife tricks that do absolutely nothing to impress or intimidate him.
  • Unsettling as it is, Arthur Harrow is capable of outwitting the representatives of literal gods, playing on Khonshu's weaknesses and manipulating the other avatars into throwing out the case Marc is making against him.
  • Marc deploying the suit to fight Anton's goons. Not only is his cape bulletproof, it can hurl bullets back with stunning force when he whips it.
    • The whole fight is impressive. Marc mows through a mook per second with his hand-to-hand combat skills and enhanced strength. At one point, Marc simply runs through a fence rather than vaulting over it as one would expect.
    • Marc is temporarily pinned to the ground by spears. When he sees Layla is in danger, he quickly breaks free and snaps the spears, leaving everyone dead on the ground, impaled by their own weapons, in seconds.
    • Layla also deserves credit for proving just how Crazy-Prepared she is — beyond wearing a necklace to Mogart's mansion that conceals a set of knives, her tablet is also equipped with software that can scan celestial positions and turn them into usable coordinates.
  • Khonshu displays his full power in a Heroic Sacrifice, rearranging the entire night sky to the way it was thousands of years ago in order for Layla and Steven to able to find Ammit's tomb, knowing full well that it'll cause him to be encased in stone by the other Egyptian gods. The visuals are stunning, and we are shown reactions around the world, making it clear that this isn't a localized illusion. It's no wonder the other gods are pissed — there is no way to excuse this as anything except divine intervention.
Khonshu: I remember that night... I remember every night.
  • The sky scene also has a moment where Steven (after having been sidelined by Marc and Khonshu) is able to prove the value of his extensive knowledge of Egyptology and history, as he deduces how to reassemble the fragments of papyrus into a map.

    Episode 4: The Tomb
  • With Marc depowered, it's up to Layla to kick ass.
    • When Harrow's men send a technical with a heavy machine gun to take them out, Layla uses a flare as a lure for an ambush to throw a second flare into the ammo box, detonating it and killing both men inside with a hail of cooked-off bullets.
    • An undead Heka drags a screaming Layla into the darkness. A few seconds later, she's thrown out holding its severed hand and kills it with a flare to the eye.
  • Before Harrow guns him down in Alexander the Great's tomb, the depowered Marc manages to cut down a few of his assailants with an axe.
  • Despite the surreal situation he's in, Marc begins to piece things together in Director Harrow's office and decides to break out of the mental hospital before reuniting with Steven.
  • The discovery of Alexander the Great's tomb itself proves to be this. For archaeologists and those who follow archaeology, the lost tomb of Alexander the Great is one of the great mysteries of the field. Seeing Steven find it is nothing short of awesome.

    Episode 5: Asylum
  • While it is also disturbing, it's hard to deny the sheer awe in seeing Khonshu (with F. Murray Abraham bringing his A-game) bring Marc back from the dead as the music swells and we see the full glory of Moon Knight being born. It's not everyday you see the birth of a holy Fist of Vengeance.
Khonshu: Then rise...RISE and live again! As my fist of vengeance, as my... MOON KNIGHT!
  • After cowering during the fight on the boat, Steven steps in after he sees Marc is losing, taking out two of his attackers with one impressive bat swing and beating a third to dust so hard that he hurts his hands.

    Episode 6: Gods and Monsters
  • Layla is pretty dang awesome in this episode, from going after Harrow with plans to assassinate him herself (possibly both to prevent him from destroying the world and avenge Marc at the same time) to releasing Khonshu all on her own, and when he tries to ask her to be his avatar she not only says no, she tears him a new one for his mistreatment of Marc.
  • Harrow releasing Ammit from her prison. She proves to be a very interesting goddess and one hell of a threat to the world. Harrow himself no longer holds back, and starts destroying everything in his path to get to her.
  • Khonshu revealing himself and standing against Ammit even without Moon Knight to back him up. While Ammit proves stronger, his unique teleportation skill throws her off and he manages to keep her on her toes.
Khonshu: You speak of balance, yet you choose him! Your avatar is a sinner!
  • Khonshu and Moon Knight soaring through the desert to get to Harrow and Ammit. Moon Knight spreading his crescent cape and zooming through the night towards the pyramids is truly a sight to behold.
Steven: [...] Now, how the heck are we gonna get to Cairo?
Khonshu: You forget little worm, I am still the god of the night sky!
  • Layla agrees to be Taweret's avatar to give her the power to fight Harrow. Her suit comes equipped with Razor Wings that Layla quickly proves adept at using.
  • Harrow condemns a group of soldiers (bar one who was judged good) to death.
  • The entirety of the three-way battle between Arthur (now the avatar for Ammit's power), Moon Knight, and Layla. Many fans noted the relative lack of action in such a gritty series, but thankfully they saved the best for last. Harrow really steps up his game, displaying the full extent of his power and giving Marc, Steven, and Layla a run for their money. It also shows off Layla's skills with her Razor Wings, Marc's capabilities as Moon Knight, and Steven's newfound confidence as Mr. Knight. All while giant Khonshu and Ammit battle fiercely in the background!
    • Despite their strong showing, Harrow endangering a nearby family proves enough of a distraction for him to seize the advantage over the pair of them, pinning Layla's hand to the side of an upturned car with one of Marc's crescent darts, forcing her to use the other arm defending herself from close-range gunfire from his remaining goons whilst he wails on Marc, eventually tearing his mask off and impaling him with Ammit's staff, which begins apparently disintegrating both his body and the Moon Knight costume, in spite of Marc's Healing Factor. It looks to be the Darkest Hour for the heroes...except then Marc blacks out again, awakening to find himself standing over a beaten and bloody Harrow with the sundered half of his staff pressed against his head in anticipation of a finishing blow with his own weapon, bodies lying everywhere, with the surroundings on fire and noticeably more destroyed than they were during the on-screen battle up to that point. Layla is noticeably shaken by whatever the hell 'Marc' just did, and the two alters we're familiar with each confirm that this go-around, beneficial as it was to them, isn't something either of them did, or were capable of by themselves. Combined with the stinger, it's a fairly harrowing example of how much more powerful the third alter is when he's in control of Moon Knight's powers, enough to almost turn the fight against Harrow into an Anti-Climax with apparent ease.
  • Steven is now capable of kicking ass with his truncheons as he and Marc can seamlessly switch who's fronting at any given moment. Extra credit should go to Oscar Isaac for alternating between Marc's American accent and Steven's British accent when speaking sentence-to-sentence. He's also the one who makes the deal with Khonshu — release both Marc and Steven from the deal, or they won't help.
  • The Stinger has Khonshu reveal that he wasn't eyeing Layla all along. No, he was eyeing Jake Lockley to be his avatar. Jake is all too happy to give Arthur A Taste Of His Own Medicine, and it's nothing short of cathartic to watch the latter's smugness and superiority give away to pure horror as he fears for his life for the very first (and last) time.
Jake: (Slasher Smile) Hoy te toca perder. (Today is your turn to lose.)
    Arthur: W-wait!
(is shot in the heart twice before Jake drives the limo out of the psychiatric ward)
