Let's be honest. Despite the Darker and Edgier Surprisingly Realistic Outcome nature of this story, there are still moments that not just live up to canon but jump over the bar of it.
- Chapter 1: Izuku saves a girl who turns out to be Jirou.
- Chapter 3: Izuku and Tae work together to save Ochako in the practical exam.
- Chapter 6: Izuku knocks Tsuyu out of the path of Bakugo's blast when he tried to kill them. He follows this up by managing to heal Tsuyu without turning her into a zombie.
- Chapter 19: Izuku and Tae stop Ichigo Go from shooting the judge from Lily's trial.
- Chapter 20: Inko is on death's door following a heart attack. Izuku manages to fix the damage, and accidentally heals all the wear and tear of the past 15 years, effectively de-aging Inko.
- Chapter 21: Magne infiltrates Ichigo's jail cell, calling her out on making Lily suffer before beating Ichigo to death.
- Chapter 23: Izuku, Tae, Lily, and Saki annihilate all of class 1-B during a test.
- Chapter 25:
- Izuku quickly coming up with a strategy to pool everyone's skills together, to fight off the Robo Inferno obstacle.
- Momo creating a huge rifle capable of one-shotting the Zero Pointers - using Izuku's suggestions to build it in mere moments.
- Izuku, Tsuyu, Jirou, and Fumikage team up to build a steampunk hovercraft that lets them overtake everyone at the minefield. Even after being shot down by Todoroki, Fumikage and Dark Shadow throw Izuku into first place.Fumikage: YOU... SHALL NOT...STEAL MY FRIEND'S VICTORY!
- Chapter 26:
- Midnight calling out the fans who protested Todoroki losing points for attacking Izuku's team.Midnight: "We were lucky no one was seriously hurt by Todoroki-san's actions. Heroes abide by the rules. Naughty little boys and girls who don't... ARE NOT HEROES!!"
- Kyoka and Fumikage combine their powers to supercharge Dark Shadow, making their team untouchable during the cavalry battle.
- Ochako and Tenya performing a mutiny and ignoring Todoroki's suicidal order to attack Izuku's team.
- Midnight calling out the fans who protested Todoroki losing points for attacking Izuku's team.
- Chapter 27: Todoroki winds up revealing his backstory to all of Izuku's friends. They tear his Wangst apart, pointing out how he isn't the only one who has suffered and how a bad life isn't grounds to be a jerk. The real awesome is Izuku's response when Todoroki claims Lily doesn't know what suffering is.
- Eraserhead breaks into the announcer's booth and beats the stuffing out of Present Mic for calling Izuku The Monster of U.A.
- Chapter 29: Fumikage doesn't go along with Mei's sales pitch and convinces her to show how good her inventions are in battle.
- Mei manages to keep Fumikage on the backfoot through a mix of her inventions, desperation, and determination. She still loses, but her passion gains her a lot of fans, including some begging her to make their gear.
- Kyoka knows she can't beat Todoroki, but resolves to go down swinging. Her opening move blows up part of the arena and gets her within punching distance before she is flash frozen by a furious Todoroki.
- Fumikage, Izuku, and Tae leap into action to save Kyoka, who is suffocating in the glacier Todoroki created.
- Chapter 30: Nezu bringing down the hammer on Todoroki for what he did to Kyoka, telling him that either he drops out of the tournament or the next time he screws up he's getting expelled.
- When Ibara and Izuku fight, Saki manages to throw her off by insulting her, distracting her just enough to allow Izuku to punch her. She does manage to recover and traps both Izuku and Saki with her vines, but when she gets too condescending in forcing her beliefs on Izuku and breaks Saki's neck, fully intent on "killing" her, Izuku makes all vines tying him wither and die and pummels her so hard and fast that the attack can only be seen as a blur when the video is on slow motion, sending her into the air for Saki to grab and perfectly suplex. Ibara mentally compares him to the Angel of Death.
- During her fight with Tetsutetsu, Mina's arm gets dislocated when Tetsutetsu tackles her. She manages to set it back into place and stand up. Unfortunately, she is unable to keep going and faints before the fight can continue.
- Izuku calls out Endeavor for his insane idea of him marrying Fuyumi Todoroki, not backing down even as Endeavor starts to get angry.
- Then Nyanta, the cat-like QRA agent, arrives and tells Endeavor that if he tries to do anything to Izuku or the girls he will find a way to get him shot down from the Hero rankings. He may be working partially against Izuku's interests, but hell if he doesn't step up to the plate when needed.
- Endeavor decides to just bribe Izuku for a semen tube, and Izuku naturally tells him no. Endeavor begins to flame up... and cue Saki bringing an extinguisher to cover the Number Two Hero in foam. And before he can even try again, All Might arrives and drags him away.
- Chapter 31: All Might warning an oblivious Endeavor that another slip by Shoto will not only get him expelled, but also sent to a facility for people with dangerous Quirks. He also gives him such a Death Glare that it kills Endeavor's flames.
- Fumikage nearly winning his fight against Momo even after she managed to fire a flashbang point-blank - and then forfeiting the fight when he realizes he is unable to fully control himself.
- Tsuyu stating to the public that she cannot trust Todoroki with her life - using the same words other heroes have used to deny their help to Endeavor.
- Chapter 32: Izuku's fight with Tetsutetsu.
- Izuku chooses to fight on his own, knowing that the Board will try to make a Loophole Abuse if he brings Tae or Saki.
- When Tetsutetsu charges at him, Izuku consciously uses Cursed Blood to give himself short-term Super-Speed, dodges the charge and stuns Tetsutetsu by slapping him in the ear.
- Tetsutetsu attempts another charge, but this time Izuku uses his speed against him and throws him over his shoulder.
- Tetsutetsu then punches the ground to create a dust cloud and allow him to attack Izuku when he approaches... only for Izuku to grab some of the concrete that the former has broken and smash it against his head, having successfully noticed his weakness, and stunning him.
- Tetsutetsu falls to the ground, and Izuku is about to finish knocking him out, but Tetsutetsu manages to jump and catch Izuku off guard, tackling him to throw him off the ring...
- ... but then Izuku accesses one of Tae's memories of watching a wrestling match and manages to perfectly imitate a move he has just "seen" (the headscissor) to use Tetsutetsu's momentum against him, throwing him off the ring and winning the match.
- Tetsutetsu and Pony wrestling.
- Izuku and Shinso get the recognition of an international agency that is interested in having the two intern with them.
