    Chapter 1: Sinister Origin
Four-year-old Izuku really wants to learn what Quirk he has, because he really wants to be a hero when he becomes older. The doctor, however, replies that he only seems to have a relatively powerful regeneration Quirk that prevents him from becoming sick, and tells him to give up on his dream. However, that night, Inko tells him that he can still be a hero.
Ten years later, though, life only seems to be bent on keeping Izuku downtrodden: he's been bullied on a daily basis by his former friend Bakugo and all his classmates, with even his teachers being complicit in the abuse, with only his mother still being on his side.
During a camping trip with his classmates, Izuku ends up picked for the "spend the night along in the woods" test (which has happened multiple times already) just on the night he becomes fourteen. He wishes his Quirk - which manifests in the form of small micro-organisms in his blood - could do more than just keeping him healthy.
His musings are interrupted when he hears someone running nearby, with a car roaring right behind. Izuku rushes to the source, and sees a girl he attempts to guide to safety, only for the car driver to pull out a gun and shoot. Izuku attempts to shield the girl, but the bullets pierce through him and fatally injure the girl, who is then killed when the driver empties a gun clip on her.
While regenerating from the bullet injuries, Izuku attempts to get the girl to safety and calls first emergencies and then his teacher, but both prove unwilling to help, and Izuku tries to call his mother before resorting to the wild idea of trying to use his Quirk to keep the girl alive.
Hours later, Inko finally manages to arrive to the camp, where the police are starting to investigate what happened, only to find a distraught Izuku who thinks he's cursed: the girl has somehow revived as a zombie-like creature. A cop gets startled when the girl makes a sudden move and shoots at her, and Izuku discovers he can give orders to the girl.
Back into the city, Inko worriedly admonishes her son for acting as a bullet shield, but Izuku is more saddened by the fact that he could not actually stop the bullets. The local chief of police comes and tells them the girl is Tae Yamada, who was reportedly disowned by her parents after running away with her boyfriend, although the chief suspects that Tae (who is Quirkless) was actually sold out to a traffic ring that used her as a sex slave. In short order, the Midoriyas find themselves having Tae living with them.
     Chapter 2: Sinister Resolve
Returning to school - now accompanied by Tae - does not bring an end of Izuku's troubles: instead, he's bullied even more as Bakugo claims his Quirk is villainous, and everyone else follows suit, although fortunately they are more likely to leave him alone for fear of what Tae might do. In the meantime, Izuku discovers that Tae's zombie status is only temporary, and requires regular "feedings" with his blood, which also grants her a regeneration power similar to Izuku's, and also that his Quirk might be helping him develop physically.
One afternoon, after school, Izuku and Tae are attacked by a sludge-like villain, who tries to kill Izuku to use his body as a puppet, but the two manage to fight it off long enough for All Might to arrive and splatter the villain apart to capture him. All Might only stays long enough to capture the villain and autograph Izuku's notebook, leaving before Izuku can ask if he could become a hero. A talk with Tae does lift his spirits somewhat.
A week later, things keep turning wrong: their teacher outed Izuku's plan to request acceptance in U.A., and when Bakugo answered by pushing Tae out of the window, he barely receives a slap on the wrist while Izuku ends up getting lectured to keep him from putting Bakugo's future in danger. Discharging his frustrations at Dagobah Park's dump, he is interrupted by two blondes. The elder (which, unknown to Izuku, is All Might), offers Izuku the chance to train with them after seeing his strength, but Izuku declines the offer and leaves. All Might tasks the younger man, Mirio Togata, with cleaning up the beach.
Four months later, Izuku and Tae are at U.A. to attend the Hero Entrance Exam. Bakugo deliberately goes out of his way to push Izuku away, but a girl with a Quirk that lets her make things weightless helps him before he hits the ground. The girl calls Izuku "Romero", only for Izuku to reveal that that is meant to be an insult related to his Quirk: when she learns about it, she runs away in a panic, making Izuku feel despondent. Still, the duo goes into U.A., ready to chase after Izuku's dream.
    Chapter 3: Sinister Start Line
Izuku begins the U.A. Entrance Exam - and is soon surprised by how short it is, only to learn after finishing writing all the answers that it is indeed the entire exam.
Two hours later, the students are taken to the practical exam battle grounds, and Izuku wonders why there are no simulations for search and rescue when he trips over a bottle of nausea pills. At Tae's suggestion, Izuku attempts to find the owner of the pills, only to get interrupted by a blue-haired boy who believes Izuku is a plant. Izuku eventually manages to get rid of him, but then Present Mic starts the test.
Izuku and Tae go into the testing grounds, with Tae using her strength to hold the robots tight while Izuku turns them off. Tae complains about needing blood, and Izuku decides to stop to give her some, but then an enormous robot enters the grounds and begins to attack the buildings, causing the would-be hero students to run away. Before he can do the same, though, Izuku hears the brown-haired girl from earlier asking for help, and he has Tae rescue her while he distracts the huge robot.
Tae quickly gets the girl from under the rock that trapped her and takes her away, but Izuku gets distracted and the robot punches him, sending him flying away. The girl attempts to help him by using her Quirk on him, but the sudden deceleration breaks his neck, rendering him temporarily unconscious until his body knits itself together. Between the shock of almost killing Izuku by accident and then seeing him come back to life, the girl faints. Just then, the test ends. Recovery Girl begins to heal those students that are hurt, and the blue-haired boy reflects on Izuku's heroism and bravery.
One week later, Izuku receives a letter from U.A.: while he earned a perfect score on the written exam, the twenty points he got in the practical would not be enough to grant him a place in the Hero Course - at least, not without counting the sixty points he got from rescuing the girl, placing him as the student with the highest mark. Inko faints from seeing his son face off the zero-point robot, and Izuku realizes he needs to come up with some hero costumes.
A month afterwards is the beginning of the school year at U.A., and Izuku and Tae go to their assigned classroom, Class 1-A. On the door, they meet the brunette girl, who thanks them for saving her, complaining that she only got in trouble because she had lost her medication - the pills Izuku found before the exam. Izuku forgives her for her instinctive reaction towards Tae and the two present themselves, the girl being Ochaco Uraraka.
Inside the classroom, they meet their future classmates, among them the blue-haired boy, who apologizes to Izuku for his previous actions during the examination, and then to Uraraka for preventing Izuku from giving her her pills. Their conversation is interrupted by their homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa, who gives them a set of gym uniforms and tells them to meet outside for Quirk testing. But before they begin, Aizawa threatens to expel whoever comes last in the testing. The first to do a test is Izuku, much to Bakugo's shock, as Aizawa tasks Izuku to send a ball as far as possible: Izuku has Tae place the ball a thousand metres away, which she easily arranges.
Izuku finds himself happy that he might actually fit in the school.
    Chapter 4: Sinister Friendship
Shouta Aizawa, Class 1-A's homeroom teacher, eyes his new students as they begin the Quirk assessment test, taking mental notes on their behaviour, particularly Izuku, as Bakugo's attempt to attack Izuku shows him there are troubling issues to consider. Meanwhile, Izuku is surprised when several of his classmates express admiration for his Quirk and how he uses it, and then surprises everyone when he reveals Aizawa is the underground hero Eraserhead. Aizawa urges them to start with the testing, while he considers strong and weak points from all of them, with Izuku's and Tae's unsettling him since they don't fit with what he knows.
Aizawa reveals the results of the test (with Izuku placing seventh) and then that his threat of expelling whoever came last was a "logical ruse" to make them push to their fullest potential. As the teacher leaves, raven-headed Fumikage Tokoyami approaches Izuku to ask about his Quirk, before deciding not to press too much about Tae when he notices the matter is a sore spot, much to Izuku's appreciation. Meanwhile, Bakugo internally rages about Izuku getting positive attention.
As the other students begin to leave, Izuku decides he needs to feed Tae, with Tokoyami tagging along out of pure curiosity. Much to his shock - as well as that of Yaoyorozu and Asui, who had been delayed - Izuku stabs his own hand, letting the blood pool so Tae can feed from it. Izuku explains why he does it, while Momo rushes to find a bathroom.
A few days later, Izuku is settled in U.A., glad to see that it is very different from previous schools, as the worst attitude he sees is Momo being quite uncomfortable around him. Much to his surprise, All Might comes in as their Foundational Heroics teacher, and tells them they'll be having a practical class: a battle trial, where students work in pairs as either Heroes or Villains to achieve an objective. Izuku is paired with Asui, and the two are the villains that will fight Bakugo and Iida as the heroes. The objective, for Izuku and Asui, is to either capture the heroes or protect the bomb until the clock runs out.
While Izuku plans how to defend the bomb, Asui tells him that he can call her Tsu-chan, surprising Izuku, who had not expected the girl to want to be his friend, as well as Tae's. Emboldened, Izuku develops a plan that plays to Bakugo's and Iida's strengths in order to win.
    Chapter 5: Sinister Success
Iida grows concerned about his teammate's deranged behavior, which he regards unbecoming, but he can do little about it before the trial begins.
In his office, Aizawa reviews Bakugo's and Izuku's files: his hunch about the two of them was right, as there is a clear pattern of bullying caused by the former that has been covered up by the different schools both of them have attended. Realizing he needs to act to keep both of them separated, he quickly moves to prevent it, not knowing that he's going to be too late.
Bakugo and Iida enter the building, but find nothing in the first floor, driving Bakugo more furious as he yells for Izuku to show up - only for Izuku to appear at the top of the stairs. Bakugo flies in a fury behind Izuku, leaving Iida alone to notice a trail of paint, which he follows. In his precipitation, Iida triggers a trap that covers him in paint. Realizing he has lost the surprise element, Iida rushes forwards and finds Tsuyu waiting for him. Iida is plenty convinced of his superiority, only to get caught by surprise when Tae grabs him from behind, throttling him with Izuku's tie and leaving him unable to get loose.
The other students watch the encounter as it unfolds, with confronted opinions on how appropiate the Villain team's moves have been. They observe as Izuku leads Bakugo to the building's top floor and prepares to fight.
Izuku taunts Bakugo when he arrives to the floor's main room, tricking him into fruitlessly using his explosions before passing to attack, tanking through one attack to successfully punch Bakugo, while their classmates are horrorized by the injuries Izuku sustains and quickly recovers from, and even more when one of Izuku's moves leads to him getting blasted in the face. Nonetheless, Izuku manages to prevail and punches Bakugo hard enough to stun him for a long time, although he is unable to properly capture him since an explosion has destroyed the capture tape he carried. Izuku moves downstairs to support Tsuyu and Tae. In spite of his injuries, Bakugo manages to begin dragging himself downstairs.
At the observation room, the teens remain divided on who to support, while All Might grows worried over Bakugo's and Izuku's attitude, not knowing that Izuku has lost both his capture tape and communication bead in the fight.
Izuku arrives to the room where Tsuyu and Tae have captured Iida. Tsuyu worries about Izuku's ruined suit, but Izuku replies that he's fine and that the injuries Bakugo has suffered will ensure he cannot find either the bomb or them in time. The two celebrate by sharing candies Izuku carries, as Bakugo continues to drag himself down. The alarm marking the end of the trial sounds just as Bakugo reaches the bottom floor, signaling Izuku and Tsuyu's victory. Furious with the defeat, Bakugo deliberately fires the grenade in his gauntlet, causing brutal devastation that collapses the room.
Iida manages to regain consciousness with not many injuries, but as he is still trapped by the capture tape, he cannot help Tae dig out Izuku and Tsuyu, who are under a mountain of rubble. Bakugo's self-satisfied behavior is cut short when the other students and All Might arrive: while the hero quickly neutralizes Bakugo's gauntlets, the teens begin to dig out.
Under the rubble, Tsuyu slowly wakes up, only to see she has suffered lethal injuries that, per Izuku's calculations, will kill her before she can be taken to a hospital. Izuku decides to take the risk and gives her some of his blood. By the time they are finally dug out, it has worked, and while she still needs medical attention, she is out of danger. At Izuku's warning that he does not know if his Quirk will stop working if he is not touching Tsuyu, Tokoyami has his Quirk, Dark Shadow, get the two out of the hole they are in, while All Might rues his decision to put Izuku and Bakugo in opposed teams.
    Chapter 6: Sinister Aftermath
In the aftermath of the catastrophe at the battle trial, Nezu requests answers from Aizawa and All Might. The latter takes the full blame, having believed that Izuku and Bakugo would be able to work out their differences if they fought. Aizawa reveals the two boys' common past. When the time comes to face the injured kids' mothers, Aizawa takes responsibility, thinking that All Might would only make things worse. Nezu prepares himself to deal with Bakugo and his mother.
At the medical office, Izuku and Tsuyu are sharing a bed so they can maintain contact while Izuku's Quirk heals Tsuyu. While the two talk, Izuku slips and tells Tsuyu he thinks she's cute, and Tsuyu decides to lightly tease him. Then Tae groans and Tsuyu realizes she can understand the zombie girl. Meanwhile, Aizawa bears the two teens' mothers' rightful anger as he guides them to Izuku and Tsuyu, leaving them to Recovery Girl.
The school's doctor explains Tsuyu's injuries, which are still healing but on the way to full recovery, before letting them in. Tae immediately moves to stand between the mothers and the teens, scaring Beru, but Inko quickly forestalls any trouble by telling Tae off and asking for her to bring some chairs.
Meanwhile, Mitsuki Bakugo is horrified to witness how out of control her son is, a feeling that worsens as Nezu makes it clear there will be big consequences, including Bakugo being expelled from U.A., although Nezu proposes an alternative in enrolling the boy in the General Studies course and restricting his Quirk usage until he proves he has changed for the better. Under his mother's wilting glare, Bakugo agrees.
Back at the medical office, Beru Asui observes as Inko helps her son regain his strength. Izuku allays her fears that Tsuyu may end up like Tae, as the latter had already died when Izuku used his Quirk on her, while Recovery Girl explains the cause for Tsuyu's current red eyes and that her injuries should be fully healed within a day. While the two mothers leave to deal with legal matters, Tsuyu floats out her worry that Izuku will need to stay close to keep her from becoming like Tae, but Izuku replies that he will gladly stay with her for as long as needed. The two almost kiss, but Tokoyami interrupts the moment - only for the interruption to reveal that Hagakure and Ashido had not only entered the room already, but were filming them. Tsuyu takes Ashido's phone so Izuku can delete the video, but Hagakure manages to sneak her phone out.
    Chapter 7: Sinister Reaction
Tsuyu has a dream about eating a large cinnamon roll - which turns out to be Izuku in real life, still laying under her. Guessing that she's hungry, Izuku shares some of his candy with her, staving off her hunger, only for them to get interrupted by their mothers and Recovery Girl while in a compromising position. While the mothers happily file this for future reference, Recovery Girl does a check up of Tsuyu and declares she's been healed. Tsuyu works up the nerve of letting go of Izuku.
Bakugo - clad in bracers that will warn the police if he attempts to use his Quirk - rages against his punishment, while Mitsuki verges on the edge of breaking down, sad for her lost friendship and afraid of the consequences of her son's actions, although she still holds hope that they might be able to avoid the worst of it.
To celebrate Tsuyu's recovery, Beru invites the Midoriyas to a nearby restaurant, and Beru watches as Izuku gently helps Tae eat while considering certain people's reaction to Izuku's powerful Quirk. Beru offers Inko a job to help take care of her children, and asks Izuku to walk Tsuyu from home to U.A. from then on, and both Midoriyas agree.
That night, both Izuku and Tsuyu have troubles falling asleep, although Tsuyu feels Izuku's ghost presence thanks to the remaining influence of his Quirk.
The next morning, Izuku dithers on ringing the bell to the Asui residence, only for Tae to do so. While Tsuyu quickly glomps him, the presence of Ganma, her father, frightens Izuku, but the man makes it clear he likes Izuku before leaving for his job.
At the Bakugou's, Mitsuki drowns herself in sake, unable to deal with the current reality, while Bakugo remains unchanged in his ways, even if he decides to play along for as long as he needs to regain what he considers his proper place.
Izuku and Tsuyu walk to U.A. hand-in-hand and blushing, which is not made easier by Tae pointing out their blushes. However, the two of them do talk, making it clear that they do have feelings for each other. However, when they arrive to their classroom, they are beset by their classmates, who have found from Ashido and Hagakure about them kissing and now want to have answers.
    Chapter 8: Sinister Burden
Class 1-A wonders how Izuku and Tsuyu are, and Ashido and Hagakure decide to reveal how they caught the duo kissing, much to Tokoyami's anger for their violation of Izuku and Tsuyu's privacy. When the two green-haired teens enter, they are separated for interrogation, but Aizawa puts a quick end to this and has Izuku explain how his Quirk works. After this, the teacher tells them they must complete the interrupted Battle Trial exercise - and that they must choose their class president.
An hour later, Momo and Izuku are president and vicepresident, but Tsuyu thinks he should have been president. Izuku reveals he has created an entry on Tsuyu in his journal, and Tsuyu pretty much forces Izuku to let her see it while the two of them go to meet Power Loader to get their suits repaired, which gets quickly interrupted by the manic Hatsume Mei, a first year Support student, who attempts to take the suits for repairs and (after Power Loader takes the ripped suits from her) convinces Izuku to hand her his blueprints for support items.
As they walk to rejoin their classmates, Tsuyu expresses jealousy of Mei's body, only for Izuku to reply that he finds her more attractive. However, the romantic conversation is ruined when a wayward wish of Izuku for coffee leads to the discovery that, due to Izuku's Quirk, he can control Tsuyu at a certain level - and that Tae goes feral if not under Izuku's control. Distraught, Izuku orders Tsuyu not to touch him until she is free to disobey, in spite of her begging not to do it.
    Chapter 9: Sinister Revival
Izuku feels the guilt of the unintended aspect of his Quirk, even though neither Tsuyu nor her parents blame him for it, although their classmates' reaction does not help. His nightmares about everyone rejecting him are interrupted by Tae's spirit managing to talk to him through a dream to thank him for saving her soul and giving her a second chance to live, and telling Izuku that, if he's so afraid about Tsuyu's reaction, he should ask her himself.
The next morning, Tsuyu is able to touch Izuku, proving that she has burned out the last vestiges of Izuku's Quirk, and makes it clear that she could not hate Izuku regardless of his fears.
At U.A., Nezu receives a call: the son of a friend of his has died. The circumstances are more than suspect, though: Masao (who was always happy and full of life, and was planning to become an idol under the alias "Lily") was supposedly found by his stepmother after committing suicide, but not only can a cursory check show that Masao was brutally attacked before his death, the stepmother is preventing an autopsy and pushing for the body's immediate incineration. Nezu requests Tsukauchi to bring Masao's body to U.A., and asks Izuku a favor: to return Masao to life. Although reluctant to do so, Izuku agrees on the condition that the police investigate Tae's murder, which the also present Detective Tsukauchi agrees with.
At the medical office, Izuku quickly moves, requesting clothes for Masao while he pulls some blood from himself into Masao's body. A few minutes pass, and when Tsukauchi is ready to give up, Masao wakes up again - and speaks. While Recovery Girl notes that Masao is still clinically dead, the child's scared comments clue Tsukauchi and Nezu into what happened to Masao: he was sold to a group of pedophiles who abused and killed him.
    Chapter 10: Sinister Insight
Tsuyu awaits for Izuku to return to class, worried about what may have happened to him, while their classmates offer suggestions as to why he was called away. While Uraraka unwittingly reveals her intention to ask Izuku out, the green-haired teen returns with Tae and Lily. After an initial bad moment due to Mineta's perverted comments, the others quickly move to gently welcome Lily to their classroom. When Aizawa returns, Izuku informs him about the change - and Aizawa bolts from the classroom after recognizing Lily from a previous encounter, realizing he missed what may have been attempts to request his help. The reveal that Lily is also a zombie causes further discussion among the students.
Midnight finds Aizawa hidden under the stairs and asks him what's wrong. Aizawa obliquely tells her what happened and asks for her opinion on what to do. Unfortunately, Midnight's semi-jokingly made comment of going on a rampage against the people who killed Lily is taken at face value by Aizawa, who begins plotting how to do so.
Back with 1-A, the students remain separated, either with Lily or with their own thing, while Tsuyu attempts to calm Izuku and asks for his help with homework, only to become surprised that, even though Izuku could not do his homework either, he already knows most of the syllabus. Tokoyami and Jiro decide to sit with them, and the four begin to plan out a study group.
After school ends, Izuku, Tsuyu, Tae and Lily remain behind, as Lily needs to be identified and Tsuyu has to undergo detention for her earlier leaving of class. The three are surprised to see Nezu, along with the man Izuku met at Dagobah - All Might in his emaciated form - to come oversee the detention. However, Nezu offers them an easy detention, in the form of Izuku playing chess with the Principal while everyone else watches, and Izuku accepts. During the game, Nezu asks Izuku about his opinions on society and the Quirk Hierarchy, becoming pleasantly surprised by Izuku's statement that Quirks or power should not be the yardstick for people's worth in society.
After the game ends, the two teens and two zombies leave together, with Nezu and All Might staying behind, as they discuss the plans for the following day: rescue operations training at the USJ.
    Chapter 11: Sinister Intrusion
Mitsuki and Bakugo enter an office where the attorneys for U.A. and the Asui and Iida families await for them, for the hearing on whether Bakugo can actually prove he's willing to change for the better. Unfortunately, Bakugo is unwilling to accept he's to blame for the event that has led him here.
The 1-A students, meanwhile, are being taken by bus to the USJ, for their rescue training. Ojiro claims that Izuku using zombies is wrong, angering Tokoyami since the comment the blond makes could also refer to him, although Izuku calms his friend down. While Tokoyami turns to Izuku's analysis of his Quirk, Mina is somewhat fuming about not having a target to have fun with, and decides to call attention to the fact that Tae is well cleaned up, more than she ought to be. When Izuku confesses that he helps her shower, Mineta intervenes, only for his perverted comments to be quickly shot down by Izuku and his handgun (which, fortunately, only fires bullets that create expanding foam on impact). Ignoring his students' roughhousing, Aizawa worries about his suspicions that something may go wrong soon - particularly after a break-in during the night that somehow ended with the barrier that protects the school disintegrated.
Everyone is impressed when they see the interior of the USJ dome, and more when they meet their rescue training teacher, Thirteen. Aizawa notes something to be wrong when All Might is nowhere to be seen. Thirteen soon begins a lecture on safe Quirk usage, but the end is curtailed when the electricity dies - and a group of villains enters the building through a portal. While Aizawa faces the villains, the students attempt to evacuate, but they are stopped by a mist-like villain who claims his group is the League of Villains and have come to U.A. with the purpose of killing All Might.
Izuku notices Thirteen is about to attack the villain and prepares to shoot the latter, but Kirishima and Ojiro interrupt them by attempting to attack on their own, only to fail, and allowing the villain to make his own attack - by opening several portals and sending the students away. The only ones left behind are Izuku, Iida, Uraraka, Tae and Thirteen. Angry, Izuku orders Iida to run for the school and has Tae pry the door open. The villain tries to stop her, but Thirteen uses Black Hole to trap him for long enough to allow Tae and Iida to carry out their missions.
Furious, the villain turns on Thirteen and opens a portal behind the hero - only for Izuku to jump in and push Thirteen away, although in the process Izuku loses a foot. Taking advantage of the distraction, Izuku shoots the villain with his gun, causing the foam to impact his collar and blocking his respirator, while Tae whales on him with her crowbar. Although the villain is incapacitated, Izuku knows it is just the beginning.
    Chapter 12: Sinister Battlefield
All Might gets a speech from Nezu on knowing his own limits, as the Principal points out that, now that he's a teacher at U.A., he has to change his priorities, particularly since he just used up his time for the day in stopping petty crimes on the way to school.
At the USJ, Tsuyu and Kaminari are dropped into the Flood Zone. Tsuyu quickly gathers her bearings and saves a panicking Kaminari from a shark-like villain. Tsuyu attempts to get Kaminari to help plan out how to escape the villains surrounding them, but when it is obvious Kaminari is nowhere close to calming down - and ready to hug Tsuyu - the girl pushes him back into the water, whereupon Kaminari unleashes his Quirk, shocking all the villains.
At the Conflagration Zone, Sato, Sero, Shoji and Todoroki are surrounded by villains, and get ready to battle as Todoroki begins to unleash his powers.
In the Ruins Zone, Kirishima and Ojiro lambast themselves for their foolhardy attack on the mist-like villain, and are bringing down the villains attacking them. As the two realize all their classmates were likely ported away as well, a large villain arrives to attack the two of them - only for Ashido and Hagakure to accidentally bring down the ceiling on him, saving her classmates. However, the fight is nowhere close to be done.
Back at the entrance, Izuku is about to shoot the villain down when Uraraka tackles him to keep him from killing the villain, giving the latter the time to escape, much to Izuku's chagrin. It is then that Uraraka notices that Izuku's foot is missing, and he asks Tae to bring him his medkit, allowing him to eat a highly-concentrated nutrient bar that allows him to regenerate his lost foot, while telling Uraraka to heal Thirteen's wounds. Once he recovers, Izuku hands his gun to Uraraka, while moving to assist Aizawa.
In the Downpour Zone, Aoyama and Tokoyami lay down a trap on the approaching villains, with the former causing several vehicles to explode, while the latter unleashes Dark Shadow on them.
In the Landslide Zone, Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Mineta and Lily are surrounded by villains, and when it becomes obvious that the villains intend to rape Yaoyorozu, Mineta suggests she let them do it, only to get struck down by a furious Jiro, and Lily manages to trap the villains' leader with her expanding foam SMG, giving an opening to the other girls to fight back.
Back at the plaza, Aizawa struggles to deal with the overwhelming number of villains, and the distraction caused by the mist villain's return lets another villain to get past Aizawa - only for said villain to get knocked out by a blast of Izuku's shotgun, and Izuku quickly informs Aizawa of what happened. Moving to assist Aizawa, Izuku and Tae help him hold off the villains while Izuku looks for Tsuyu: when he sees her coming from the Flood Zone, he rushes to her side.
Meanwhile, the villain covered in hands - Tomura Shigaraki - uses his Decay Quirk to rid the mist villain - Kurogiri - of the foam partially covering his respirator. Wondering who Tae is, Shigaraki sends the large creature - Nomu - accompanying him to attack Tae. Quickly, the monster slaps Tae away, distracting Aizawa again and allowing Shigaraki to close in on the teacher, who uses his Quirk to destroy Aizawa's arm while the creature breaks the other arm. While the Nomu continues to attack Aizawa, Shigaraki spots Tsuyu and attacks her, only for Izuku to jump in and stand between them - and, much to Shigaraki's surprise, Decay does nothing to Izuku, who promptly blasts him in the face with his shotgun. Izuku stumbles, weakened from his quick regeneration, and Shigaraki orders the Nomu to kill Izuku and Tsuyu - only for All Might to arrive just in time.
    Chapter 13: Sinister Counterattack
Furious at seeing his students and fellow teachers in danger, All Might quickly jumps to move Aizawa, Izuku, Tsuyu and Kaminari away from the villains. Meanwhile, Tsuyu realizes that Izuku's regeneration is slowing down and helps him eat a protein bar and then drink some water (provided by a mangled Tae) so he can recover. When Tsuyu prepares to take everyone back to the entrance, Izuku stops her, because Lily is still in the Landslide Zone.
Meanwhile, All Might takes the fight to the villains, launching an attack on Shigaraki, only for the Nomu to block the attack without suffering injuries. Aizawa asks Izuku to use his Quirk on him, because someone needs to warn All Might about the Nomu's powers, and Tsuyu reluctantly helps Izuku feed his blood to Aizawa.
In the Landslide Zone, the three girls are managing to hold off the villains thanks to their combined skills and Lily's SMG, but then the SMG runs out of ammo. One of the villains tries to charge her, only for Lily to answer by throwing the weapon at him so hard that it knocks him out. Lily feels the pull of Izuku needing her help, only for a villain that can go invisible to take her hostage - and Lily answers by biting off the villain's fingers and finishing her off with her Quirk, Discordant Song - which unfortunately also knocks out Momo and weakens Lily enough that she can barely move.
At the Downpour Zone, Tokoyami manages to hold off the villains, only for another villain with a chainsaw to attack Tokoyami, taking advantage of the numbers to force him on the defensive until another punches him. Angrily, Tokoyami - at Dark Shadow's suggestion - manages to use one of Izuku's suggested moves and combines himself with Dark Shadow, turning himself into a huge creature that is pretty much invulnerable, destroying the chainsaw and whaling on the villains.
At the Ruins Zone, Kirishima, Ojiro, Ashido and Hagakure keep fighting off villains, with Kirishima noting how the others are doing their part, when a spider-like villain manages to capture Ojiro, forcing Ashido and Kirishima to surrender. When the villain holding Ashido suggests raping her before killing the kids, Hagakure brutally attacks the one holding Ojiro, breaking his arm and giving the others an opening to counter, finishing off the remaining villains.
Back at the plaza, Izuku's Quirk has saved Aizawa, although Izuku is still far from completely recovering. All Might manages to take a hold on the Nomu and suplexes him, only for Kurogiri to take advantage of it by opening a portal, trapping All Might between the two parts while the Nomu attacks All Might, preventing the latter from escaping. At the last second, though, Todoroki arrives and spears the Nomu with his ice, allowing All Might to avert the deadly trap. The Nomu frees himself from the ice, and All Might and a now recovered Aizawa order Todoroki, Sero, Sato and Shoji to back off, and the two teachers go back to fight the Nomu and Shigaraki - who is shocked at Aizawa's sudden recovery.
Izuku, now recovered, has come up with an idea: if All Might manages to restrain the Nomu, he can jump in and force his blood into the Nomu's exposed brain, which might give him control and stop the creature. As expected, when Aizawa attacks Shigaraki the Nomu gets distracted and All Might manages to grapple him, and Izuku jumps in. However, All Might himself gets distracted at the shock of seeing Izuku putting his hand on the Nomu's brain and lets loose, allowing the Nomu to grab Izuku and wreck him before throwing him away - but not before Izuku grabs the brain, ripping it off and killing the Nomu. The other teachers finally arrive, and Kurogiri and Shigaraki escape, while Izuku falls unconscious.
    Chapter 14: Sinister Result
Mitsuki's hope that her son would manage to avoid the worst of his punishment has failed, as Bakugo was unable to rein himself in nor actually show his remorse. Bakugo is taken to a mental institution where they will work to determine if Bakugo should be allowed to remain free. In despair, Mitsuki decides to try to call Inko, since she's her only hope.
At U.A., Nezu angrily laments how he and the other teachers arrived too late to do anything other than detain the villains that the students have already fought. While only three students have been heavily injured (Iida, Yaoyorozu and Izuku), all of them are in great shock after being forced to fight for their lives, and Nezu anticipates turmoil from the events at the USJ from without and within the school. Aizawa gives his report on the attack, listing the worst affected students, both physical and mentally, while it becomes clear that Izuku's Quirk is affecting him and his impartiality.
At the medical office, Izuku manages to wake up, and is immediately jumped on by Tsuyu, who immediately shows him how worried she was, because this time his injuries were so severe that he was left clinically dead for two minutes. Izuku manages to calm her down by hugging her, and tells her he loves her, which she reciprocates. Their tender moment is gently interrupted by Inko, as well as Kyouka and Tokoyami, who bring food for Izuku.
Meanwhile, Beru meets with the teachers to demand explanations for the attack. Nezu admits that they have no excuse beyond the fact that security had weakened in the past years, and Aizawa hands the lawyer the report on the incident. Reading it, she accepts helping U.A. in working how to help prevent the students from getting in trouble for their actions.
Back at the medical office, Inko takes Tsuyu away for a private talk leaving Izuku alone with his thoughts - and all he does is believe he is going to be expelled after his accidental killing of the Nomu, as well as blame himself for Yaoyorozu's injuries. Tokoyami and Kyouka tell Izuku and Yaoyorozu that they can take care of their obligations as class representatives until the two recover. The two leave, and Uraraka arrives, asking about his health and hinting at wanting to have a date with him, but Izuku gently lets her down, while Tsuyu returns and makes it obvious that she and Izuku are dating now. Uraraka leaves the room crying, while Momo (who is still mostly deaf from Lily's Quirk) loudly asks what happened.
    Chapter 15: Sinister Truth
At night, Recovery Girl attempts to understand how Izuku's Quirk works, while observing him - still in the medical office after he recklessly pulled out too much blood to feed Tae and Lily - and the other patients in the room. Hatsume arrives then with Recovery Girl's weekly delivery of medical magazines and, upon seeing what the school nurse is working on, notes the similarity to the work of a hero called Nanoman, giving Recovery Girl a hint of where to look for answers.
The next day, Class 1-A returns to homeroom, but for a different reason: therapy. Aizawa arrives - putting a stop to a discussion over Izuku and Tsuyu hugging - and tells them that they need to meet with psychologists to help recover from the previous day's events, but Izuku's presence has been requested at Nezu's office.
Izuku (who is in a wheelchair on doctor's orders) is wheeled by Tae and Lily to Nezu's office. Nezu begins their meeting by stating that Izuku's fears are for naught, and Tsukauchi and the principal reveal that the Nomu was a man subjected to such horrible experiments that he was practically braindead, so Izuku's actions barely amounted to anything compared to what the Nomu had already suffered. All Might - who is also in the room - reassures Izuku that not only he can still be a hero, but in fact shows the spirit of one great hero, even after Izuku reveals he had thoughts of killing Kurogiri. Tsukauchi then makes an offer to Izuku: a chance to intern at the police department for a week. After considering it, Izuku accepts. After All Might gifts him a couple of passes so he can take Tsuyu on a date, Izuku leaves - and the adults begin to discuss what the situation with the Nomu might mean, with All Might declaring he intends to pass his Quirk to his successor that day.
Later that day, Nezu reviews the files on the students' first sessions, paying special attention to the ones from Izuku, Tsuyu, Uraraka, Iida and Kaminari, with Izuku providing an exhaustive list of things he and his classmates could have done that would have ensured a victory for the students. As he finishes the reading, he receives a call: Takeo, Lily's father, has finally been found.
    Chapter 16: Sinister Date
Much to Nezu's chagrin, his prediction was true, and the journalists at the press conference are asking loaded questions in an obvious attempt to make the students look bad. However, between him, Aizawa and Beru, they manage to push for an unbiased narrative of the events, although it is obvious the journalist wanted something more shocking.
Meanwhile, the students have their individual meetings with the psychologists. Izuku is confronted with the fact that his self-deprecation is unwarranted. Tsuyu shows deep admiration of Izuku and his abilities. Ojiro confesses the reasons for his hatred of Izuku - or rather, his Quirk. Mineta attempts to cover up for his mistake. Yaoyorozu is recovering, but appears to be somewhat obsessed with Lily.
After his own session, Iida is forced to admit the fact that he didn't fully trust Izuku due to his Quirk, and lambasts himself for his errors. Finding a clearly depressed Uraraka, Iida asks her what is wrong with her, and after struggling with what to do she reveals what happened earlier with Izuku.
Done with the day, Izuku uses the passes All Might gifted him to the local All Might-theme park for a date with Tsuyu, with Tae acting as their chaperone. Unknown to them, they are being followed by Kyoka and Fumikage, who want to make sure their friends' date goes unmolested. Kyoka manages to get a hold of Kirishima so he can distract Ashido, and the two follow Izuku and Tsuyu while Kirishima decides to take Ashido to watch a film marathon at a nearby cinema.
The date doesn't have a good start, as Tsuyu's proposal of going to the House of Terror backfires when it turns out it is zombie-themed, so Tsuyu suggests the shooting range booth. Quickly, Izuku proves his marksman skills by easily correcting the rigged gun's deviation to win three plushies for Tsuyu and her siblings, and Tae wins two for herself, much to the attendant's shock. All the while, Kyoka and Fumikage speak with each other, and the latter asks the former why she's so interested in ensuring Izuku has fun with Tsuyu: Kyoka reveals that Izuku saved her from a man that nearly killed her a few years before, and one of the reasons she joined U.A. was because she found out Izuku intended to go to the hero school and she wanted to pay him back.
Ignorant of the drama behind them, Izuku and Tsuyu go into the Tunnel of Love, where they take advantage of the darkness to kiss, while behind them Fumikage and Kyoka keep bickering, until Fumikage mentions he finds her cute, embarrassing both of them into silence.
Back at U.A., Nezu curses himself for telling his friend Takeo about Lily's current place, and arrives too late to prevent Takeo from stampeding towards his son.
    Chapter 17: Sinister Bond
Bakugo, now residing in the psychiatric ward, has had to deal with three roommates, the last of which attempted to molest him, so now he's being assigned a new roommate. When Bakugo's handler Bo lets him in, he quickly runs back out, because his new roommate is a girl and completely naked. Bo positively notes the fact that he did not make a deal out of her spider-like features and asks Konno to get dressed, before leaving the two of them to their own.
At U.A., Momo is taking care of Lily, where Lily displays her feelings of guilt over Momo's lingering hearing problems, but Momo reassures her otherwise. Izuku and Tsuyu arrive early, much to Momo's shock. Their conversation is cut short when a giant man literally charges towards Lily, with Momo attacking the man with a staff when she thinks he's dangerous, only for Lily to dispel the situation when she reveals that the man is her father, Takeo Go.
Momo apologizes for the attack, and Lily attempts to introduce Izuku and the others to Takeo, but the man ignores it and tries to grab Lily so they can return home. Lily replies that she doesn't want to leave, because she doesn't feel safe there. Izuku tries to placate Takeo, but the man angrily accuses Izuku of being a monster. Nezu arrives, lamenting not arriving before Takeo, and has the man and Izuku join him in his office so the father can learn what happened.
Two days later, most of 1-A meets to work on an assignment, while Tsuyu and Lily attempt to rebuild Izuku's mental state. Meanwhile, Hagakure morosely contemplates her inability to be herself, as well as her actions at the USJ. Shoji asks her if she is alright, much to Hagakure's shock at the fact that he can see her: turns out, one of Izuku's ideas has been successful, and Shoji can create an organ able to "see" in the infrared spectrum. At the same time, Ashido and Kirishima try to keep their minds out of the troubling event, and Kyouka laughs at Momo after the latter reveals she did not know Lily is actually a boy.
Kaminari notices that Iida and Uraraka are missing, and Sero wonders if they are dating. While Mineta tries to keep control under the knowledge that he's on a razor-thin edge, Fumikage chides Sero and Kaminari for spreading rumors about their classmates. Kaminari makes a bad bestiality joke that causes everyone but Sero and Mineta to glare at him, while Kaminari feels horrible about it. Kyouka decides to kiss him, much to everyone's shock.
Takeo visits Recovery Girl, who had been her teacher years before, and asks for her help in trying to understand Izuku's Quirk - so he can undo his child's death and bring Lily back to his side.
    Chapter 18: Sinister Guidance
Due to his extensive injuries, Aizawa is put on "administrative leave" until he burns through Izuku's blood. 1-A's homeroom teacher uses the free time he now has to plan out a trap for the men that killed Lily: using the intelligence boost Izuku's blood has granted him, he has managed to find how said men meet and the child trafficking network they use, which allows him to arrange one such meeting. With the police and a reporter warned about it, they will be able to catch them red-handed. The only snag in the plan is the sudden arrival of Emi Fukukado, alias Ms. Joke, warned by Midnight because of her concerns for Aizawa's well-being, but otherwise the plan is successful.
The next day, Izuku, Tae, and Lily go to the Musutafu Police HQ on Tsukauchi's request: Ryuji and Saki Nikaido, father and daughter, have been murdered, and the police need to find out who is behind it. Izuku, reviewing the man's information, is able to deduce Ryuji Nikaido was actually a former CIA agent that became a fundamental piece in stopping an international anti-Quirk terrorist organization - and the police want to make sure the attack is not related to said organization. Tsukauchi asks Izuku not to tell anyone about his deduction.
Izuku proceeds to give his blood to the Nikaidos. Saki rises, growling the same way as Tae, but after Tae slaps Saki in the back of the head, the latter is able to speak normally again. Unfortunately, Ryuji does not wake up, revealing that Izuku's Quirk has a limitation. Tsukauchi attempts to ask Saki questions about the attack, but it takes Izuku to ensure she gives answers. Saki's tale reveals she and her father were attacked by an assassin and several Yakuza youngbloods: between the two of them, they managed to kill the Yakuza, but the assassin was able to kill them both. Tsukauchi is able to identify the assassin from Saki's description.
While Saki is busy freaking out over her current state, Tsukauchi finds the suspect and brings her to HQ. Saki identifies her as her killer - and Izuku as the woman that killed Tae. Tsukauchi brings everyone in to help interrogate the assassin - Ikaruga, the Trinity Raven.
