ᴛʜᴇ ɴᴏᴇᴅᴏʟᴇᴋᴄɪɴ ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇꜱ is an Analog Horror ARG created by Seismo and produced by a collective known as "Ghost Planet."

What starts as a series of broadcast anomalies soon turns into a Cosmic Horror Story, as "Kirk Odd", an entity taking the form of the 1991 Nickelodeon "hay pile" logo, hijacks the channel's broadcasts with plans of stealing the souls of children watching the network for his sinister needs. Alongside him are his cohorts, who are known as "wardens," who do the same thing to any Nicktoon they come across.

The whole series can be found here.

Due to the nature of this series, all spoilers will be unmarked! You Have Been Warned.

ᴛʜᴇ ɴᴏᴇᴅᴏʟᴇᴋᴄɪɴ ᴀʀᴄʜɪᴠᴇꜱ provides examples of:

  • Adaptation Expansion: The original "noedoleckiN" concept was comprised of poorly-made logo edits created by young creators. Here, the anomalies have an actual backstory in the form of an otherworldly entity wreaking havoc at the hotels in Universal Orlando Resort.
  • Aerith and Bob: You've got characters named Gabore and Hypsypops. And then, you've got Kirk.
  • Aliens of London: Kirk may be from space, but he speaks fluent English in a (maybe) British accent.
  • All There in the Manual: The bulk of the lore not provided in the videos can be found on the creator's Twitter.
  • And I Must Scream: "Strange Nicktoons Network Anomaly (2007)" reveals that a kid named Jenica Wakeman has been trapped in Kirk Odd's hell, while in the form of Jenny Wakeman, for nine years with no hope or way of getting out.
  • Artificial Human: In this case, an artificial Otherkind. Seismo confirmed in a now-deleted tweet that Kirk spawned an artificially-created Otherkind, named Nova, into being. The way how she was conceived is unknown at this time.
  • Bizarre Alien Biology: Word of God confirmed that Kirk Odd's species is called the Otherkind, a species of aliens that primarily do not have physical forms. When they take on physical forms, they do not look like ordinary humans. They either have a Cyclops eye or Extra Eyes, and they either have Extra Digits or are missing digits from their hands.invoked
  • Cold Ham: Kirk Odd delivers his speeches very dramatically in all of his appearances in a very low, but loud voice. The only times where he really screams are when he's about to kill someone.
  • Cyclops: Kirk Odd's distinguishing feature is the single bulbous eye in the middle of his face.
  • Dream Weaver: When a fan asked Seismo if Kirk was able to manipulate a person's dreams, he replied that he could. A similar thing occurs with Hypsypops, except he can manipulate the dreams of various Nickelodeon characters, not real-life people.
  • Emotional Regression: Implied to happen with Jenica Wakeman. Spending nearly a decade trapped in a hellhole took a toll on her mental state, and by the time she was able to issue a cry for help in "Strange Nicktoons Network Anomaly (2007)", she was using language more suitable for a 6-year-old than a high school sophomore.
"I want to run away from the red man"
  • Evil Brit: Kirk Odd is a malevolent entity, and he talks in a low, British accent.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Kirk Odd talks in a very deep voice to add to his overall creepy appearance.
  • Foregone Conclusion: The lore states that Kirk's reign of terror ended in 2008, ten years after he first appeared in 1998, confirming his murder spree had been stopped. How he ends up being defeated is unknown at this time, however.
  • Four-Fingered Hands: Upon closer inspection of Kirk Odd's Scratch model, he has only three fingers on his hands. Word of God confirmed that he always had three fingers.
  • Gender Flip: The official designation for the Nick Jr. logo from 1988 to 2009 is called "Father and Son", featuring an orange humanoid, Nick, and a smaller blue humanoid, Jr, both commonly envisioned as male. In TNA, Jr. is confirmed to be female through Word of God.
  • Gory Discretion Shot: The very end of "Strange Nicktoons Network Anomaly (2007)" features a cropped photo of Jenica Wakeman's corpse with her face censored by a red box.
  • Hell Is That Noise:
    • Partway in the middle of "Nick Jr. Anomaly (2001, Found Footage)", there is a very heavily distorted version of a child screaming. The captions read it as simply Kirk Odd saying "Me".
    • The screechy noise Splaat, or Gabore, makes in "December 30, 1999" also deserves a mention.
    • In "Strange Nicktoons Network Anomaly (2007)", while Jenica is trying to reach the audience and says she wants to see her mom, a horrific screaming can be heard, presumably what she screamed when Kirk killed her.
  • Hungry Menace: Gabore, the Warden of Glutton, appears in the broadcast hijackings and devours any Nickelodeon character unfortunate enough to meet him, regardless of species.
  • Impostor Forgot One Detail: In "Nick Jr. Anomaly (2001, Found Footage)", the 1993 Nick Jr. "Father and Son" logo plays during the credits to an episode of Little Bear, but the writing on Nick's chest is rendered backward. This is the first hint that this "Nick" is actually Kirk Odd in disguise.
  • Jump Scare:
    "ACCEPT MY OFFER!"
  • Kill All Humans: Kirk's main goal is to kill human children, take their souls, and (seemingly) torture them.
  • Letting the Air out of the Band: Played for Horror. "December 30, 1999" has the music from the 1998 Klasky-Csupo Vanity Plate slow down to a crawl as Splaat's eyes turn completely pitch black.
  • Maker of Monsters: Kirk Odd created the wardens, and each warden shares a different aspect of his powers: Gabore shares his hunger for organic beings, Hypsypops has his power of dream weaving, and Skinner shares his ability to shapeshift.
  • Master of Disguise: According to the Word of God, Kirk disguises as a Viacom International employee named "Keaton Osborn". Once he gets caught, he wipes out all the information about his human form.
  • Otherworldly and Sexually Ambiguous: Kirk Odd is an extraterrestrial being and is confirmed by Word of Gay to be genderfluid and aroace.invoked
  • Reality Warper: Implied, as Kirk Odd seemingly can make objects appear and disappear. In the description of "Nick Jr. Anomaly (2001, Found Footage)", a child told investigators that he heard his younger sister screaming, but when the police came in the room, the girl was already dead, and beside her corpse was a taco shell filled with organs that wasn't in the room before.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Kirk takes on a red version of the Nickelodeon Haypile logo, has one black eye, and is a soul-stealing entity responsible for the broadcast hijackings.
  • Shapeshifter Guilt Trip: According to a now-deleted tweet, Kirk can shapeshift into anyone, while still maintaining his creepy appearance. The exact purpose was initially unknown until "Nick Jr. Anomaly (2001, Found Footage)" confirmed that he shapeshifted into Nick to give Jr. a false sense of security.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Television Portal: This is Kirk's primary method of entering our world. According to Seismo in a now-deleted tweet, Kirk can crawl out of the TV screen and kill whoever is watching him.
  • The Thing That Would Not Leave: Nickelodeon treats Kirk as one, as they have tried several times to get rid of him, but none so far have succeeded.
  • Tom the Dark Lord: The mastermind behind the anomalies is named "Kirk".
  • Tombstone Teeth: In his true form, Kirk Odd has an unnaturally wide smile with large, yellowing teeth.
  • To Serve Man: According to a now-deleted tweet, Kirk Odd occasionally eats his victims while stealing their souls.
  • Uncertain Doom:
    • In "July 25, 2005", SpongeBob is last seen collapsed on the floor of the Krusty Krab with Kirk and Gabore looking at him menacingly before the screen cuts to black, with the heavy implication that he died. Word of God would later confirm that SpongeBob did survive, and the Nickelodeon operators cut Kirk and Gabore off before they could kill him, but whether or not SpongeBob sustained any serious injuries is unknown.invoked
    • In "Blue's Clues Anomaly (2002, Found Footage)", Kirk invades the house, making the two leads disappear. After the footage returns to normal, Blue can be seen in the credits completely unharmed, however Steve's fate is left ambiguous.
  • Wham Episode:
    • "Strange Nicktoons Network Anomaly (2007)" features the first onscreen victim of Kirk Odd's murder spree, Jenica Avery Wakeman. After being killed by Kirk, her soul took on the form of Jenny Wakeman, and she remained trapped in his domain, for nine years by the time the anomaly was recorded.
    • While it was initially unknown whether or not the wardens existed naturally or they were spawned into being, "December 30, 1999" confirms that Kirk's wardens were actually artificial beings created by Kirk to torment the Nicktoons.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: In an otherwise non-canon video message, Kirk Odd implies that he feels no romantic attraction towards anyone, and he will never understand our human concept of romance.
  • What the Hell Is That Accent?: Kirk Odd talks in a peculiar mashup of an American and a British accent, similar to a Transatlantic accent.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Kirk has a sizable body count, as he has killed and stolen the souls of many innocent children thus far. Animated children aren't safe from him either, as Double D and Jr. learn the hard way.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: Kirk Odd's primary objective is to collect the souls of children. The purpose of these souls was initially unknown until "Strange Nicktoons Network Anomaly (2007)" was uploaded. The video heavily implied that Kirk steals children's souls so he could torture them in his Hell forever.
